@@millenniumman75 It's an interesting topic. I'm a logic guy and I like to see how things work, so I like to explain and draw my students attention to these details, BUT I've also seen that overanaliziation hurts some students progress. Immersion and not thinking in translation, but just thinking in the target language may be even more important. At least that what I found when I learnt languages. If I had to describe a perfect language student I would say he/she doesn't translate, but just thinks in the target language and feels it unconsciously, but if he/she is asked to explain what happens in a grammar level can switch on his conscious side and see the logical bits.

Yes, so 'súly' is weight as a noun. 'súlyzó' is weight also and a noun also, but with a different meaning. súlyzó is either a dumbbell or barbell. If we want to be specific 'egykezes súlyzó' is dumbbell (one-arm weight) and 'kétkezes súlyzó' is a barbell (two-arm weight). Unfortunately English doesn't differentiate between weights in a gym and any other kind of weights. Ezt a súlyt nem bírja el a kocsi. - The car can't take that weight. Súlyzókkal edzek. - I train with weights (dumbbell and/or barbell). And yes, nehézsúlyú világbajnok (long Ú at the end) is 'heavyweight world champion', and in that case nehézsúlyú is an adjective :)

@@annalarina370 Yes, we can, but in that case we translate it to 'to delete'. And not just messages, but files, etc. Töröld ki az üzeneteid! - Delete you messages! Töröltem 3 fájlt. - I deleted 3 files.

@@gf4453 Good question! Because töröl is the stem, but verbs can have prefixes which modify a meaning to some extent. The ideas that occurred to me required 'le', but other contexts/situation might require other prefixes or just the stem. 🙂 For example: - Mit csinálsz? - Épp poharakat törlök.

The LE denotes direction of the action. Technically, Dáni is wiping "down" the board. Leülök "I sit down" - ülni means "to sit". It may also change the English wording of the translation as well. Other prefixes.... Fel - up Be - in(to) Ki - out El - away. Elsétálok "I walk away" - sétálni means "to walk" Vissza - back. Visszasétálok "I walk back".
