If you like gaming, you should read Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin. I loved it!
Hey cool, my 39th birthday was April 29th :)
We have a lot in common. Almost the same age, our relationship is the same length (I met my husband in 2006 and we were married in 2011), I love video games (mainly Zelda and Mario). Nintendo fangirl, I love karaoke and have actually sang Mr. Jones and Me before. I don't eat breakfast much (just coffee and sometimes cereal).
High five ✋
@@Margar02 Very cool! Happy belated birthday! And I'm very into Zelda BotW right now. We JUST got a Swtich (about damn time) and I'm pretty obsessed. ❤
I went to the grocery store with my mom to see the cute check out boy...I was 12 and he was 17 and didn't notice me at all. Twelve years later we married. That was 47 years ago. Happy Birthday!
Cute story!
Happy Birthday. I remember turning 39 and then 40…lol… Every decade has it’s own beauty. When I turned 50 I thought those years were amazing, way less worry or concern about what people thought about me or what they think. Then I turned 60 and man, I thought the 50’s were great, the 60’s are even better. Enjoy each day, each decade. Life has a lot to offer and offers us lots to enjoy. Cheers from Sue Johnston, Orangeville, Ontario, Canada, now 68 soon 69.
My husband and I got married 2 months after we got to know each other - that was over 43 years ago. I turned 70 last year, am the mother of six (four girls and two boys), and grandmother of 18. I pretty much learned to knit and crochet at the same time in my mid-thirties, and I also love watercolor painting as well as pastels. I lost my younger son David in 2019, and I have his wonderful art on my wall to remember him by. He was the one who introduced me to games - both Crono Trigger on the Nintendo and then Final Fantasy on the PlayStation.
Happy birthday!!! The clips you added to your answers were fantastic. 😆 Also "Why trade when you've got both?" was my favorite answer of them all. 👏
Thank you Kelly! I'm glad you enjoyed the little clips. I like adding those to keep the things lively. 😉 ❤️
Good for you!! Loving your podcasts and HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY! I fell in love with my husband in 8th grade-altho we never went to same schools! We went to different high schools as well as colleges and got married in 1963-SOOOOO on June 8 we will celebrate our 60th anniversary!! Yay! May you two have many many more years together as well! ❤️
Aw cute, you got married the year I got divorced! We're like opposite twins lol. Editing Branden into the Castaway scene was comedy gold, btw.
It’s my birthday weekend as well! 🎉 I turned 38 on Friday.
Happy, happy birthday, Tayler!!!
Hubby and I met when I was working at Mazzio’s Pizza. First thing he saw was my backside as I was on the counter, cleaning the walls. I guess he liked what he saw! We will be married 38 years in May.
I love watching your videos!
😂😂😂❤
Happy Birthday Tayler!! I'd love to join you for a Counting Crows Karaoke!!! The album This Desert Life has such amazing memories for me- when my family first came to visit New Zealand (where we then moved 2 years later), that was one of the only albums we had in the rental car, and so all three of us knew it by heart after 3 weeks!! Even now, 18 years later when I play it, it takes me straight back to seeing what is now my home for the first time, and to all of those ridiculous jokes that you develop on a long family road trip!
I love all the answers and some made me smile. In fact I'm still smiling. And, You go girl! If you see the "one", why wait for fate! Thank you for sharing all of this. My daughter turns 40 this year, so hearing your music choices and a lot of your answers made me smile.
"Queens are born in April" I celebrated my 41st bday on the 4th and I share your love for alternative music. Our 90s grunge was epic. Mr Jones is definitely a favorite of mine! I also watched the Super Mario Bros movie this past week and it was so much fun! I hope you had a lovely birthday and were able to celebrate all weekend! Thanks for the sharing yourself with us! ❤
Happy Birthday, Tayler! Your birthday is the date my husband and I got married - we just celebrated 35 years, yesterday. I'll tell ya...it goes by SO fast! We met when we were 7 years old and got married when we were 30. I am also a hockey fan (Canucks). I love cats more than just about anything and have rescued 20+ over the years and I'm waiting...patiently...still waiting...to see a photo of your Oscar 😻🙏
“Why trade when you got both?”😂😅 Love it!
Also my birthday weekend. I turned 55 today (16th). Happy Happy!
Happy Birthday Tayler! I loved this podcast. So nice to get to know more about you. My husband and I met in college and we just celebrated our 53rd anniversary. I'm happy to know that you love horses. I've been in the horse world for 45 years and I love it. I'm 74 and still ride my girl, GG, 5 days a week. Have a fun dinner out tonight!!!!!
We are kindred spirits in our music tastes ❤. One of my favourite songs is Mr Jones by the Counting Crows and anyone who knows me well can vouch for that. Most people don’t know the song or confuse it with Mrs Jones lol. You are the first person I’ve heard say that’s their favourite song. And The Cranberries…what can I say….love them and sad I never got to see them….love your segments, keep being you - you bring me joy ❤. And Happy belated birthday
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAYLER!
Thank you friend! ❤️
Omg, it’s my 25th birthday today and I was sooooo happy to see my favorite channel joining in the festivities! Yay April babies 🎉 love the video, love the channel! Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤ p.s. I love the movie clips you include, they make me smile so big everytime 😊
Happy birthday Isabella! I hope you have a great week! ❤️
Happy Birthday Tayler. Enjoy your birthday activities.
Girl, you’re the cutest! I love that story about how you met Brandon. I’m from Chicago. I was a hair colorist for 30 years. I recently had to stop due to physical issues. I’ve cranked up the knitting and have similar interests to yours. Except, I’m a bit of a clothing shopper. Every time I think about something pertaining fiber, you’re doing a video about the same subject. It’s incredible 😂💃🏻💕
As a mom of triplet 16 year old girls. I can honestly say it is very stressfull lol. This is why I sew and knit, to relax and let my brain wonder. Happy Birthday!
I really love talking yarn, knitting and crocheting with my youngest daughter. There's a great yarn store in town that carries yarn I just love and I enjoy getting her feedback on projects for her and the grandkids.
I think we have a kindred spirit. I was crazy in love with horses throughout my life but never owned one until I turned 60. My husband encouraged me to become part owner of a Standard Bred horse, a pacer, with the plan to keep the horse after its racing career. Because of a suspected hip issue, the other two owners decided to sell their share to me. At age 60 I had my horse named Chip and as the trainer said, Chip was a one in a million horse and I must keep him. Let me tell you, he is a lover boy, he is my therapy. I have never ridden him because he was 3 years old when I got him and as I mentioned earlier, I was 60. For safety reasons, not a good combination. In the end, that was perfect because for the last 8 years I have developed such a beautiful bond with him. The bond with a horse is so much greater than other animals. The reason for that is the trust issue that is so valuable with a horse. I will sit out in the run-in at night singing to him and he loves my songs. My favorite evenings are the dead of winter when the ground is covered with snow or a beautiful summer night with my boy, Chip. My happy place. BTW, my favorite movie is Rear Window. My favorite TV show Heartland minus the school Drama. I love the relationship between Amy and the horses. I have watched this series over 20 times. Thank you for the opportunity to share my joy. I truly appreciate the time you give to your people, social media people, like me. You are a gift.
Happy birthday 🎉. I agree, you don't look 39. Thanks for another fun episode.
Happy Belated Birthday TayIer! 🍷🌺 I met my husband at my Mom's front door when I was about 14, he came for coffee with my Dad whom he worked with at the time. We got married 5 years and two boyfriends later, 2 weeks after I graduated from high school 40 years ago. I'm also a Boys Mom; I remember tell our first daughter in laws that "I finely have a daughter and I didn't have to go though potty training/terrible three's or the teenage headaches".
Happy, happy birthday! Love your channel. Thanks for everything you do for this community.
Thank you for sharing about yourself. You had me laughing at some of your answers. You are such an upbeat person. Happy Belated Birthday!
HaPpY BiRtHdAy Tayler!!! 🎉🎈🥳🎉🎈🥳🎉🎈🥳🎂 My husband and I love video games (he is 68 and I’m 60). He mostly plays and I knit or crochet and watch him. Our faves are PS4/5 Days Gone (lots of scenic Central Oregon) and The Last of Us 1 & 2. They are zombie apocalypse games but great storylines, especially The Last of Us. I love murder mystery’s (love Daphne du Maurier). I will have to look for your mentioned series! 🌸
OMG That's so romantic, I'm also 17 years in and found my love at work. Thanks for a lovely post!!!
Oh gosh we share a birthday 🥳 So funny how I followed you cause I like listening to you talk about my newfound love of knitting (I crocheted mostly) & bought a pattern you recommended. I also make felted animals so the yarnlove is also there 😁 Happy belated birthday!
Happy Birthday! I've got 30 years on you, but I really enjoy your podcast. I had to laugh (and cringe) at the bit about watercolor and painting. Art class was always my most feared subject in school. In 2nd grade an art homework assignment was to color in a picture of an Easter Egg. I was so terrified I told my mother I would have to drop out of school cause it was just way beyond my capabilities. It was the only time she ever did my homework for me! Math class, on the other hand, was a dream! It was so logical, no creative judgement required! Knitting is my only creative outlet. But, true to my nature, I follow patterns! Travel and foreign languages is my favorite non-knitting hobby. I lived in Beijing, China for 5 years. As a young girl I wanted to learn 30 languages by the time I was 50, Didn't make that, but clearly travel has always been one of my biggest loves. And knitting goes sooo well with travel! Thanks for a wonderful podcast!
Enjoyed getting to know you better on your birthday weekend. 39! Baby. I’ll be 67 in June. Enjoy your birthday month. Live it up and go wild.
I love how you met stories. Myself I took the reins also and made sure I was going up the school stairs when my future husband was going down the stairs. I made sure he noticed me! lol
Happy b-day!
I met my husband my first semester of college. Then I met him again 13y later. Then again 1y after that. Finally, we met for the final time 16y after the first time, and finally got together. Took a while! And it took us 3 months to finally put together the time line of our "relationship" and the fact we had all those friends and stories in common lol.
I turned 40 last year, so much better! All the Cranberries angst (90's teen yay us!) is gone, the kids sleep, the dogs not so much, and I have time to knit, and crochet, and paint, and watch RUclips videos.... life is good!
Counting Crows and The Cranberries?!! Yessss! We would’ve probably been friends LOL. Happy birthday!!
Good for you by seeing what you wanted and going for it! You got a good guy. Happy birthday!
That was lovely. Thanks so much for sharing! I love learning about the people I enjoy watching on here, and now I have book recommendations too! I hope you had a wonderful birthday!
When you were little you wanted to be a “cooker”. My little grandson, 7, wants to be a “cookin guy”. He’s so funny. He makes toast for the whole family on Sunday AM when we are zooming. He spreads the individual favorite of each person. So cute.
I LOVE this!! Good for him!! ❤️
Happy birthday, Tayler! I’m so glad you podcast. Every time you share about Henderson local places it makes me happy. My aunt lived there for many years and the venues are ways that I connect with her. Did I tell you ever that once when I went to visit her, I specifically shopped at TJMaxx in Henderson and bought tea there because you had been sharing about buying yours at that TJMaxx? I even took a photo. Boy, that either makes me sound like a total fangirl of yours (which I am) or a stalker (which I am not, I promise.)
39 is perfect! Plus 3 and 9 are my favorite numbers! Enjoy it all! 🎉❤
Thank you Jamie! ❤️
Happy Birthday Tayler. I was 39 when I had my 4th son. Started at 22 ended at 39. I absolutely love having all boys. Boys are the sweetest. Love them. My youngest is about to turn 18 and when I see little boys they melt my heart. Definitely bias to boy babies LOL.
Thank you for sharing your skin care routine!! I hope you had a fantastic time for your birthday!!! 🎉🎂🎉
Hello from Deep South Texas on the border. So lovely to get to know you better. Happy birthday and thanks for sharing.
First--Happy Birthday to YOU!!!! Wanted to tell you that I flew into LAS on my way to visit my Dad (in Lake Havasu) over Easter weekend. As I drove my rental car down the road I saw the Henderson exits. Ahhh, thought I, that's where Taylor lives. I immediately sent you good thoughts and my only regret was that you don't have a brick and mortar shop that I can go to and meet you in person. I love the podcast and all the transparency of your fiber adventures. All the best 🎂🎂🎂🎂
Yes! Good question ! Your videos are so professional and nice to watch !!! Thank you !! And think about opening up a LYS in Vegas !!!
Happy birthday 🎂🥳🎁🐑🇦🇺🧶💜from Western Australia 🇦🇺
So lovely to learn more about you. You do make very polished videos BTW! I met my husband on an 18-30 ski holiday in 1981. We have been married for 40 years this year and he is still the love of my life. So good to hear you are happy too!
Mr. Jones for the absolute win!!! Loved this episode!
Tyler and Tayler? okaaaay....
Happy Birthday! Love your podcast 💗
Good catch!!! Didn't even think about that 😂
Happy birthday…. My day of riding would be riding along the coast (probably Maine where I live) enjoying sun and sand on top of a beautiful Palomino.
Happy birthday!! I love that you're a "secret" gamer 😂 One of my favorite video games in recent years is Spiritfarer. It's a little more casual but with BEAUTIFUL animation and the story definitely has made me cry. Hope you had a great weekend!
Happy Birthday, Tayler!
My sisters birthday is also the 15th. Mine is the 24th. April babies are awesome. Happiest of birthday!
Happy Birthday! Thank you for sharing so much of yourself.
Thank you Gwen! It's my pleasure. Thank you for being here to listen. ❤️
I am a boy mom, too, and never wanted to deal with girls. Now I am almost 62 and I kind of wish for the relationship I have with my mom but I have been truly blessed with my male children.
I enjoyed the podcast. I bet your spirit animal is a horse! Maybe with wings! I love horses, too. They are magnificent. My sister has 5 horses and a sweet mule named Molly. I can go there and get my horse love.
I am working on a cardigan and a tee shirt. My first garments. I am hoping for success.
Thanks again!!!❤
I love, love, love your podcast. I grew up in Las Vegas and listening to you brings back so many memories. Way back in the day I even had a high school German teacher who I loved named Mr. Earl. He taught me so much and I even got to put that knowledge to use when I ended up living in Germany with my husband for 6 years when we were stationed in Stuttgart on one tour and at Kaiserslautern for another tour. So thank you for all the time and effort you put in to making such a beautiful podcast.
Excellent Q&A. I dislike poddies but trying to educate myself in knitting. But I look forward to ur poddies. From ur Q&E I gathered ur r very detail oriented which is like me. I don't know how u insert little vignettes from thousands of mediums but u have excellent memory. Enjoy it while u can. ☺️ Thanks for sharing.
Happy Belated Birthday! Love the grocery store "meet cute" story. ❤
Always LOVE LOVE LOVE. your episodes, thanks for sharing yourself ❤. Happy birthday and take good care (as you obviously do!)
Happy Birthday!! You dont look 39! I loved learning about you. The CeraVe I read is recommended by dermatologists. Nice learning about you.
Happy birthday! Me and boyfriend also met by working together! We worked at a fast food place together for about 6 months before we started dating. We've been together for over 2 years, and it warms my heart to hear your story and everyone in the comments talking about their significant others and how long they've been together. It's nice to know about what to look forward to in life :)
That’s a very cute story on meeting your husband❤. Hope you had a very happy birthday party 🥳
I also found and fell in love with watercolor and gouache last year! I'm finding it hard to keep up with it now as I'm head over heels in love with knitting right now. Oh well.
Happy birthday, Tayler! 🎉. I’m with you on the Mr. Jones. I wanted to be an astronaut when I was little. Nowadays, I’d knit all day if I could! The last movie I saw in the theater was Top Gun. In the evening I like to knit or play a game. Favorite book is Pride and Prejudice and favorite series is 44 Scotland Street. Tallest building would be the Empire State Building or the Eiffel Tower? What non-video games do you like to play? 😁
Loll… Counting Crows … the best karaoke surprise that was a hit at a dive bar in San Diego - “be our guest” from ‘Beauty and the Beast’ 😅
Ahhh! Love Red Dead! I'm a little surprised to hear you are a gamer too, but yay! It's so great to know more about you.
Omg the edited clips really got me this time! 🤣 Happy birthday! 🎂 I hope you had a lovely day.
That’s such a great story of how you met your husband. I’m a sucker for a good story. Thanks for sharing.
Happy Birthday! In addition to knitting and crocheting, I’ve been studying Vedic astrology. Your love of Horses is so cool. It aligns with your Vedic Astrology chart- Sun is in Ashwini which relates to the twin horses.
This is so fascinating! How cool. I've always had such an interest in astrology. ❤️✨
Happy Birthday 🎉❤ I started trying to teach myself to knit when my son was born…35 years ago! It wasn’t until I found a video by a lady doing the sheep in the field on the yolk sweater that was so popular using Continental style and it clicked!!! Enjoy your day and look forward to your next video!!❤
Thank you so much Jill! And thank you for sharing this bit about yourself as well. Falling into the world of knitting after your first is born is a special way to go about it, in my opinion. ❤️
Happy Birthday, Taylor🥂🎂
Thanks for sharing your personal side with us!
You’re a smart girl who knows how to get want she wants ❤️
Great episode! metric is the measure system you are looking for 😀. I met my husband on a flight from Montreal,QC, Can to London, England or "first date" was 8 hours long including the time at the customs... he sat beside me on the plane. Happy Belated Birthday! my birthday is April 18th.
Happy birthday! Horses are my favorite too! I got a new paint mare last fall. She's 4 years old next month, and she hasn't had any training yet except being somewhat halter broke. I'll be training her myself, and it's finally starting to warm up, and the snow is mostly gone now, so I'm looking forward to that soon!
I just wanted to say I love your podcast, I look forward to watching it, and it makes me smile! :)
Mr. Jones is hands down the one song I will NEVER forget the lyrics of and will sing it word for word whenever I hear it outloud like I'm performing it on stage🤣
PS Happy Birthday!
I have sang it at Karaoke before 😂
Happy, Happy Birthday! My husband’s birthday is also April 15th. Have a great birthday month!😊
That was wonderful and funny. One i am going to look up the yarn brands you would stock your store with. Two, had 3 boys and a girl, and that is all I am going to say about that, except I agree. You will never meet anyone more honest that a teenage daughter, especially when she is addressing you. Your love story was adorable. I am minimalist by nature but have to use up every bit of a skein of yarn. Constantly looking for stash busters that look planned out. Hopefully that makes sense.
Feliz cumpleaños, Tayler 🎂😄🥂🧶☕
Gracias Noelle! ❤️
Happy birthday! Your podcast is one of my faves, thanks for all you do! 😊
Thank you for watching Kim! ❤️
Happy birthday, Tayler! Mine's on the 18th....go Aries 🐏 Thanks for sharing the story about meeting Brandon....love it. And I'm going to go out this aft and look for some rosehip oil...thanks again for sharing! ❤
Hi Taylor! It was interestng to hear you answer these questions. Happy birthday! I've been watching your videos for 2 years now. I really love them and how you have get excited and inspired by different things at different seasons. Lots of greetings from Helsinki, Finland :)
Oh we miss raising canes so much! We don’t have them in Michigan but did in Ohio. Another gamer here too. Knitting is fabulous for those plot filled cut scenes! I also asked my husband out. I really loved learning more about you!
I love this! And when I’m playing I always have my knitting at my side for the cut scenes or lengthy fast travel transitions. ☺️❤️❤️❤️
Happy Birthday 🎉 Thank you for your content. You inspire me to work on my creativity and find happiness in my crafting. I love your story about Brandon.
I met my hub at whole foods2000(i worked there) and I asked him out too after a few talks(we went to the state fair)! married at 2007 til now!
A very happy belated birthday, I hope you had a wonderful day xx
I'm not video game aficionado, but I do love knitting while my husband plays them, especially if they have an engaging storyline! RDR2 was SO GOOD! I totally cried at the ending.
Oh this totally counts though. I LOVE knitting while my husband plays. And yes. RDR2 had me crying like a baby both times I played through. ❤️
So my husband and I talked about getting married 3 weeks in to us dating, and we decided if it kept going well, then, yes we would get married. He popped the question about 10 months in, and we got married a couple months later! We're about to have our first kid in a few weeks after being married for over 4 years, and we are so excited for this next stage in our life together!
Such a fun episode! I’m obsessed with your yellow sweater here 😍 Did I miss you telling us what pattern it is?
I love this! You are my favorite because you are direct.
Fun to watch as I knit, Thanks Taylor ❤ . I'm 33, a (mostly) functional adult, and also like video games. I find our generation struggles so much to admit that we like video games - my partner spent most of the first couple years of us dating trying to hide that he liked them 🙄haha. For me, they're a much more immersive and interesting form of entertainment than movies and TV - my biggest complaint is I've never found a way to knit and game. Witcher 3 is high on my list, and I love a good sandbox/adventure game. Plus there's some great co-ops we make some time for on the weekends (favourite there currently is Deep Rock Galactic).
Happy birthday Taylor
Happy birthday. I would like to tell you that you have a subscriber on Southern Spain that was over the moon when you said you have been in my country.
Happy birthday! Definitely pie over cake
As soon as you said that you like video games, I immediately thought I have to tell her about the book, "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, by Gabrielle Zevin. I think you really really really enjoy it. At least I hope you do. Now I'm off to check out S.J Parris. PS. I met my husband playing intramural volleyball in college in 1985. We got married in 1988 and are still very happily married. 🥰
Have a Happy Birthday, thx for the inspiration!
Thank you Patti! ❤️
Happy Birthday!!!!! Great video! love,hugs,prayers.
Happy Birthday Tayler! Every joy to you. Thank you for sharing your life so we may "know" you a bit better. You asked about who we are: I am an artist, painting pastoral scenes in watercolour or acrylic; I knit, crochet, cross stitch, sew, quilt...yeah, one of those! Sigh! However, if you were to see me at the end of a regulation size air hockey table, well, that's scary. I become the "other"... top lip curled in a sneer, gnashing teeth, even possibly red eyes like a demon (!!!), clutching a fistful of Loonies (Canadian $1 coins), ready to destroy any adversary in my path. How dramatic!!! My best friend, over 20 years ago now, was the only person EVER in my life to win a shut out at air hockey against me. He's been my "better half" ever since--I wasn't going to let a champ like that slip away!!! Thanks again for all of the fun in this community. Hugs from Canada.
I love this Lori. I think we would be FAST friends in real life. ❤️
