      Same. I can't shower in the AM because I let my curly hair air dry...i still haven't learned how to properly or correctly use a damn diffuser...anytime ive tried it just makes it more frizzy and I don't like the look of the curls and them being all tight and coiled. So, I've always showed at night and let dry as much as I can (with my products in of course) and then pineapple it, and sleep

      @@zadef2106 sorry but your Dr only told u half of the story.
      A sinussitis is caused by something like bacteria or a virus.
      That is because u get antibiotics when u have one.
      Freezing, sleeping in a cold area (and water makes it even colder (and therefor more damaging) can weaken your imunesystem so the body cant Protect itself from the bacteria or virus.
      In a cold windy or wet sorrounding can give u a hire chance but it doesnt cause sinussitis.
      But it can also help train your Immunsystem. I sleep alway naked, alway with Open windows, in the summer with a fan and 90% of the time i shower right before going to bed.
      And my Immunsystem is really really good.

    Tying wet hair in a scarf and not allowing them to dry or breathe while they're wet may cause a fungal scalp infection...and im saying this out of experience it happened to me a few years back when i would wrap my wet hair in a scarf and go to bed!

    The only thing I don’t like about enclosing wet hair in a cap-type contraption like this is that your hair and scalp don’t really get good air flow☹️
    It’s a bit like leaving your foot in a wet sock.
    In a boot.
    _For eight hours._
    🤭
    I think it works in a pinch, but if at all possible, this method should be avoided and instead maybe opt for a netted cap and sleep on a satin pillowcase to allow for adequate airflow🌬

    My hair is similar to yours; at one point I was washing with conditioner only, and at night...not putting any after product in it so it would start to dry right away. Then I'd stay up just for a bit before going to bed to give it time to dry at least halfway. In the morning it would be dry and crying for some treatment so...I'd mix a good gel with lotion (yup, any old hand lotion works like a pomade...and smells lovely!) And distribute it on my hair. That would perk the curls up pretty darn well. But...gotta try it again when my hair is LONG. Sniff sniff😭...dont ever cut your hair ladies. Just use a scarf or something to put it up...you'll be grateful for the versatility. 🐩👍🙆‍♀️

    You mentioned about your bangs giving you little trouble. I hear that a lot with curly hair and bangs. Are you going to grow yours out? Do you regret cutting them?

      Somerainmustfall I want bangs so bad but my hair is thin and curly (3a) and it makes me sad bc I don’t think it would work if I got them lol

    Weird question, but does your head get itchy when you sleep with it wet? My head gets so itchy if I sleep with even just damp hair.

      You might have bacteria who like the wet environment. A bit of tea tree oil might help improve the health of your scalp.

    I do the India Batson version where I just do a loose messy bun and sleep on it. More comfortable for me personally and same results. It’s my normal styling routine actually. My hair is still damp in the morning but I just add some mousse and depending on if I’m getting ready for work or not depends on diffusing the ends. Plus the bun technique gives root lift for me.

    Woah ! extremely impressed, nicely done however ( satin is essentially a man made product ) where ( silk is produced by the silk worm ) ... I prefer to use a 100% silk scarf to wrap my curls, yes a bit more pricey but worth it ... Loved your video, hugs from New York !

    So after applying the in- shower styler, I’m assuming you did your clumping and scrunching techniques? If so, did you add additional product during this process before putting your hair up into the shirt? Also - my hair just won’t stay clumped when using any kind of air drying technique including this one :/.. any tips? Thanks!

      If it works for u no harm no foul! I personally have scalp issues from when I use to sleep on wet hair. So if it works for u that’s awesome but it might not work for some other people. I just want to make sure that they know about the other side!

      It sounds like you have sebhorreic dermatitis which is not CAUSED by this, but rather it is irriated by it.

    • @hyldaco
      @hyldaco 5 лет назад +6

      Lithostoic Not necessarily. Seborrheic dermatitis will absolutely be irritated by this, but people without SD can also have issues from keeping their scalps wet for extended periods of time.

    When I use this method my hair kinda end up in like huge sections, you know what I mean? And when I try to separate the curls I just ruin them, any suggestions?

    • @ashleyhumann8094
      @ashleyhumann8094 5 лет назад +3

      I try to form sections in the shower after I detangle then I scrunch which also helps with the sections. Also may be you should re-wet your hair and scrunch after you separate your curls. Hope this works!

      Welp, thanks but I’m trying to recover from the damage I made from literally ripping our knots in my hair ( with brush and without ) but it has gotten better and doing this routine has helped a lot. I don’t know how healthy your curls are, but I hope this works for you!

      Have you tried using a product like an oil or pomade when separating your curls? You can separate them by shaking, gently pulling them apart or scrunching!
