Great upload. Dylan's career often suffered from the lack of a good producer, and Jerry Wexler was one of the best producers ever. Slow Train Coming is produced so well, one of Dylan's best albums as far as production is concerned. The sound, the playing is so tight, and it has some wonderful songs. I hope those songs are appreciated by Christians and Gospel musicians - just like Georgia Tom Dorsey's Gospel songs in the past - and that they will become Gospel standards. Thanks for posting this

Respectfully, so much New York Jewish Talent like Jerry brought us so much.

Gentle spirit. You can understand how he produced such a succinct album, one of Dylan's finest.

Back in the 1970's I fell in love with a beautiful woman to Slow Train Coming. 'Precious Angel' was the song.
I've never listened to lyrics.... I just loved the music! I still love the music of Slow Train Coming but now, because I understand the true meaning of it. Dylan's heart and soul are spiritual, and he reveals himself with his beautiful lyrics.

The irony in that short exchange they had about the New Testament is that Jerry said he was "more into that earlier one - King George one" - of which there is no such thing. If he meant King James he was clearly unfamiliar enough with the Bible not to realize the "Old Testament" is what he was no doubt referring to. No disrespect to this obviously nice and very talented man. I say this because this is the condition of the world. Ignorance in what they discard/disregard before they even read it. Its too bad.

Great interview! Fun to get some detailed insight into how Dylan made some of his music from a producer's viewpoint, especially one as expert and articulate as Jerry. Thanks for the upload!
