This is all well and good I guess, but when will you rank all of the Tera-hats aesthetically?

I get what it's meant to be but i still hate it, looks like a flimsy keychain

i get they're not actually balloons but they just look so stiff, they should've just made em wings
16. Rock
I like the design of the hat it just looks kinda awkward on a Pokemon

its still good but not for terastalizing

What dark and steel types do to mf
Psychic only was good for his weakness not having good moves and one being bugged, having good moves which was rare and good Pokemon none of that is a strength of the type itself.
@@letmecommentstupidyoutube1338 that ghost type glitch doesn't matter cause there were practically no ghost type moves in gen 1.
Also psychic type has great strength in gen 1 on its own,it's resisting other psychics, and having spammable STAB.

I'm surprised I didn't hear more about the unique technical resistances each type grants, like Ghost-Tera being immune to Fake-Out or Fire-Tera being immune to Burn.
I won't lie, with abilities like Corrosion existing I'd love to see other abilities that work like it but for different statuses. Burning a fire type, paralyzing a electric type without body slam or something like that... Just think of the possibility.
@@ValunarTonix Electric Pokémon have been fully immune to paralysis since gen 6, so it would need an ability to work.
@@ValunarTonix Would prefer if that didnt happen. Otherwise a lot of types lose their unique advantages.
I imagine because those things probably didn't make a huge difference when trying to determine the overall best tera type for each Pokemon. They are things to consider when team building but Wolfe's philosophy seems to be that tera is best used to boost your bulk or coverage
@@Kvh47if it was on like one or two Pokémon, that would be pretty neat without breaking the meta
Fire being immume to Burn and Grass being immume to spore/rage powder is also a huge reason why the elemental tpyes are so good to tera into

There are additional benefits missed in the video for certain types. Fire is immune to burn which can benefit physically offensive pokemon. Grass is immune to powder moves to avoid sleep and rage powder. Etc.
Agreed, I think those two you mentioned are critical, especially Fire. Will o Wisp is so ubiquitous that a physical attacker being immune to burn is terrifying
All right, because based on the description he gave, it just sounded like the regular type matchups with extra steps. I guess ranking them based on their additional bonuses is what he's doing.
idk how prominent poison will be since toxic has been mostly removed and toxic spikes are more common, but poison definitely would have been a much better defensive tera type due to toxic immunity in past gens
@@recreationtime toxic is still in the game
@King Hershey The Second yeah but 90% of pokemon don't have access to it anymore
What’s really fascinating about this gimmick to me, is that it seems really strategically rich- for instance, you have the list of the best terra types, but those aren’t something you absolutely need to live by. I can imagine several layers of strategy, where people choose unorthodox Tera types because they’re planning around the ‘optimal’ Tera types. There’s also the versatility of when to use it- to go early to allow for safe setup, or to wait until a pivotal moment to swing the odds back in your favor. It all seems really fun and unique.
Tbh what I find really interesting about it is that Gamefreak actually managed to nail one of these gimmick-mechanics. Every other gimmick they’ve tried introducing seems to have had a negative effect on competitive in some way (while also being pointless in singleplayer, except Dynamax which was so OP as to be required in singleplayer :y ), but this actually provides an extra layer of depth without going overboard.
Like, even in the main story, where I was consistently overleveled and Terastalizing didn’t matter much, I was still going out of my way to get shards because changing my team’s Tera types was a really appealing idea. Changing Armarouge to Fighting to give it resistance to Dark, for instance, and powering up Aura Sphere. Granted, that’s probably not super optimal, but I gave it some thought and made the decision myself based on proper strategizing and theory-crafting, which is something I never really felt about Mega Evos or Dynamaxing.
@@SkyBlueFox1 1) Dynamax was never mandatory except on multiplayer.
2) Terastylize has less strategic layers than Dynamax simply because of secondary effects from Max moves.
3) NO ONE is going out their way to change their tera types while doing the story except recatching. It takes 50 fucking shards to do so. So all Terastylize turns out to be is just Adaptability while playing through the game. Thats why you feel like you dont need it.
Please dont spread misinformation.
I really wish it was cheaper to change the type with shards
When you counter the counter to the counter of the counter meta pick (you chose tera fire to counter their tera ice that would counter your tera flying that could counter the meta tera grass skeledirge)
@@JayceCH. you seem to have missunderstood a few things, lemme help ya:
1) person was not making a litteral claim about it being impossible to beat without, rather that it'd be much harder. This ought to be understood through context
2) saying "terra types provide an extra layer of depth without going overboard" is not at all the same thing as saying "terra types add more gameplay depth than all previous generational gimmics, including dynamax", in fact it implies quite the opposite, that terra types provide less depth than certain previous gimmics, thus hitting some kind of sweet spot.
3) the person who posted originally was refering to their own, personal experience of the game, which will obviously differ from the experience others have with it. You cannot respond to someone saying "i did X thing" with "nobody ever does X thing".
Tera Flying actually has many more benefits:
Lots of things are 4x weak to Ground or Fighting. Flying can resist Fighting and is immune to Ground, making for a low-weakness Pokémon that can dish out big damage.
2. A lot of Electric types have Volt Absorb. If you have Tera Flying on one of them, you get a Pokémon with only two weaknesses, two immunities and great coverage.
It's also one of only 7 types that has no way of mitigating it through immunity or absorbtion (including, surprisingly, bug). That's part of the reason why it was so devastating in Dynamax: you always got the speed boost unless they Max Guarded (steel enjoyed the same benefit).
@@TheNewRobotMaster I know right? Jointly, it is also resisted by the fewest things , without being totally walled. Only 3 things resist it, and while some like Ghost and Dragon are only resisted by 2, one of them completely walls it.
If you switch out and back in you don't hit entry hazards right?
@@pug8714 Exactly. Flying types are unaffected by all entry hazards and terrains, except Stealth Rocks.
Kilowattrel can use tera flying with volt absorb to give it 2x stab on it while still having volt absorb
There's an interesting interaction with Pawmot and Tera Electric: If Pawmot Teras into Electric, it can spam Double Shock without losing its electric typing. Paired with Pawmot's solid attack and speed stats, you can deal a ton of damage to opposing pokemon, and if you pair THAT with redirection, you've got a sweeper goin'
Wolfey: **puts psychic, poison, normal, and fairy in the bottom five**
Also Wolfey: **used those four types in the tournament**
Keep in mind that this was based on how often among the 400 (or however many Pokemon are legal and viable, which Tera probably widens more than most are thinking) a given Tera Type appeared as their "best" in Wolfey's, and possibly his team's, opinion. Make a list for only the "best" Pokemon in competitive play and you'll likely get something very different.
Never mind that this Mechanic especially has a lot of potential for an ever evolving meta game as Pokemon drift in and out based on how well they counter or are countered by specific Mon and Tera combinations. Who knows. Hydreigon might best use Steel right now, but a Fire Lycanroc (random example) might emerge as a counter versus the over abundance of Tera Steel in general. Which is then countered by a Tera Ground Whiscash that wasn't really viable before due to Earthquake missing that levitating annoyance and Grass being common in general (100% Crit Meowscarada signature move) before being pushed out by the new Fire threats.
Point is: This list is not representative of the current or future meta of competitive play. Just an exercise in statistical analysis.
@@nestrior7733 I know. I’m just making a joke.
I thought I was the only one who notice
1) since these types are consider worse type, it is good to use type that ppl rarely use to let opponent to make assumption on the terratype but ended up using another terra type
2) this video did not include unique move or improveing move pool as each pokemon have its nitch from their ability and move pool
Grass tera type also gives immunity to spore and rage powder! So it can be situationally useful against Amoongus or Breloom
with tera fairy and tera poison being bottom 5 this aged pretty bad
This is what I was thinking. Definitely weighted the offensive matchups for tera types too heavily in this video
The moment I see more Steel Tera Types in the game, I’ll know who’s responsible.
But I can’t wait to eventually see the best Tera Types for each Pokemon!
best tera type is electro if its on shedninja and this shedninja has ballon as item
@@Engifarting456 which is a good thing it doesn't exist in scarlet and violet
Piss.
I can't wait. Most of the best mons in this meta have access to good fighting moves. When I see tera steel, I know I'm probably going to win the match
honestly, sweeping teams w/ steel tera ddance RM has been so fun (in singles anything goes, not ladder)
LETS GOOOOO! This guy hasn’t stopped pumping out content. Thank you Wolfey!
I still enjoy his content a lot and Wolfey's work ethic is admirable but I feel like the quantity lately has resulted in an unusually high amount of flaws in the recent videos. The games are very fresh and some mistakes are bound to happen but it's been more noticeable if you ask me.
I know that Wolf focuses on doubles, but for any singles players out there, Poison is actually a pretty reasonable tera type, if a bit limited in its niche. It's mostly used for defensive mons, but you can see it on rare occasions for other roles.
It's particularly good on Garganacl, regenerator Klawf, and regenerator Slowbro, but you can also feasibly use it in more niche roles with Goodra, offensive Glimmora, and NP+Salac+Belch Hydreigon.
Woah that hydreigon set sounds super fun
@@ryanmahon2956 i almost always use choice scarf on hydreigon but it would be interesting to try. I wish they gave him sludge bomb tho
Cool. Go spread this on a singles channel.
I'm getting a bit tired of people treating double battles and VGC as one unit. I'm sure Tera is also done differently in DOU.
Honestly i prefer Tera Fairy for Slowbro, but Poison Tera doesnt sounds bad.
I fkin loved the choice of background themes matching the signature trainers that specialize in each type. ( Kanto's elite four-Bruno for ground, Sinnoh's elite four Flint for fire, etc.). Well done Wolf.
this has not aged well
yea it’s almost like a ranking in a vacuum like without the established meta we have now
Lurantis doesnt learn Superpower in Gen 9... sadge...
Seeing how Tera Types have massively differing viability based on if they’re in doubles or singles is really interesting. Seeing ghost and dark not dominate VGC while they run rampant in singles hyper offence especially. I also recommend watching Blunder’s tierlist on Tera Types alongside this one to make comparisons between the 2 metas.
Tera rock frosmoth is actually insane, turning two 4x weaknesses into resistances
Since when does rock resist rock?
@@druen2099 it doesn't lol. unfortunately there is no type that resists both fire and rock. wolfey says the best tera type for frosmoth is water, since you resist the 4x fire weakness and shed the 4x rock weakness, and water is a better defensive type than rock outside of that. You could maybe argue that tera blast gives you better offensive coverage with rock compared to water, but frosmoth would probably rather stay alive longer to get up quiver dance and doesn't have much room for coverage moves anyway
@@patrickchickey6428 what about electric though? That has 1 weakness, resists flying and steel which is a problem for it so it has defensive utility for it, is neutral to the others, and ice/electric is fantastic coverage. and ofc after 1 quiver you probably can just ice beam any stupid ground type thinking it's able to hit your only weakness while also ending water types who absolutely hard wall this thing otherwise
Great, now let's look at frosmoth's stats
@@RockHoward256 i mean... with a good quiver dance it can kill most ground types. ground mons aren't all that fast for the most part that they'd outspeed +1. ground is great too though i think. ground and electric are both really great i think for it.
This is why I'm glad that VGC 2023 announced an open team list. You'd never be able to possibly prepare for all the tera types. Surprise is a fun way to play, but it isn't the best way to WIN. This is still a strategy based game remember. I think Mega Evolution really kinda soured things a bit, ensuring that it was all about power vs strategy. But now thanks to Gen 8 and Gen 9, strategy has made a full comeback to VGC. And I've never been more excited to play.
what part of dmax is strat vs power. imo even dmax was not the best
Does this entail just Pokémon and Tera types? Or does it mean everything; items, abilities, movesets, etc.?
@@aatishkarthik5645 Dynamax was incredibly flexible therefore gave a lot of skill expression around who to dynamax and when the right time was. The man we're watching made a whole video talking about how great it was for competitive.
@@aatishkarthik5645 For doubles it was. I can see why a singles player might hate it. But VGC is doubles remember. GMax was strat based because you needed to account for which pokemon might go for it, when they might go for it. DMax or GMax too soon, and you're playing into their hands, leaving yourself open, and mostly praying you can survive. Do it too late, and it's the same boat.
Whereas with Mega Evolution was just a mess. Already OP Pokemon gained EVEN MORE power, and team pools became extremely narrow. There weren't enough viable pokemon to be varied. Every team was the same. Which doesn't make competitive very fun.
Wait does that mean your tera types are revealed? I think thats honestly worse for strategy. Its like showing your moves in team preview. Who ever said surprise isn't strategy, not knowing what your opponent may do and predicting it appropriately is the pinnacle of strategy. Knowing all of your opponents terra-types beforehand kills a lot of that. It takes out a lot of surprise factor and prediction and makes it more about brute forcing your way through.
(Edit: I just found out this also includes moves, abilities, and items being shown before the battle. Holy crap tournament play sounds so unfun to me. Knowing the exact set your opponents are running feels so absurdly wrong. I feel like you should be rewarded for being intelligent and experienced enough to know the possible sets your opponent has.)
Amazing Wolfey, thank you!!! I've been watching you a long time, just got back into pokemon since UsUm. Bought violet and then went on a spree and got archeus, sheild and even sword. You've been a huge help getting back into it❤❤
Would love to see an update to this video, as it seems like metagame shifts have proven some Teras surprisingly valuable.
The appreciation that Wolfey has for the Koga E4 theme from Pokémon Masters always warms my heart
There were a lot of Pokemon Masters tracks in this video! I always get hyped hearing those renditions
I used a Torkoal in my playthrough of the game and it is so fun to use with Tera Fire. Maxing out Eruption's power to 675 is absolutely insane.
chrissake, talk about overkill
I don't see how it would be that high since multipliers are always on the original base number.
@@NotGord Still, Stab + Tera + Sun + Charcoal + Eruption is broken
Wait till Heatran gets added.
Already loved watching Shedinja sweep with Tera-Electric and an Air Balloon.
lord zygrade can kill him
Shedinja will never make it into the game because of this, or at least will not be legal
I think if shedninja gets added it just wouldn’t be able to Tera kinda like how dynamax didn’t double its health
Ya, snow no longer hurts, only treat is sandstorm, and status effect, but also depends on shedinja terra type
@@ryono2759 Imagine if pokemon can have two abilites at the same time with Shedninja having pure as gold to be immune to status and tera into rock to not be damaged from sand.
after playing with it I think Tera might be my favorite gimmic. It can be either offensive or defensive, very versatile for all mons and doesnt have them wasting time on models that wont be used after this gen.
I cant wait to use an ice type regileki, legit something ive been hyped about for all of SV
I'm glad Wolfe has said that Grass isn't as bad as people say. Seeing people put it next to Bug and Rock is crazy.

Wolfey: dark type can be used to deal EVEN more damage than usual!
The move: *does fixed damage and has no boost*
Tera Bug Ceruledge is actually pretty good cause it’s flash fire keeps it immune to fire and becoming resistant to ground on that kind of mon is sick
Fairy Ceruledge is also pretty nasty. Bitter Blade and Psycho Cut take care of the Fairy weaknesses pretty easily, and it gives resistance to Dark.
Great wideo as always!
Just wanted to say that sadly Lurantis can't learn Superpower in this gen, at least for now, because there's no TM for it... I sure hope GF give it back in a dlc
annoying that gamefreak doesn’t just give it to lurantis in its moveset when they gave enamorous superpower in her moveset, smh
Tera Flying is great for hazard setters like Glimmora since it basically gives them an extra turn to set up.
Granted this means giving up your tera for just setting entry hazards, but the more hits required to take out a glimmora, the more hazards on your opponent's side of the field. And most people don't open with their hazard cleaner. For some reason. Even though Glimmora can learn a hazard cleaning move...
The Wolfey "Oven-Mitts Hydreigon" got a good chuckle out of me, thank you sir!

Thanks for putting out so much good content for competitive Pokemon and for always using Pokemon Conquest's banger OST
Also you can tera ice in snow on a non-ice type (mudsdale, garganacl, etc) to get a defense boost. Really nice for Body Press setup sweepers
Tera steel has so many good options it's probably faster to list the Pokemon that WOULDN'T want it
Will you release a different video covering all Pokémon and their best Tera types?
great way to start the day, thanks Wolfey
WAIT YOU MAINTAIN YOUR ORIGINAL STAB
honestly surprised wolfe didn't mention the powder immune for grass since spore sleep powder and rage powder which is very common in almost every meta
The editing in this is lovely
My current favorite Tera Type combo for casual play is my Garganacl with Ghost Tera Type. Gets rid of it's fighting weakness completely, first of all. Second, my Garganacl had curse, so with it's bulk and HP it can fire off a curse a live, then hit a salt Cure. It's the bane of any water and steel pokemon
On top of that, Purifying Salts will also make it take half damage from Ghost-type moves, effectively removing its weakness to Ghost, making it only weak to Dark. So yeah, that's pretty good. ^_^
this list needs an update 😭
Bug type Ceruledge is fire. I bug typed my Ceruledge in front of a Torkoal who went for Earth Power. Its pretty great because your only weakness becomes Flying and Rock (Rock which is shared with Ceruledge).
I'd love to see the full list of each Pokémon's best Tera type c:
If you join the channel on RUclips or subscribe to his Twitch, you can get access to his Discord where there's a posted list of all the best tera types for each Pokémon! I think he's also mentioned maybe making a video on those in the future, but we'll have to wait and see
I've used tera dark on a lot of things specifically to fuck over espathra stored power sets, i feel like the "best" tera types arent that set in stone (apart from maybe grass dondozo)
Thr beauty of terra, you can tune ur terra to really take advantage of specific match up that may have messed up your team otherwise
Glad to see my two favorite types, Electric and Fire, so high up. Keep up the good work Wolfe!
The effort Wolfe puts into this channel is insane, awesome video as always!
The first thing I checked this morning on my map in Violet was if there was a Glowing Steel Symbol, I wanted a Tera Steel Mence and since it's World Champion approved it means apparently I was right
One question, is this list based around doubles? It would be interesting to see if things change taking into consideration that singles plays differently to doubles. Ex. I think ghost should be higher because of its ability to avoid rapid spin in singles.
Wolfey is a VGC player, so pretty much all of his vids center around the format. He doesn’t have as much experience in singles or even 6v6 doubles.
Ice types are my favourite aesthetically and I’m happy they are not one of the worst for the first time in history
I’d love to see that spreadsheet with the best Tera type for every Pokémon 👀
So some types have passives that affect them
People have mentioned a bunch of them but let me collectively mention all of them
Fire: Imume to Burn Status Effect, (Extra note in Sun also good for grasstypes that have Harvest/Leaf Guard but usually get 1 shot by any fire move during sun)
Grass: Imume to all powder moves and Leech Seed
Poison: Imume to the Poison Status effect unless Corosion
Electric: Imume to the Paralize status effect, (Also Earth Eater makes them imume to ground type attacks not just levitate)
Steel: Imume to the Poison status effect unless Corosion, Also weak now to the salt DoT
Water: Weak now to the Salt DoT
Rock: 50% more spD in Sandstorm
Ice: 50% more Def in Snowstorm, Imume to the Freeze Status effect, Now capable of using Sheer cold for the full 30%
Dark: Imume to Prankster (as mentioned by wolfey)
Ghost: Imume to trapping moves/abilities (So mean look or arena trap etc.)
I think i got them all if i missed anything specific let me know ill edit the list!
While I'm happy for all this content, please don't wear yourself out.
Also excited for the best terra for every pokemon video.
Been waiting for this don’t wanna waste those shards
Be mindful that a top tier Tera might not be the best type for every mon.
I am surprised you didn't mention Tera Fire's value on physical attackers, making them immune to Burns.
Oh, I see Steel keeps getting Ws left and right, love to see it! It has always been my favorite type ever since it was introduced and way before I knew how good it actually is
I STILL NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHY FAIRY RESISTS BUG. like fairy isnt super effective against bug neither does it logically make sense that a fairy would resist bug if anything it makes sense that it would be WEAK to bug. bug being the worst type AND with all of the ice type buffs this gen, they coulda buffed it by making it at least hit fairy types for neutral. the best type resisting the worst type is just so lame in game balance like have at least something thats going for bug types 💀
Thanks for the great video to Wolfey and the rest of the team!! I've been enjoying learning about competitive Pokemon from this channel, and all the new Scarlet and Violet videos are fantastic! I hope you reach 1 million subs soon :D
Note that Tera fire is particularly spicy now since Tera steel is so common.
If fairy and steel ARNT the 1 and 2 I will be surprised

You were half right.
i’ve always enjoyed your informative videos, but after watching your scarlet playthrough, i can also appreciate the personality behind the information! :)
I’ve been waiting for this exact video since the game came out. You’re the man. This is perfect!
Wideo babyyy
That poison type one aged poorly
Great video man I've been waiting for this! I did want to ask if you ever will be showing the full list of tera types you recommend for each pokemon in a future video as well. I assume it might be pretty obvious as to what pokemon should get what type since you've already done explaining, but maybe a look at each pokemon would be a good idea for a separate video.
Thank you SO much for this. It's a really well thought out video, and I'm looking forward to seeing a list where I can look up my favorite Pokemon and then search for one with a good tera type match. This also helps slot into place for a more casual player what role Terastallizing can play, so I can make better use of it!
16:21 Why the fuck does your Skeledirge have flamethrower instead of Torch Song?
I'm not sure it makes sense to rate tera type effectiveness in a vacuum. The meta right now is dominated by fighting, steel, ghost, and dark type moves. The best thing to tera into defensively is going to be the type your opponent can't deal with, not the type that covers your mon's typical weaknesses. Poison tera is great for mons like Amoongus and Toedscruel. I love going up against people who tera Steel because half my party hits them for super effective. If you put Steel tera on a Gholdengo, for instance, you're doing something wrong. Also, Ghost tera has won me more matchups than anything else has so far.
Oh man, I've been waiting for this video. Early Wolf gang! Thank you and your team for the awesome content you've been pumping out!
This content we have had for the last number of months has been top tier! I have been a longtime Wolfey wideo viewer and he has come so far since first starting to watch a number of years ago!
The PMEX background music choices for the types are just amazing, hats off mr. Wolfe
How is this video so polished!!! Holy crap dude you're really bringing the heat these days, this video is funny and succinct, the editing is great, the script is smooth and cohesive, dude!! Way to go, this is some seriously top-tier content 👏🏼
Great video! Really surprising list but what do you expect; it's Wolfey. I really like terrastializing just as the primary type of the pokemon a lot of the time for the offensive bonuses, but the defensive perks of an unexpected terastializaiton are compelling.
Also just wanna mention "resistances" is spelled as "resistences" a couple times in the video
The second this gimmick was revealed my brain went right to your type ranking video when you mentioned that Frosmoth’s ability was op but it’s on an Ice/Bug type Mon so it doesn’t matter. I immediately thought about Tera Dragon Frosmoth and now I got myself one and I love her :D
youve been so consistent wolfey, good shit
#33 on trending for gaming as I'm watching. Really proud of how far you've come Wolfe, been watching for several generations and it's been awesome watching you blow up the past couple years!
Gotta love the Psychic Battle theme from Pokemon Conquest when you started talking about the psychic type! That game is amazing with a hell of a soundtrack to boot!
This really opened my brain up to other considerations for Tera Typing. Thanks, Wolfey.
This aged pretty badly, i would love to see a redo/update of this video:
- Poison landed as second worse but it's one the most used defensive types.
- Fairy landed extremely low and it's perhaps the most used actually both ofensive (Flutter mane) and defensive (Heatran, ting lu, to name a few)
- Normal landed in C tier and it's awesome to boost moves like E-Speed (Dragonite, Entei, Arcanine) and Hyper voice (Ursaluna Blood moon).
- Flying also landed pretty low as a lot of pokemon which dont get good flying stab can use tera blast, also, some non flying like roaring moon
Water a Steel at the top were spot on though
Yeah, I think he overestimated how common Tera Blast would be, since it's mostly used defensively or to boost a pkm that already gets STAB on that type.
However also keep in mind that some Tera-Type may be actually good on many pkm but if none of them are competitive then it doesnt matter.
I think a tera type like normal is extremely hard to rank because it's basically only good for 2 Pokemons, but those 2 Pokemon are pretty common and will always run these. If those mons weren't in the meta then tera normal would disappear completely, so is the tera type overall that good then?
And don't forget, Stellar in D tier.
Pleaseee share the list of the best Tera type for every mon 🙏🏼 love this vid, thanks for all the work you put in!
great and informative video, really looking forward to future projects. one thing i think could be improved to make it easier to follow such rankings, could be a clear cut when a new thing is talked abt. so its easier to think with ur explanations and not get confused.
loved it otherwise!
Commenting for the algorithm. Hope you get 1mil soon Wolfe, love the content!
Well, Wolfey, you made me do it. You and your videos made me get Pokemon Violet.
I've been playing Monster Hunter: Rise Sunbreak, but it'll be around a month before the next update and I'm running out of stuff to do in that game, so I need something else to play. I've only played up to Gen 5 until now, so I'm kind of excited to see how things have changed, especially with the removal of random encounters.
Using Illusio kingdom's music, from Pokémon Conquest for Psychic type, one of my favorite , you made my Day Wolfey
Hey I was just thinking about how cool and interesting it would be for you to do a video about getting Pokémon into competitive shape. Like ev training, hyper training, raid farming etc, it would be an interesting look behind the curtain :)
Loving all the content recently!
Quick question: where does Wolfey get the type match up charts from, or did he/his team make them for these videos?
You’re doing an awesome job with the content for this game Wolf!
I know you will make it to 1,000,000 subs dude. Your content is so awesome! Keep up the good work!!!
Oh, awesome! I just finished work after listening to your videos all day, and I get a new one! ^^ Today is a good day.
Great video; I'm so excited to try out different tera types in VGC! One thing to note, I'm pretty sure they took Superpower away from Lurantis this gen =(
I love using Tera Fire on Frosmoth, at least in smogon singles. Snow-buffed Frosmoth with Ice Scales is hard to ohko, and against Chi-Yu, Torkoal, Gholdengo and other special attackers, going for a well-timed Terastalize lets you Quiver Dance for free while also getting Tera Blast Fire to deal with Steel types.
Really fascinating, as always, to see how this changes in singles, where toxic spikes alone give tera poison a reason to be clicked, alongside the bevy of great poison types like Iron Moth and Glimmora. Same deal with Fairy and Flying and the other defense-oriented types since SIngles matches are less aggressive
So glad I'm already subscribed. Larry definitely deserves a vacation.
I love watching Wolfe and also Joey+Blunder. It's so cool to see top tier players of entirely different meta games analyze these mechanics and point out why things are good/bad for their respective metagame.
As Im committed to commenting to help my favourite creators with the algorythm, here you go Wolf! always appreciate your insight.
Great vid to watch coming home from school
