Wrong it’s Tera water incinaroar!
I'm surprised Dracovish isn't somewhere on this list. It seemed like he was Wolfey's favorite menace in Sword and Shield. Mr Fish may not be in SV right now, but he should at least be an honorable mention. Milotic also seems like it's always a popular and useful mon in lower powered formats.
@solitare4602 Dracovish wasn’t a threat on the competitive scene really. In the one world championship it was legal in, it didn’t even finish in the top 100. Hell I’m not even sure if anyone used it

@@owenblount7334 that doesn't matter a lot. the only poison type that has consistently been relevant throughout the years is amoonguss which uses poison moves pretty rarely and even if he runs one then it's not that strong, and the only other relevant poison type right now is glimmora at 10% usage. also, the only other poison types that have ever been somewhat relevant were venusaur, mega gengar and maybe nihilego.

I'm just waiting for the Bug type edition where he talks about how Charjabug is more competitively viable than Spidops until Volcarona eventually wins
Was hoping to see Blastoise mentioned based on the thumbnail, but I agree it isn't close to the best. It needs a good ability like charizard and venusaur, preferably something that synergizes with shell smash. I fully agree with your take on tapu fini, it is the answer to so many threats, really a swiss army knife pokemon. Also great in singles with taunt-calm mind-whirlpool-draining kiss.
But the thumbnail is Gyarados and Palkia…
@@Begeru it changed!
Blastoise should get a new hidden ability move that boost low accuracy moves by 20 hit points like 70 chanse to hit now are 90 chance to hit or 80-100 or 90-110 and also it should boost low accuracy water type move damage by 10-20 hit points, only then can Blastoise have a chanse to be more competitive, plus it would be good for Blastoise if it can run safe hydro pumps.

Groudon is going to wish it had its primal form.Koridon and Miridon might resist Kyogre’s water attacks, but it can learn Ice Beam and lets not forget that there’s a certain fluttering fairy ghost that would happily take care of SV’s box art legendaries for them.
@@snapclub8751I also think that Miraidon is just as much partner to Kyogre as it counters it. Mainly that it's terrain doesn't clash with with rain and both pokemons liking to use Thunder. Not to mention Koraidon Resisting both Electric and Grass attacks that threaten Kyogre an Kyogre resisting Ice attacks as well as threatening ground attackers.
@@hamdepaf6686 Especially if Miraidon terras into a grass type to defend against ground but now also takes neutral to fire due to rain
@@PKshockwave I think Kyogre is a good Grass/Steel Terra itself.
I don't think Miraidon gains that much with a Grass Tera, especially cause it is still weak to Ice, I think a bug Tera might actually be the way if you want to make use of the rain.

I actually got super happy to see gastrodon mentioned in this video as he is my all time favourite pokemon but because I never played competitive I didn't actually know how strong he would be considered, I'm glad to see my best boy can take the spot of one of the best ones :)
I cannot do anything but wonder if you have a team of 3 video editors or just one legend. Man this video is so well edited. Great job
Video idea: Pokémon that should have their abilities changed to those which suit them better design wise and will also make them better in battle.
Current example: Empoleon getting Competitive
Potential candidate: Flygon getting tinted lens, Kingler getting tough claws, etc.
Meganium DESPERATELY needs a new ability. Give it triage or something.
Hack mons r a wonderful thing especially when u play with folks who want to do just this game freak has made sloppy metas in gen 8-9 also replace useless ability’s on say furret runaway can just be fur coat
Kingler's sheer force is already really strong no need for change

“Competitive Pokémon is entirely double battles”
I knew who it was going to be right from the start. But if we are talking about favorite water-type Pokémon, I’ve gotta go with Froakie, Wartortle, or Araquanid
Wartortle is goated
Palafin, Feraligatr & Basculegion r my favorites out of the oceans of Water-type Pkmn.

This is honestly the best video you’ve ever made. Super entertaining and fun to watch and we’ll written
I loved the Koll's analogy at the start of the video 😅❤
I was so sad not to see any Milotic mention... 😢
Milotic can be used tho. If you have an incineroar weak team, u can use milotic effectively as it cam provide speed control with Icy Wind, burn enemies with Scald, use Flip Turn to pivot, even heal its teammates with Life Dew. Pair that with Garchomp and Ogerpon and u got a decent squad. U can even include a Trick Room mode and make Milotic a dangerous Attacker after a boost
@@Whatever_Oliver I'm aware--Milotic just was not mentioned in the video. 😜
I’m sad that Primarina and Quaquaval weren’t mentioned😢 They’re such great Pokémons
@@Ashtobflorman1997primarina is a god damn beast when paired well
Why would you even expect it though?

(the pawn can't possibly be pinned; there's no rook on the file and the light-squared bishop is just barely visible on the other side of the board)
And that absolute blunder was entirely in the player's control!
As someone who has a Kyogre plush, this makes me proud.
Love your content Wolfey!
I've top cut a few decent sized limitless tours and placed high in the GC with Walking Wake recently and I gotta say it's incredibly powerful. You should cover the best steel types next, steel being one of if not the best type in the game and having a plethora of great options to pick from
There is something deeply hilarious about the chess move at 28:09 -- Its shot all epically and powerfully. But the move is blundering the queen

I don't see how it can't be RS Urshifu or Kyogre.
I hope I'll be surprised!

Sad to not see Milo btw 😢
Fini kinda took a break in gen 8 because the lack of worlds until it was allowed with restricteds (and it didn't match the D-Max fueled offense teams well), and it's not in gen 9 (yet?) so it's kinda easy to forget but it is an incredibly consistent mon

On one hand I would be curious to see a video exploring the best dragon or psychic types next since so many legendaries and pseudo-legendaries etc fall into those groups, but given how much you’ve made a point of the terrible-ness of bug, that could be fun too.
Of course once you’ve made your 18 videos in this series, you should rank of the #1 choices from best to worst!!
Hey Wolfey! I love your stuff but I normally don't comment. Just anted to drop by to say your editing has gotten really, really good lately! Keep it up champ 😎

I’m glad gyarados has finally gotten some recognition! Gyarados has been my favorite Pokémon almost since I got into Pokémon about 9 years ago and I have been using it in ranked battles for a while now and it’s been pretty good. I use it more as a sweeper (utilizing earthquake with a stellar Tera) with the moxie ability.

Those types of videos are so entertaining. Please make one for each type
Tapu Fini is the best water pokemon of all time in my opinion. We really need the Tapus in the meta to have more terrain control and counterplay to Rillaboom and Incineroar
Also for Tapu Koko to enable future paradox mons lol, until Miraidon is legal
I’d love to see a best Ground type video

"Holy shit" -Heatran, probably
Well spots #1 and #2 are basically confirmed immediately, being Groudon and Lando (T but might combine), the 3rd slot will be interesting. This gen we got Ting Lu which made some waves and is so hard to get rid of, Garchomp and Excadrill have been menaces historically with their earthquakes (probably chomp #3 tbh)
I’d love if you talked about the best Bug types! I know they’re often considered the worst offensive type and often have poor stats but that’s what I think could actually make the video interesting; talking about which bugs manage to do really well despite their bad typing (also I like bug types I’m biased hehe 🐞)
Love your videos I learn so much, please make more about the relevant pokemon in the scene.
gastrodon is my favorite mon of all time i was happy when i saw it
Honestly I think doing dragon type next would be awesome. Not because it’s the best but it feels like the most hype
Chose Squirtle as my first Pokémon way back in Red version, and he’s been my favorite Pokémon ever since, along with Dratini, who was so stupid to catch back then but I love the little noodle.
Water has always been my favorite type, though poison and steel have definitely risen in my estimation in recent years. There are far too many to list them all, but Kingler, Dewgong, Walrein, Relicanth, and Azumarill are some of my other favorites. And there are just so many Water types 😂
I like watching this type of video cause, like, i'm more of the type of guy who likes pokemon based on their appearance, but it's fun seeing what pokemon are strong or weak to some of my favourite pokemon
Crazy editing, props to the editor❤
I couldn't put my finger on what felt different with this video, until I took note of the smaller, more prevalent sound effects. Great addition by the editor, makes it feel a lot more professional (although I also liked the more amateurish old style, gave it a lot of character.)
This is a really cool series. I would love to see the best Bug, ghost, or ground type.
Water, Dragon and Dark are my favorite pokemon types (more something about designs of pokemon, I don´t play competitive but like to see people playing it), so this was a video I was interested in see.
I have a lot watertype favorites as Swampert, Gyarados, Milotic, Kyogre , Samurott, Cloyster, Gastrodon, Walking-wake, Kabutops, Walrein and Golisopod.
For the next video I would like to know about Dragon or Dark type...or Steel and Poison that I'm getting fond of them (* Insert meme of "I understood that reference" *) .

Just wanted to pipe in and echo that The Oregon Trail game is incredibly good! My girlfriend and I play it in Movie Night fashion and it's just sooooo comforting. The music gives ya the fuzzies, and the challenges are nice! We haven't played many of the harder difficulties, so we've yet to lose a run, but it's truly a well made game.
I predicted some of the picks, but no Dracovish surprised me
18:09 what’s going on with Wolfe’s eyes here? 😂 a few other times as well! It’s like there’s some filter on them making them grow/shrink/move/change shape? 😂
I was thinking this the whole time lol! It look’s almost like a deep fake wolfey haha
Ikr, it was a bit off putting lol. Maybe the water types have held him hostage to make this video
There's a program for streamers that edits the face so that the streamer is always looking at the camera and I think it's that. It's specifically for when streamers are looking at chat or 2nd monitors so I assume wolfey is reading off a script and the program is making him keep eye contact.
