Bro, I work at a Mercedes dealership and have worked on sprinters for almost 6 years and you just saved me from taking the intakes back off from doing an oil cooler and forgetting to put one of the clips in. It freaking worked! Thank you so much!! Awesome idea
Holy s*** that's exactly what I ended up doing the other day without ever seeing this video, except I had to use 65lb fishing line and the I glued a long hot glue sticks to the backside in order to guide the clips into the actuator. Thanks for posting this video ;)
@Dr Soot or anyone else that has successfully done this: is this possible with the wire tray still in place? Don’t know if the tray is different on a sprinter van is why I’m asking since this doesn’t seem possible on a GL350 with the tray still in place.
Dr Soot 😖🤬yep😂, I don’t know German, but I confess there was swearing and talking in tongues by the time I finished this. That was a royal PIA, but got it done. Had to use acetone a few times to get crazy glue off so that I could glue the half’s back together after they split apart while I was trying to slot it into the arms.
Thanks as a new used sprinter owner I am watching every post 😀

Victor Sinclair
Are you talking about the harness that drops down in front of the turbo?
Dr Soot yep. I ended up moving the turbo, so that I could move the wire harness out the way. A week later and I’m still working on it.
Victor Sinclair Even with short cuts that is not an enjoyable job whatsoever. Best of luck, cursing in German seems to help.

Oh. Yeah. Nice video. Now if we could only see what you are doing off camera. See, you do it just like that. And your hands are not even on camera.
