That Escudo looks very much like my "Hat Trick Edition" '93 hard-top Escudo with the exception of the 5-speed manual transmission. Mine has a 4-speed OD (yes, a 4-SPEED OD!) transmission. Even the paint color matches!
I didn't expect the Suzuki Escudo/Vitara and the Toyota RAV4 to be so close, I thought the RAV4 would be MUCH faster, because the RAV4 (like most modern SUV's) is almost like a road car whereas the Suzuki is more of a true, old school offroad car.
Just realized how crazy is the Pikes Peak version of the Escudo: that thing is so heavily tuned that If I didn't know, I wouldn't say it came from this car in the video!
It took me about 3 years to realise what an Escudo was after playing GT2. We call them Vitara’s here in Australia. I always thought an Escudo was a small front wheel drive hatchback.
I love Mitsubishi too but this is just unfair because the l400 is in a class of it's own! They should've used the pajero, it would've made this a very interesting race

I always wanted a Vitara Sidekick, that's what they are called here in Argentina.
The Escudo is the part of my childhood. My dad used to be own it twice, one is that use 4x4 drivetrain and the other is with RWD drivetrain.
