    Looks like the most important part of hakeem moves is amplitude. When you look at all his videos of teaching, he always extends far with all the moves, when he spins, when he steps through, even when he moves the ball he has his arms extended to gain space and be far from the defender.
    If you look at lebron in the beginning and guys like Amare or Dwight, they are all cramped within their own close personal space if it makes sense, they don't extend far and moves are less effective.

LeBron is a 6'8 260-270 (I don't believe he is a 250 player). LeBron moves are like a robot. Like a player who needs days and days of training to try to reach 50% Hakeem.
      I mean, you could train all the time in your live, but you'd never have the release of Korver and Curry, the Hakeem's feet and moves or the perfection of Stockton about fundamentals. That's gods gifts. Not trining

      LeBron at this point was more of a power guy. He was bullying smaller 3's and that's why he's very aggro with his moves. Hakeem was always really good with his footwork because of his training in team handball and soccer. That's why it's important to play multiple sports to develop diverse skills. You don't think about footwork when it comes to hoops but look how much more fluid Hakeem is in his 50's compared to LeBron at his peak

    I agree 34 isn't as old as people make it out to be, however i disagree with this whole talent thing. There may be a smaller number of true superstars today but the overall talent of the players across the board has increased. They are more athletic and more capable than the role players of the past. And I don't know why people think Lebron couldn't thrive in a tougher era. Hand checking was still allowed when he was a rookie and he still torched grown men.

    Now, anybody understand why Dream34 was above Ewing, Robinson, Mourning, Mutombo and all the others! Definitely the number one of the centers!
    Lebron, who plays forward, make the move, spin and this is not good for The Dream. When the Dream make the move, he's doing faster, the ball is more closer to the body when he dribbles and spin on the same time...So elegant to finish !

    Did u know that during every one of Bill Russell's first 4 championships there were 8 teams in the NBA. There were 9 teams in the league every one of his next 5 titles. There were 12 teams in the NBA when he won his 10th, and 14 teams when he won his 11th chip. During everyone of his first 9 titles there was a 6 team playoff format, which means 6 out of 8 or 9 teams made the playoffs

    that bullshit man if you look at the stats you see that at the age of 28 Lebron won his 2nd ring at the age of 28 and MJ at age 29, at the time of Lebrons 2nd ring he helpt his team to 19 playoff series win and MJ to 13 playoff series win,Lebron playoff win precentage is .638 at MJ 2nd ring he had a playoffs win precentage of .587, at time of Lebron 2nd ring he has won 4 MVP awards thats 1 more than MJ when he won his 2nd ring also Lebron is a 9 all star when he won his 2nd ring and MJ a 8 time

  • @bchen972
    @bchen972 11 лет назад

    Yes... first think about how it is possible to get 11 rings. 1) he is either head and shoulders above everyone else or 2) his rings are cheap rings. Wilt played in the same era. And many consider him far better even with the huge ring disparity. Wilt changed the rules changed the game changed the stat books. Btw russell is a 6'9'' C who wasn't that athletic compared to howard the same size. During that era the avg C size was 6'8 to 6'10. Pedestrian Cs no wonder they dominated duh...

    He has the best handles and passing of any small forward, his post game has gotten much better, and he's become a great shooter. The only thing he isn't great at at this point is free throw shooting. Don't get fooled with all the bandwagon hate against lebron and the heat, he is the real deal. Sorry people are butthurt that they didn't go to his team. Not even a heat fan btw, but to say he has a basic skill set is absurd. He's the best in the league and it's not even close.

    true. hes huge, heavy and has basically no body fat. and hes almost as fast as guards like kobe or mj. all this combined make fouls on LBJ look a lot less harmless than they are. he is an athletic freak but that doesnt mean that he cant get bruises or that fouls against him arent fouls when other players would fall to the floor after such a foul.

  • @tas0666666
    @tas0666666 11 лет назад

    Gregg Popovich tried another approach.. he often times put a bigger body on james (like boris diaw) and told the defender to back off of james to deny his driving angles and dare him to shoot.. miami only won because lebron james significantly improved his mid-range/3-point game...(compared to 2011 finals, where he was defended almost the same way)

    the habit is hard to change for everyone, seems to me that they are trying to adjust LB's habit when make the spin. LB used to dribble once in the middle of the spin, dream is trying to show him the benefit of delay the dribble by pulling the ball further after spin thus will be less chance to get stole the ball from the behind when you make the turn.

    # BASKETBALL IS JAZZ
    the notes do not change, but the way you play the notes makes it look like you changed it
    the goal is score the basket, how you score the basket can be art to itself,
    each move puts the defender at a disadvantage, that move is self = art

    still got a knock down jump shot. he'd averaged 40% from down town he was shooting 56% from all cylinders, near 50% from mid range 17 feet and that's over the other 28 teams that plays different match ups or defense. some of those shots in the finals are contested.

    I'm in now way a LeBron hater .. he's the best & will end his career arguably the best I will always choose MJ but that's a diff story .. my only problem is I see a lot of ppl sayin his footwork is bad and he travels watch his highlights half of them he takes 3 sometimes 4 steps & never gets called

    The big line-ups of Pacers/Spurs could and can easily adjust to James jumping in the post because Miami doesn't have much size for support, look at what happened between games 3 and 4 in the conference finals - some coaching for help defense and shablam.

    wait when did anyone say anything about being better than Jordan tho. I get tired of people using Jordan as a measuring stick to everyone. Jordan was without a shadow of a doubt the greatest but that does not mean everyone should be compared to him.

    when they try to wrap around LeBron and LeBron finishes, it felt like an ant bite. jordan used to attack but he's doing all those circus moves to avoid contact. kobe doesn;t attack. bird is a passer. what are you saying?

  • @manredbad
    @manredbad 11 лет назад

    lengthen your dribble get closer to the point of attack. also allows you to be more square to the basket.
    have to respect lebron, other players this will come naturally to. he's the best and is out-working the league.

  • @tas0666666
    @tas0666666 11 лет назад

    it depends on his matchup... it's certainly a good idea against smaller opponents but if you put a bigger body on him, back off of him and dare him to shoot.. he just has to take some mid-range jumpers and 3s.

  • @NFLAdam86

    it's not lebron's poor handles and footwork. It's just his frame is really big for his body plus you're watching a master train a student. the student is always going to look less experienced.
