I bought a 2017 Green Go Color R/T Challenger and I love it. It’s a 5.7 L HEMI with 375 hp and sounds great. It’s fast and the gas mileage isn’t that bad. When cruising the engine runs on 4 cylinders instead of 8 which isn’t bad because all 8 cylinders kick in right away when needed. It’s automatic which a lot of people are finding to be faster than the manual. Something to do with the automatic having 8 speed and the manual having fewer speeds. (Not much difference) The manual uses more gas because the engine runs on all 8 cylinders at all times unlike the automatic. Of course the 6.4 L are faster and kick ass but you pay over $1000 at time of purchase for gas guzzler tax and the gas mileage isn’t as good. It’s a really nice fast car but unless you’re drag racing a lot get the 5.7 L, automatic transmission. I’m averaging 22mpg city/highway and that’s stepping on it every once in awhile. I love it!
Plus i average on highway 7litres per 100 or 35 imperial mpg in my 392 scat pack and around town it's around the same as your 5.7 depends on my right foot lol
welp if you're buying/leasing from a dealer, you can make them fix it before you buy it. That's what I did. I sat in my car on a sunday, signed it, and on tuesday when I came to pick it up it had 2 minor dings in it (that I didn't do). My dealership set up a date and time, and fixed it all for me no charge.
I gave a lot of thought and consideration to it and decided in 2012 to buy a 2013 R/T Classic (bright white) with a 6 speed manual. I am 100% satisfied with it.
Greengo is one of the most popular Mopar colors and l like it a lot myself, but my new favorite color is Destroyer Gray. Either way it's Mopar or no car baby
Coming from a 947hp cummins, i knew a 5.7 wouldnt be enough. I went with a 392 with a 6 speed and i couldnt be happier. 5.7s are great for people who have never experienced real power in a vehicle before. But if youve been around high performance vehicles for a while, but dont wanna deal with getting tickets all the time, the 392 is a good happy medium. Dont get me wrong, its a powerful vehicle for sure, but its anything but unmanageable. If you own a hellcat or anything faster, you either have to have deep enough pockets to deal with crazy insurance premiums cause of tickets, or not care at all when you lose your license lol.
I have a maxima as my first car but them challengers catch my eye every time, I want it as a daily driver but I think an RT will make me pay too much for gas, month payment, and insurance. Definitely want the rt more but I think an sxt now and upgrade later

You get 6 piston brembo brakes, adjustable suspension, and far better interior than a scat. If you’re hunting for a 392. Get a used SRT 2015-2018 models. This dude don’t know what he’s talking about. Scat packs, unless fully loaded, will never be as nice as the SRTs. Even fully loaded they don’t have all the perks.
Ive always like the look of the shaker 392. Just watching the motor shake when you rev it is nice. The dark blue or dark red i like. Would never get the 5.7 but thats just me.
To me, I prefer the Scatpack, just because It’s cheaper, and it still the same fast as the TA392 and Srt392. Because my homeboy have a Srt and I have a Scatpack, and the only difference is suspension and a couple apps, which I didn’t care for. Other than that, we match in proformance wise.
A new version of this video in 2019 would greatly be welcomed since things have hugely changed with the introduction of the new Hellcat redeye, Hellcat, and Scat pack, with SRT and ST trims, plus I think the 399HEMI has been discontinued have definitely made so confusing for some of us. Please do a 2019 follow up to this video
I have a T/A 392 and I really like it. Did the dealership have an all wheel drive model there? Just thinking about the fact that it does snow there, and yes they do make them for any nay sayers that say they don't. I live in the southern US so snow isn't an issue. This car just like any car depends on what the individual buyer is looking for. Speaking for myself I wanted something with an attitude that would go, but I don't need a supercharger because I do drive it daily. I test drove a 5.7 shaker and this car I have, obviously the 392 won me over. I've had Camaros and Mustangs but they don't project the attitude this car does.
T/A392 Green Go My 2013 srt8 392 challenger is phantom black tri-coat pearl. Its a really nice factory color that looks great in the sun. Has hints of green and blue in the pearl but basically looks black from any distance.
I'd want a Challenger R/T Shaker in Plum Crazy with white classic R/T stripes. I'd give it a Procharger, American Racing Torque Thrust M rims, suspension upgrades, and tires usually used on supercars. Classic look with modern performance.
I just test drove a 2016 Hellcat, was rather unimpressed with its handling but was left in default mode, should have tried Track mode. But all in all the car did not handle very well as compared to my current car. I like the looks of the scatpack shaker best.

If they don't have the money to buy them outright then they just keep paying the bank while they borrow it the whole time it depreciates in value. These cars can get into ones ego real quick not to mention your wallet. In general cars are the worst investment you could make. Now all that being said don't you feel at least a little bit better 😂😂😂👍
if you really want one, find a picture you like, hang it up on the wall somewhere, put a jar underneath it, and save up. Takes a long time but it worked for me.
The only vehicle worth buying from dodge is the newer body style Durango, Period. The challenger is nice dont get me wrong but you get a muscle car to win. And out of the camaro and the mustang its slower and more expensive. If you going strictly for looks hell the Camaro takes the win on that between all of the options. Space wise it does have a little more space barely so still not the option I'd go with and I've owned both and currently own the 2017 2ss Camaro. And it beats both track and street wise. Anyone shopping I hope this helps your buy.

That sucks. I bought mine, with incentives and a little bargaining for $41,000 (American). I'm not a green fan either, and love mine in white. The cold air intake under the hood is pretty awesome and , bigger wheels, tires and brakes on the T/A made me go with it, opposed to the Scat Pack. I woulda have to pay up to $10,000 more for an SRT here, and yeah, I couldn't afford nor do I need a Hellcat. Love to have one, but we have to be honest with ourselves and what we can afford. Also, I'm retired and I'm gonna drive my T/A like I own it. If I wait 40 years, I'll be 98, and that's not gonna happen. LOL! Gonna enjoy it now. It IS an awesome car, just as all the others in your video are too.

With the TA, Scatpack, and srt392, you get the same straight line performance no matter what option you chose. In fact, the scat pack is 200 lbs lighter so that’s why the 0-60 and quarter mile times are a little bit faster than the TA and srt392

There's no gas guzzler tax on the R/T Scat Pac with the 392 and 485HP.........there IS on the SRT with the same motor!

That's easy. The SCAT PACK of course. Economically, it's the more sound choice. You get so much more car and tech for the money.
Super charge a 392 srt ain't that easy. Lots of work and money involved for sure. Totally different between that srt motor and the one in a hellcat.
