Looks really good. I’ve been looking into making one myself. Have mostly seen 2 wires twisted at once in either the forward or reverse motion on the drill to create your desired pattern but I like the free and not molded fit on your design. For me, I’d go without any coating, green wrist and all, simply for the added benefits of copper making direct contact to skin.
God Bless you sir from the bottom of my heart!! I been wanting to make my own because im to poor and cant afford a real one. My life dream is to mine for gold full time and make jewelry out of what i find! If God ever blesses me with this life i will be back to drop off a nice silver necklace for you!
When i read homemade, i wasnt expecting that i'm gonna need TIG welder to make it. I basicaly opened video just to see a way to conect rings when you have just simple tools to work with.
You make it seem so simple. Thank you, I enjoyed your video. Can you share the wire gauge and the aspect ratio for the jump rings? I tried making one using 12 gauge wire with 6mm inside diameter and found it to be a bit too big. Thanks.
@@gaiiaxyz2870 Yes I believe that I have. I made a bracelet out of copper using a 3 to 1 ratio. 2mm wire into a 6mm inner diameter. I think 5.5mm interior diameter would work well too, but have not tried that yet.
I plan on doing something similar with gold or silver wire . Simply because I cannot afford to pay for one even Harlem bling . I am confident I will be satisfied as you seem to be with your bracelet nice job
I never knew you could straighten wires out like that, and got so into it when I tried it out that I ended up making one of my dad's drills smoke a little bit
You don't need a TIG welder you can use what's called a mini torch you'll have to buy these small tanks one for oxygen the other for whatever kind of gas you're gonna use think you can use nap gas. I just got a mini torch today. Haven't used it yet and it was only 45 bucks but I already have my own tanks and if you order it also order what's called blowback protector that's included in the 45 bucks
I use 30-35 amps. Once the link get red hot(2 seconds) it completely fuses it all shut. You can do it at 50 amps if you want to just zap them, I don't have that level of foot pedal control. Just make sure the coppers really clean before you tack it because any impurities in the copper will weaken that link and when you go to twist the chain the link with the impurity will break
Beautiful work there brother. I wanted to know if there's any way you can please make a set bracelet & chain for me and how much would it be?? I would love a set in Yellow like the one you have & a set in rose gold color?? You have a blessed day looking looking forward to hearing from you. Luis Hernandez

I just use scrap 16 or 12 Gage I'm going to try one using two wires twisted together to make the links. depending on what size you want it just grab a drill bit and use the shank you can go 1/4 if that's too small go 3/8 I'd go on the smaller side for a feminine bracelet little larger for a mans
De verdad torciste el alambre en espiral? no se ve torcido mientras lo trabajas. 🤨. Igual es increíble lo que se puede hacer con restos de alambre de cobre.
@@zizoclever That was awhile ago and now I have a few successfully. If I remember right I think I made the link to round causing them to slip. Making them slightly oval shaped they seat and stay in place when twisting. Also pull it at the same time you twist also keeping it seated.
@@bigriggc5828 oww bro that's so smart actually. After you welded the open ends, you just squeezed the links a little bit with some tweezers to make them oval right? Before twisting them? Also did you use tig welding or a torch and copper solder? Thanks a lot in advance friend
@@zizoclever I used sliver solder, since normal plumbing solder is to soft, I only have a stick welder so that wouldn’t work on the the links, at least not well. And yah I used ground down pliers, as to not mar the copper, and squished slightly. I also eventually made a jig to wind the links around and I made that oval shaped so the links were automatically right.
The music was very hard on the ears. Try with no music next time. No demo video should have music. Natural sounds and silence in between is best. This was an excellent chain build demo! Love the chunkiness. You forgot to tell us what gauge wire this was, looks like 8-10 gauge most likely. You can buy bare copper wire too, but liked your recycling. That was a neat trick with the drill to straighten out the wire, never knew you could do that. Also liked the wax or silicone or what you put down to hold it in place while filing. Very clever. Chain looks fantastic! Well done! I learned a lot, thank you.
really nice work! You may overthink your action to wear it every day cause your sweat is caustic and the result is an copper salt, entering your body when liquified...
Only half true. You would have to EAT an enormous amount of copper in order to achieve the level of toxicity required. Fortunately, his bracelet isn't enough to do much other than turn his wrist green from his sweat increasing oxidation.

You can coat the copper with something like Renaissance wax. Protects and keeps it from reacting

Good job burning out some of the insulation in the drill motor lowering its torque
You shouldn’t. It creates internal stresses in the links. Just yank on the free end with pliers after annealing the wire
what guage were those copper wires ?
