For those unaware of the reason the copper wire was heated in the beginning, is because it was annealed/softened. Immediately after the wire is heated to a cherry red, it is quenched in cold water. Then you can straighten it out and use steel wool, or chemicals to clean of the oxidation.
Fun to watch!! Thanks! BTW Can to suggest an affordable, jewelry mill?? I have been wanting one for a bit, however I can't seem to find the help I need for research. I use copper (tiny bit brass and bronze) wire from 30g to 8g. TY for any help!!
ive attempted this 6 times so far... back to see what im doing wrong lol. i think i already see my issue. also... would be nice to havr a rolling mill lol. ive been using the classic. hammer smash
Beautiful, and alot more easier than the other methods. Just wanted to Is electrical wire safe to use everyday after oxidation, or is crafting wire better?
Thanks for sharing, looks stunning. How do you stop it making your wrist green though, can you add some kind of lacquer/varnish on the inside to stop it reacting with your skin, sweat, oils to prevent the green reaction?
Why would you want to stop it. It washes off in the shower or the sink. Next if your body chemicals Ala sweat is turning green from contact it means your sugar is to high or your pH is way off. So take care of your body and where copper because it's like a dip stick it helps you stay in check.
Ok,I understand now. Heating the metal, causes it to be more pliable and easier to work with. I always had, a rather difficult time braiding wire before but I see how it would be less labor intensive!🤷
Hej. Awesome video. I have subscribed to you and liked your video. I have 2 small qustions if i may please . What are the fine saw blades you use called as i cant find anything similar. Also what is the solder you are using and what is it called as i also cant find it anywhere. Thank you
Hello, since all the materials I use are jeweler's materials, when you search you should look for jeweler's saw. Type jeweler's saw in the search field. The solder I use is silver solder.
Ikr...So many people think it's necessary to add music for some reason. I enjoy just hearing the natural sounds of a craftsman doing what they love to do.
Cool idea but if have metal allergies cannot wear anything but gold or surgical grade stainless steel then no good not to mention the fact that will eventually have a green mark on wrist or whatever jewellery you make from copper
Copper in the most non allergic metal there is also copper from this will bleach in and be one of the main trace minerals your body is required to have for healthy joint. Why do yiu think ppl wear copper, for the health benefits mainly and next because it looks cool. So of someone told you that you can't wear copper you'd look like you had polio and in a wheel chair if you where allergic to it. But Copper Brass Bronze and Nordic Gold are all Hypoallergenic. ✌️
Excellent video
It takes me back to being 11 years old and our very first metal work project
Thank you !
Nice, thank you for the knowledge good sir. I can't wait to try it out. Fantastic technique. 🤌🏼👏🏼
Beautiful!
Unbelievable!
Such talent and creativity!
Thank you so much
Nice job! I have a bunch of copper wire. I wish I had all the equipment too. I’d love to try this.
Love it, such a great idea, thanks
Great video, great bracelet.
Thank you

Excellent way to turn your wrist green!
Your boyfriend bought you some snide jewellery years ago,and you just can't get over it eh.

@@pegknife That sounds like something a 25 year old virgin would say...
Your wrist will only go green if your body is lacking in copper.
😊 Beautiful 😊
Very nice!
Thank you very much !
Thank you
Nice job! 👍🏻
That's so cool! 🙂
Stunning

THANK YOU. Jewellery rolling machine. Type this and search
Aawesome vid! Great tunez too! #bullybrand
wow! love it, thanks for sharing. What thickness and length of the wire you are using for this bracelet?
Thanks.
The thickness should be 120 microns, I don't remember.
Looks like 14 gauge
He doesn't want to tell you everyone of us know the size we use for everything we ever made.
Shiny bracelet 👌 I have a question. You soldered the two ends and then sawed them again, why? Was it possible not to solder the two ends together? 🙂
Yes it was possible but I did it to show that it can be done two ways.
If you keep it clean and polished it's not an issue. Copper isn't something I would wear on a daily basis.
You should if you want your joints to benefit!@@mikeconrad454
Nicely crafted! I wonder if the solder that is used in HVAC, would work? Huh!
Wouldn’t it be nice if they actually answered questions!
I used to make them out of stainless steel TIG welding wire in work same principle and they come out like silver bracelets
Nice 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍🤝🤝🤝
What do you seal it with to stop it from turning green??
ive attempted this 6 times so far... back to see what im doing wrong lol. i think i already see my issue. also... would be nice to havr a rolling mill lol. ive been using the classic. hammer smash

@@Monstermagick Congratulations, and good job for not giving up :)
Just subbed... 👍🏼👍🏼

In the shower etc, I don't take my bracelets off after it's on😅
He doesn't need to talk... You can clearly see what he's doing....you heat the copper wire because it softens it... Makes it easier to manipulate
Nice 😊
Thanks for sharing, looks stunning. How do you stop it making your wrist green though, can you add some kind of lacquer/varnish on the inside to stop it reacting with your skin, sweat, oils to prevent the green reaction?
Heavy duty clear nail polish on inside.
No O2

Dam! That was awesome
After heating the wire, does it get a cold plunge? Or do you let it cool down?
It doesn't matter, I do it this way so that it cools down quickly.
What gage wire is it? Really love the design. Thanks,
It should be 180-200 microns, I don't remember exactly.
Why do you heat the wire with a torch before working it?
to soften metal
Ok,I understand now. Heating the metal, causes it to be more pliable and easier to work with. I always had, a rather difficult time braiding wire before but I see how it would be less labor intensive!🤷
It anneals the copper, this makes it more malleable, if worked too hard the copper will need annealing again
@keithrussell8778 thanks!😉
Would you Not end up with green wrists?
Hey mate ... is your vice magnetised or bolted to the bench ? ... cheers

silver solder
A pulseira ficou excelente mas gostaria de saber qual o tipo de solda que usou.
I use silver solder, which is used in making silver jewelry.
@nedjewelryworkshop thank you!!
Of course, I forgot, everybody has a 10 ton roller press!
Why did you join (Solder) and then cut?
the heating process makes the copper extremely soft,
👍👍👍
👍😎
Now notice, they have twisted it in a clockwise direction and then twisted it in a counterclockwise direction.
Music sucks, can you do vids just with the maker sounds? Products you make are cool.

QUESTION..... Doesn't copper jewelry turn your SKIN GREEN when it is introduced to water?
It’s a reaction to your skin chemistry.
On most people, it does not turn your skin green. I have made over 100 copper bracelets and they have never turned green on anyone
Did you say wire size or did I miss it
I did not use a standard size, I made it according to my wrist size.
The gauge or diameter of each wire before you twist it is what I was asking.
Looks like 16 gauge wire.
Torpedo in the ashtray? Nice dude
Disain perhiasan yang baik
Thank you
Just went temple of doom on that twisted wire.

and have a black wrist
I anneal a lot more.
First invest in a twist pliers. Next, why the hell would anyone what a soft, bendable bracelet that leaves a green line around your wrist?
Copper work hardens and becomes rather tough
Clear paint stops the oxidization
More
Doesn’t matter either way
What is purpose of this video, since it has no words to explain the process.
Lenght of wires? You got the tools, naaah!!
Between 25 and 30 cm
If you have a rolling mill DON'T do that too it! Cover your wife top and bottom with cardboard to protect your mills rollers
Are you honestly worried about soft copper hurting steel rollers? 😂
Pmsl copper is not going to harm steel lol
If you have a rolling machine and a jewlers saw, this video isn't necessary...
Nice work but you don't help anyone if you don't talk
Braze or solder the ends together, then cut the damn thing in half again...
Yep, makes perfect sense.
It actually does. It dresses the loose ends together into one streamlined piece.
Beautiful!
👍👍👍
