Here is how i do it: 1. Grab fresh mag with just your index and thumb 2. Hit the mag release with the middlefinger of your shooting hand and let the mag fall into the three fingers of your reloading hand. 3. insert fresh mag and store old one
@@vendettaslice8378 Yeah. It barely worked when i started doing it. I did it with real guns and airsoft guns (gbb mags have about the same weight as fully loaded real ones.) Also you need a somewhat long middlefinger or you have to ajust your shooting hand a bit weirdly to reach the mag release. I found myself doing this instead of the techniqe shown in the video bc my fingers just were not long enough to hold the two mags safely in my hand and i ended up dropping a lot of mags on the ground. (The mags issued also got this nubs to clip them together which makes the monkey-grib technique even harder)
There are different ways of reloading it. I learned This technique in basic training. Never called it „affengriff“ but it does not matter. Different units, different reloads and names. We call a technique „affengriff“ for dismanteling our pistol. As i said it does not matter. Nice content!
Yes, you are right. The Affengriff is for the P8. This technique is just the simple reload. He also has to grab the fresh Magazin on the last few inches, because if your hands not big enough u will never be able to change it like in the video seen. There are other techniques like the Spinnengriff. That's one for the G36. If you are interested I can explain it. But this one then in german 😁 #Grüße aus der GebJgBrig23
@@visassess8607 it's "Monkeygrab" and "Spidergrab" the reason they have this weird names is the move you make and the first impression our soldiers had about it. It's nothin official. The troops named them themselves like this 😌
Back in my service time the term "Affengriff" (monkey-grip) was used for a technique to unload the G36. Magazine out, thumb over the ejection port and rest of your fingers under the Magazine well. Pull the charging handle and you have the chambered round in your hand and not somewhere on the ground. Saves a lot of trouble.
Used with the HK416 in the Norwegian army as well, except with the added touch of the middle finger reaching for the bolt hold open button and keeping that depressed while pulling the charging handle with the opposite hand. We haven't really given that technique a name but monkey grip fits the bill nicely.
@@Ruben1994OL Ah... yes. I forgot that bit. In my defense it's been already 17 years since then. Do you turn the rifle to the left to check the chamber through the ejection port afterwards as well?
I know it's not technically the same thing but a g36c was mu first airsoft replica i owned, even though it weighed around 3.5 kg it was very well balanced and very comfortable to use. It's still my favorite gun type.
@@nutitoo If you ever have the chance, try out the G36A4 and let me know how it goes, that is my fav model from the platform !! I wish I could try it out
The "Monkey-Grip" is something different, guys. The Monkey-Grip is a technique to disassemble the HK P8 pistol. What you are demonstrating is a variation of the "Dschungle-Style" reload, but it would not work with actual G-36 Mags due to the notches the mags have at their sides in order to be clipped together. In addition, this is a G36C, the shorter version of what is actually used by the majority of German forces. The G36C is used only by a few special forces units.
It does work, but you need really big hands to do that comfortably. I can barely do it, but there are better ways. Also, the couplers/notches annoy the shit out of me. I hate them with a passion.
Reload with retention. Very important. This is a great method, but I normally teach the "L" reload for beginners as the magazines dont interfere with each other.
that's actually a really smart design because its a lot easier to use, like the mag release, charging handle, and the outline of the mag so you'll know how far then mag can go in.
They taught us to reload that way back in Marine Boot Camp, it’s useful and I think it’s a great reload but I usually do the L reload, helps get through it faster
Back in my service time, monkeygrip/affengriff had a different meaning. I would consider this as just reloading my g36 without dropping the empty magazine 😅
I thought that was called a tac-reload, and you can do this with any AR variants as well, just use a finger between the empty mag and the fresh mag you want to reload
Oh, so that’s what it’s call, I always reload that way with my AR. My right index finger will reach up to push the mag release, and my left hand will grab the empty mag while already holding a full mag, except I put the bottoms of the mags together at a 90 degree angle (top of the loaded mag facing forward) drop the empty mag out, then just rotate the he loaded mag upwards into the mag well. Click it, use the bottom on the empty mag to hit the bolt release, then stick the mag in back pocket, good to go!
I've been doing this affengriff as a "tac reload" for years. It works on my ARs that have an Ambi mag release (so, all of them) as well as my CZ 805 & Bren2. The Bren2 has to be my favorite as it has a non-reciprocating charging handle which makes for extremely efficient manual bolt hold opens. **I run my Bren2 with the Dan Haga lower that accepts an AR FCG to run a binary trigger but gets rid of the bolt hold/release inside the trigger guard. Honestly, I don't give a damn about that thing anyway so it's a small price to pay for a third position switch and 600+rpm fire rate.
The model with the longer barrel is the base version, the one shown here is a bit special. Might be the G36C with C as in commando, which is slightly less accurate over long distances but much better suited to urban engagements. For what we did with it this is indeed a great rifle.
>really know there stuff >controls in the trigger guard That's the kind of foresight I would expect from people who started and lost two world wars in half a century.
@@m0nkEzGermany defeated two times but only with the combined firepowers of the four biggest armed forces of the world. USA defeated four times in a row by only a fraction of that single little country they actually try to mess with. Like parts of Korea, Vietnam Irak and Afghanistan 😂😂😂
Have to say apart from the Affen (the ff is just a fast f in the spoken way) you 110% nailed the other German words. Proud to say u kinda sounded like a real German
For all the flak this gun design got, it's still a very unique and well thought out design. Ambidextrous, easy to manipulate controls with a cleaver layout and foward thinking (for the time) construction with polymer materials... still one of my top GOAT guns.
That is basically the same tactical reload often taught in the US. The only difference is that with magazines without the over-insertion stop to create space, you tuck the end of your index finger between the two magazines.
The G36 , specifically the C , will always be my favourite gun just because it was the first airsoft rifle I bought and because i loved using it back in cod 4

may work with airsoft. probably not on a real one
@@Robomann Works pretty well on a real one, bc thats how i do it
Yeah you need a Strong index finger for That 😂
@@vendettaslice8378 Yeah. It barely worked when i started doing it.
I did it with real guns and airsoft guns (gbb mags have about the same weight as fully loaded real ones.)
Also you need a somewhat long middlefinger or you have to ajust your shooting hand a bit weirdly to reach the mag release.
I found myself doing this instead of the techniqe shown in the video bc my fingers just were not long enough to hold the two mags safely in my hand and i ended up dropping a lot of mags on the ground. (The mags issued also got this nubs to clip them together which makes the monkey-grib technique even harder)
@@trooper7245 Since you seem to own one, do G36s support AR magazines?
You're going as German as possible lol

Best people ever 👍
it sounds so well working, you can hear the well oiling like an asmr

@@PeterKaserne What do the words "affengrif" and "spinnengrif" mean? I assume affengrif is "off-grip" like off handed?
@@nadiaroler6314 Absolutely, like Alec Baldwin's made perfectly clear to us, you can't really check your chamber often enough.

We do that in the US military as well. We were taught the L reload, and parallel reload as we called it.
Germans also has the L-Reload. Just für small.hands
This is actually how how load my AR, I was working on reloads and felt this was the most comfortable.

Love the g36, never knew about the trigger release. Cool shit
I love the G36, great video.
G36 is my fav AR platform, its beautiful, reliable and barely any recoil ! props to the germans for making a very very good weapons
The precision is awesome too ......
I know it's not technically the same thing but a g36c was mu first airsoft replica i owned, even though it weighed around 3.5 kg it was very well balanced and very comfortable to use. It's still my favorite gun type.

Still is.
I love the G36. Just so cool and it looks so comfy to hold
Ok, H&K is definitely worth the huge price difference. Love the charging handle and the release(s)
The G earns its name!
🤓
Interesting.
Yeah..this is completly garbage clip. This is just a tactical mag change, as everyone does it lol
Anyway, AK and AR reloads the same way)))
It does work, but you need really big hands to do that comfortably. I can barely do it, but there are better ways. Also, the couplers/notches annoy the shit out of me. I hate them with a passion.
I think this is the first time ever i have heard an english speaker correctly pronounce Heckler & Koch... thank you so much for that
I know the monkey grip from dismantling the p8 "pistol", sometimes also called the C grip
Reload with retention. Very important. This is a great method, but I normally teach the "L" reload for beginners as the magazines dont interfere with each other.
L reload with a paddle mag release?
that's actually a really smart design because its a lot easier to use, like the mag release, charging handle, and the outline of the mag so you'll know how far then mag can go in.
Can’t wait to buy one of these, one of my favorite guns
They taught us to reload that way back in Marine Boot Camp, it’s useful and I think it’s a great reload but I usually do the L reload, helps get through it faster
I do he boom diggaty gorilla grip relaid. It’s more secure
Back in my service time, monkeygrip/affengriff had a different meaning. I would consider this as just reloading my g36 without dropping the empty magazine 😅
Yeah it looks like common sense
The classic method would just to do it in two steps, one mag after another.
The trigger release button is awesome
As a german i must say your german is really good
Their French is shit, tourniquet kills me hahahaha
I thought that was called a tac-reload, and you can do this with any AR variants as well, just use a finger between the empty mag and the fresh mag you want to reload
Same lol
Such a dope rifle. I frickin need one of these in my life.
Same
The coolest reload in the history of call of duties
Fun fact: this is one of the two standard mag switches you learn in the swiss military.
Safe to say i was mildly dissapointed 🤣
Same in the french army 😩
Oh, so that’s what it’s call, I always reload that way with my AR. My right index finger will reach up to push the mag release, and my left hand will grab the empty mag while already holding a full mag, except I put the bottoms of the mags together at a 90 degree angle (top of the loaded mag facing forward) drop the empty mag out, then just rotate the he loaded mag upwards into the mag well. Click it, use the bottom on the empty mag to hit the bolt release, then stick the mag in back pocket, good to go!
Nice 👍
This is the way I was taught in boot camp
He absolutely nailed the Heckler und Koch and Zack Bumm, well done🫡
Интересный сделали немцы , стреляешь и видешь сколько патронов осталось в обойме !
I like this assault rifle, particularly the models with longer barrels. Top quality stuff!!!
The model with the longer barrel is the base version, the one shown here is a bit special. Might be the G36C with C as in commando, which is slightly less accurate over long distances but much better suited to urban engagements.
For what we did with it this is indeed a great rifle.
This gun even looks more reliable than an AK 47
That’s a nice machine right there. Beautiful design.

For all the flak this gun design got, it's still a very unique and well thought out design. Ambidextrous, easy to manipulate controls with a cleaver layout and foward thinking (for the time) construction with polymer materials... still one of my top GOAT guns.
Those germans and austrians love their thick mags! I use pretty much the same technique for my AUG a3
That paddle release in the trigger area is genius IMO. I have a USP and I actually like the paddle mag release

Personally the g36 has always been one of my most beloved guns through childhood, we’d always get mp5 aug and g36 air soft loadouts
You lost me until I heard “release inside the trigger” then you had me again.
Always loved this weapon! It had a huge presence in the late 90’s and early 2000 action movies.
That is basically the same tactical reload often taught in the US. The only difference is that with magazines without the over-insertion stop to create space, you tuck the end of your index finger between the two magazines.
Blessed to say I have several of my dream guns but G36 will always be at the top of the list!! Thing is sickkkk
I love the H & K weapon design
Doing any kind of reload with gloves like that is impressive 😂
As an ex Brit soldier of 22 years that “monkey grip” is a load of bollocks!
The additional bolt release at the trigger is pretty neat
I love the g36, such a clean gun design
They even over-engineered how to reload. How wonderfully German
The G36 , specifically the C , will always be my favourite gun just because it was the first airsoft rifle I bought and because i loved using it back in cod 4
The G36 looks so much like the M41A that I thought you’d converted an Aliens prop into a real gun for a second 😅
I may not be German, But i always loved the design of this gun, very Sci Fi looking.
