Umarex=You-Ma-Rex 😋 The Sabre is a nice launcher as is the new Salt Supply S2 as both are good choices for a first self defense launcher. I would not suggest firing anything over 4.6 grams out of these launchers if you don't want to wear out the o-rings and detents faster. The usage range is 30 feet or less but most of the time you'll be using it at 7-10 feet as this is the average range for crimes according to the FBI. I carry a Byrna and/or an LTL Bravo for my EDC depending on if its gonna stay on me or not (the Byrna was the only Less Lethal launcher company that would do business with California residence 2 years ago so it was the only option). The thing I like most about these launchers is that because they aren't firearms, you have more freedom to use them in situations where you might hesitate because you're not sure if lethal force is needed. Of couse I still believe in carring a 9mm or something else for obvious reasons, but having that Less Lethal makes a big difference if you're ever in that kind of situation where self defense for yourself or another is warrented.
@@MNTrader2012 Less Lethal does have its place in many situations where lethal force isn't necessary. I've been hit by the kinetic rounds and I can tell you from the perspective of a combat vet, they hurt like hell. A few shots will definitely put 95% of people on the ground quickly so you can get away from that situation. Of course you should always carry a good firearm as well for those more serious situations, but those are far fewer in general.
@@MNTrader2012 You do realize that greater than 99% of the time someone is shot with a so-called lethal round the perp does not suddenly blow-up and vaporize, they usually end up in the hospital and live to vandalize another day... So, what's wrong with LTL ???
I think you failed to mention that the threaded knob on the bottom of the clip must be tightened in order to activate the CO2 cartridge. Bad omission. Personally, I would never purchase a black launcher, regardless of the maker. I want people (especially police) that I'm packing a non-lethal defense weapon. I like this Sabre model but this is their v.1. I hope it's built to last.

Pepper balls ❌
Pepper bowls✅
Straight up= Good. Impressive weapon. I would purchase this weapon for home use. Its velocity is impressive.
100% agreed. It's great for those who can't or don't want a firearm.
How many joules?
What happens to the CO2 charge when the magazine is released, can you reload the magazine without replacing the CO2 cartridge?
Cartridge is fine since it is put in a separate compartment in the magazine
Thanks for doing this , I just bought one !
Glad I could help!
Thanks for the video!
Question:
Do the projectiles work in a paint ball gun?
Thank you! Yes, they should work as long as it's the same caliber. However, keep in mind that they are not made for paintball guns!
@@GearandGuardian ok. Thank you.

Awesome! Thanks for the info!
Very true. Don't bet your life on non-lethal.
