Music with South American, Caribean and Latin roots sung with heart and soul in the Spanish language mixed with classical guitar sounds. They come from my earliest musical memories while I express my deepest emotions in my native language to share with love some of the sounds of my origins.

Maggie Oliva - Vanuit het hart gezongen Zuid-Amerikaanse en Latijnse roots in de Spaanse taal gemixed met klassieke gitaarklanken. Ze zingt uit haar vroegste muzikale herinneringen en drukt haar diepste emoties uit in haar moedertaal om met liefde enkele geluiden van haar oorsprong te delen. Begeleid door een gitarist die vanuit het gevoel zijn geïmproviseerde noten speelt.
While I am singing, I remember my
first musical memories, the songs my mother used to sing. While I am expressing, my deepest South American emotions in Spanish, my mother language, accompanied by a guitar player who read my heart with his guitar sounds.
My Mochican mother, used to tell me that I was born singing, like my grandmother, like herself. My father, original from the Peruvian Andes wish to see me always dancing, smiling and happy. But then other needs were more important to survive, go to study and work to assume more responsabilities than a very young girl was able to fullfil in order to take care of my little brothers and sister who I loved so much. Thanks God, I did it!
May the sound of my soul reach the sky ... where my parents, my only sister and one of my brothers are but if that was not enough the love of my life and father of my children. Now is time to go back to my roots to my inner child.

Memorable day to honor the memory of my father. 2 years ago he passed away so far away from me. I know he keeps smiling in Heaven.
