Coagulation Cascade and Fibrinolysis - clotting factors, regulation and control mechanism

- "The classic coagulation cascade is divided into the extrinsic and intrinsic pathways which both lead to what is called the common pathway. The hallmark of both intrinsic and extrinsic pathway of coagulation is the sequential activation of a series of clotting factors. Clotting factors are shown as Roman numerals, and numerals followed by the alphabet represents an active clotting factor. For example X --: Xa (Xa being the active factor)
The classical view of coagulation is very useful to interpret coagulation tests and identifying bleeding disorders based on coagulation factors. However physiologically the coagulation cascade is much more confusing. There is a cell based model of coagulation which involves 3 steps: initiation, amplification and propagation."

Keep doing your work, and please upload atleast 2 or 3 videos if you have time. No pressure on you sir. I'm in medschool, currently watching your whole videos. It's helping me a lot, even if it's posted 9 years ago. Love you from INDIA ❤️❤️❤️
That's a really nice comment :) Hi to a future colleague from Germany! 🖐
This topic is quite hard or time consuming to learn... Nice presentation! Thank you!
It's pretty hard
But I wanna tell you that our professor finished it in barely 20 minutes
But now I think I learned at least 40% of it in 1 go
This is better than my class lectures!

Is collagen a factor of fibrosis?
An excess in collagen production is necessary for the development of pulmonary fibrosis. The cells responsible for collagen production are believed to be fibroblasts and myofibroblasts
Man this crap neverfails to scramble my brain, that's just way too much info to ingest in one sitting, like this go back and fourth back and fourth and around, and than back to the middle😵💫😵💫I'll never get it lol

Thank you very much
