Damn. I've been watching for YEARS and this might be my favorite demo tune. Holy smokes, that just rocked! Pete Thorn FTW....again.
Pete, great job of showing the full range of the Pittbull's versatility and range of options. Nobody ever thinks of demoing the Ultra-Lead with a stock Strat. That was killin! Also dig that you used it to track the bass, like you also did on the Deliverance demo. One of the most aggressive amps of all time has a few sweet spots too!
I use my CLX for all guitars and mainly my strat in either HSS or SSS! Love Fryette amps.
My buddy has an old VHT CL100 and a Fryette Deliverance. Such great amps!!!
Since I have to sell my Sig:X due to my disability, I might buy a Pitbull module to keep my Deliverance module company. My next target is the Sound City module.
I bought this module and paired it with my 2/90/2 and and stereo rig and fxs and its amazing sounding, previous '96 Ultralead with GEQ owner and this demo got me through missing my amp until I plunked the cash on the module!!
The Pitbull's versatility is underrated. Everyone talks about it as a metal amp but it can do soooo much more!
It's my desert island amp really.
Well, that's the best distortion tone I've ever heard, like a IIC+ but better. Why am I only hearing about this Pitbull Ultra Lead amp now? And why is it not still in production?

Sounds amazing (both the module and the demo)! ...but here's where the one and only fail lies; the EQ light should have been green! Signature VHT/Fryette green!!!
This one of 8 Synergy pre's I have. It is not only the bee's knees, it is the bees massive balls hanging down swinging between the knees. All the tone, shape and grind you could ever want in an amp. Smooth gain, tight bite and thick depth. Well played Pete!!

Geezus Pete! All of your demo tracks that you write are awesome but man oh man this one is a complete STANDOUT. It absolutely deserves to be made into a full-blown song. EPIC playing - I heard Satch and Petrucci moments in there but all with the unmistakeable Pete Thorn style.

Always loved the VHT Pittbull series. Had a couple opportunities to buy one in the early 00's for cheap. Stupid that I passed on them.

Hi Pete !! I realize this Video is a few years old . But amazing job on putting it together . I have a couple of Randall Preamp Modules and after watching this Video it's clear to me that Synergy is a way better product . Hopefully sometime in the next few years I'll be able to afford the Dual Module Amp and and a couple of the really good Modules . I love this Video you put together . Top notch as usual . Wow... That sound with the Strat single coil is awesome!
Great demo. I had the Randall RM4 and 50/50 power amp. It was my favorite amp ever, but... that 50/50 power amp weighed like 70 lbs and the modules cost adds up fast and they aren't cheap. Nice as the Synergy product is, it will remain #2 behind the Axe Fx Iii for my money, ears and back.

Dude, you've been using that baritone a lot recently so I went and bought a new set of heavy ass strings and a nut blank to repurpose an existing guitar as a pseudo baritone. I need that in my life.

Sounds fantastic! I had one of the Pittbull super 30s in the mid 2000s. That was a beast of an amp that only set me back ~$1000 new. Amazing value and I gig'ed with it for years. It's really cool that Synergy is keeping a lot of these circuits alive.
Baratone guitars need to be used more. That’s an interesting deep growl. Nice tone and I want your sig guitar in white.

does the presence control do much? i just got mine and i can barely hear any change sweeping through the presence dial. also does that little led in the middle of eq section light up? mine doesnt. trying to figure out if i need to return the module.

That sounds really great! What was the signal path coming out of the preamp?
Just into their power amp, into a Marshall cab with old 25's and mic'd with a 57/ST170 ribbon mic
Wonder if they're going to come out with a CLX module. My 2000 clx has been my main amp since I bought it new and it still kicks ass.
This would be a CLX as well. Only difference is the power section between an Ultralead and a CLX.
@@Skoora There's a bit of a difference re: the phase inverter on the amp, dunno if it would translate to the module.

IIRC the phase inverter is technically a part of the power section.

Hi Pete. I wonder if you or anyone here can give me some advice on using the blend feature on the BAE 1073mp? I was going to get mine modded with the Steve Stevens Mod when BAE told me that there is a drop of 25dB when using the blend output. When you used it with the blend output, did you need to boost the signal after coming out of the 1073? or did you find that it was fine even with the loss of gain?
I'd really appreciate any advice on this if anyone can help. Another option I was looking at was to get the radial mix 2:1 instead.
Yes that’s true there is a drop and then I just up the level again with another pre.
I usually do this with a UA pre, in UA console. Sounds fine but it would be cool if they could just put another line amp or something on there to up the gain
