A great Comparison Module Video would be the Herbert vs the Ecstasy module!! My dream Synergy Rig would be 2 SYN-2 rack modules with the T/DLX, Vai Module and Bogner Ecstasy and Uberschall Modules!! But then again, My 101B and 20th Anniversary XTC's Have replaced all of my Mark series Recto JCM 800 heads and Marshall Rack gear preamp and power amps!

It's a little squishier and "bloomy" than the VH4 IMO. I should demo them side by side!

This module seems to love humbuckers. There were a couple of nice sounds from the strat, which looks gorgeous with the arctic white body IMO. I wonder how thick and chunky you can get this module to go, Leon? It does have a nice open top end, but can it do the rolled-off, mid chunka chunka?

Also how well does the PEQ trick in the Axe FX approximate the mid cut?

I've got a Herbert and there 's a lot of missing thinks in this module... Herbert are agressive loud and the scoop on mid are more brutal and Pantera'like and the high end are more open... maybe that's the power amp who s in 6xkt77? thanks for the video
big downer here is that the diezel powersection is missing what makes a huge part of the diezel sound, the syn 50/50 is much too weak, so those modules will not deliver the huge trademark sound, i solved this problem with pairing the syn 2 with a mighty mesa 395, new universe of sound now!! but sold the VH4 module, it sounds just dull to me, waited for the herbert also.
I don't think I'd get along with this module. It's a bit squishy for me and I didn't get the feeling that the mid cut was as useful as on the herbert pedal or amp. Obviously I could get useable tones with an OD, but I think other modules do what I wanna do better. Also why did they just add one control for the mid cut when the pedal and amp have both frequency and depth? I think it would be better with a shared frequency and depth control rather than individual depth controls per channel.
Sounds great but not really like a Herbert. Herbert is one of the most unique sounding high gain amps to my ears.
Probably because of the huge power section in the real amp…
Hey Leon, I'm thinking about getting an AxeFX III and possibly selling my Mark V. Do you think the AxeFX Mark sounds are good enough to replace a real one? I notice you don't really play your IV on here any more. Just curious if the AxeFx is able to really scratch that itch.
Love the IV but the Fractal models are soooooo good.

the syn 50/50 is much too weak to keep up with a real diezel poweramp section, pair this with a mesa 2:90, 395 or something bigger and you will have a new universe of sounds with all of the modules

Honestly I find it highly unimpressive. Maybe 20 years, but nowadays, no. It sounds ok, but not even stellar tone. Sweetwater Music is asking $399 for it. I can't see it worth it. I always enjoy your videos though Leon.
