As I've done 6 of the modules, would you guys like me to demo the other currently available 8 modules?
Yes sir! Thank you sir! May I have another?
Please do man! By the way, love the riff you played on all the amps
Do it!
Yes please
Do you follow me?...
The SLO model sounds so freakin good
Whew the Freidman HBE and Soldano channel 2s were bloody good.
Damn i'm glad I found you! So nice to hear some modernish riffs instead of the same old tired 00's metalcore or thrash riffs.
Dude it's really a joy to watch you playing, thanks for these videos.
Our God emperor John Browne flauting his prowess to us plebs. What a sight to behold
I really liked Soldano and Friedman modules. They are very agressive sounding!
This video sold me on the Synergy SYN2. I ended up going with the BE and SLO Module and a BMAN for cleans. Absolutely killer gear
My to three sounds were red channel on VH4, red channel on BE and blue channel on HBE. I always liked VH4 and this module sounds really good. Friedman BE and HBE are some of my favourite amplifiers and they delivered killer sounds in those two modules. And everything got carried by your riffs.
Thanks for great video, John!
"Sounds great!"
- John Browne
I really loved the Diezel one
That riff is so badass. Tuned to DADGAD?
Is it? I was trying to figure it out.
drop c#
These sound great!!! Makes me think about selling my Mesa Rectoverb and Mark V 25's but I don't think i'm ready for that yet hahaha Maybe some day. Awesome video as always man!
Great insight into some fabulous sounding gear John! Many thanks for sharing! Some nasty riffs in there too.... love it!! 👍🏻
These sound amazing! Especially the Friedman ones. Awesome video dude
I’m not a metal guy but I really enjoyed your demo anyway man. You got a great sound with all of them. Huge thumbs up from me.
Awesome video John! Hope you're well brother
best synergy review so far
Man John you are obtaining quite the collection of gear. I don’t see how you ever get out of the studio for fresh air and social interaction lol. I have only a fraction of that and I’m always trying to get back in my little home studio.
Great demo as always! 👍🏻 FYI, both channels on the Friedman modules are the same, so it just depends on how you set them if you want low/high gain. I had the HBE, but I prefer the SLO. I'm really wanting to try the VH4.
Love your content as always man!!
Great Sound and video and playing John :)
The soldano sounds soo good
Cool toys, great vid dude!
I was thinking I'll probably like soldano or diezel, but the very first moment the friedman started at 11:45 I was like this is it!
The riff at 4:00 could easly be AGARTHIAN pt.2. love it
Lots of awesome!
Not made by, but rather designed by each manufacturer. Made by synergy at Boutique Amp Distribution in L.A.
Sounds *awesome*!
I'm hoping for some "mesa"-ish preamps one day. (RIP Triaxis)
Check salvationaudio.com the have very intersting modules which sound even beter than originals
I am aware from the MTS days… just want something official that wont cost an extra arm and/or leg.
When they make a Herbert module, I will buy.
A Wizard module wouldn't be bad either!
Are you working on a new flux conduct album?
Amazing as always 🔥 can you do a review of the horizon devices apex preamp?
"Sounds great!" BROWNE, John (2019)
Yeah. Its flubby because you have the Sag cranked.
It's hard to tell what a preamp sounds like when everything is "chunk chunk"...
Can the preamps work with other power amps? For example, an ENGL E840/50? Think it would enrich the sound with a more intense power amp? Excellent tones here. Nice demo.
Wow! The Soldano sounds like it has a built-in Boss HM2 in it. Sounds awesome! 💖
hi John, wow awesome gear, soldano sound great, a question outside the amps
, your p90 are from the custom shop?, is there the possibility of your signature guitar with more accessible price? ty
yaaaaa- notification Squad
do the Savage!
I own the SLO and the Diezel, among others but when you play them, it all sounds the same.
I’m only a little sad you didn’t get the crystal clear clean sound I wanted to hear out of the Morgan. Just a little.
The Morgan is an AC30 preamp style and can certainly be quite clean if you wish.
BRUCE EGNATER I’m aware of this, I’m only giving Browne shit for not doing so.
4:05 what is the riff?
'Hey John thanks for another great video. When you play 6 string what tuning are you then using?
Usually DADGAD
anyone tried the preamps direct to Daw (power amp n cab sim)?
whats the tightest one in your opinion?
While I like that dirty deluxe sound, I still prefer Freidman
No boost here? Sounds like a bit of tubescreamer lowcut?
kimseniorb guitar straight in man!
John Browne damn thats great. I’m used to flubby amps

APEX PREAMP
DROP F PLEASE! :D
(Rabea's vid on running the Apex Pre straight into Kraken... DAT TONE! - I Wonder if here it'll do any good job...)
Seriously tho your playin is tight AF, sir.
I might have to sell some gear.....
FIRST YAAS
I had this system except in the 50 watt SYN50 head and all the high gain modules sounded so similar, cleans were ok, metroplex only sounded good with George’s settings, anything beyond that was yuck. Ended up returning the entire synergy system for a refund. Wanted to like love it but wasn’t worth the $$$$ in the slightest.
David Faustino are you insinuating you need a multi cab setup for each module? Lmao! To each it’s own, I tried it for 30 days through multiple Bogner 212 and 412 cabs, greenbacks, Vintage 30s, Creambacks and it’s was NOT worth the price paid. I even called synergy thinking maybe something was wrong. To be honest, it sounded a little better running the modules through either my Friedmans or Bogner’s efx return in as a power amp.

@Brent Pearcy I didn't try it but you are quite exactly describing the feeling I have gotten from all the demos I have watched. Very similar sounding modules of which none of them seem very inspiring at all. Just a lot of meh at a heavy tag. Maybe it's the power section that makes everything sound cold and unappealing but several standalone heads offer way more diversity than all these modules put together. I would take an Archon or 5150 with a few pedals over this any day.
Hmm. I noticed the same thing about the SLO and the Diezel, but I have an OS and a Savage as well and they sound vastly different. Demo's I've heard of the new Fryette and Bogner modules seem to sound quite different as well. I wonder if the earlier modules aren't as finely tuned as the newer ones maybe???
Sorry John but with the exception of the SLO and a bit of the Friedman stuff overall it was pathetic.
