Everyone who wants to move to Florida needs to spend a Summer in Florida first...
yep, its hell. The older I get the worse it effects me. When I was young it was no problem.
I went to Florida once in October and the heat was too much for me 🤣🤣
ahahaha, i am way ahead and lived in south of miami evwrglades and ecen denver in the winter..
Central Ohio has been like Florida most of this summer, except we've got the extra added attraction of drought
Fuck even a winter in Florida is shit. I landed in Orlando on Jnauaty 2nd and couldn't pull my sweatshirt off fast enough
Florida used to awesome - Very affordable and fun. Now it is VERY expensive and not so much fun.
Florida has always been a steaming, sweaty pit of mildew stench and grossly ignorant people.
Right. So STAY AWAY!
Yes. I was born and raised in Florida. I moved out in February 2020. It was the best move I ever made. I will never move back.
Laws and safety don't forget mother nature also
I'm dying to move out of this state 😅
Florida where the pay is low but the rent is high but at least you got sunshine all the time 😂
Might as well moved to California and not deal with the storms.
the pay is taxed less and get afternoon thunderstorms daily in the 6 months of summer😂
Nooo thanks
even the job market is a scam. must go through employment agency that takes half of pay,, FLORIDA IS 100% scam
Florida is made for retirement, most jobs revolve around it.
Do NOT move to Florida if you're gonna vote the same way that made your state disgusting.
Florida has a massive police state surveillance presence and it’s been red for a long time…not saying it should be different but you should think about that. They make you wait 3 days to pick up a firearm for no reason
Born and raised in Florida... Tampa used to be a small city 10 years ago. Then Brady moved here and brought a flood... then the Pandemic happened and brought more floods... our small roads are clogged with traffic 24/7 and the city can't keep up😂 The worst part is that our wages are still low, yet the cost or living skyrocketed in Hillsborough County!
I use to go hang out in Tampa all the time but that city and its people are 🗑️😥
@@Thechosen77 it's all the people from out of state that were FOMO'd into coming here. Now, nobody is happy, housing availability is slim, congestion on I275, I4 and I75 are horrible, and crime is rising in a way we've never seen before.
Graduated form USF in 1975
tampa is a nightmare hellscape lmao
I moved to Tampa in 2017 from Miami due to population and impossible rent. Now I gotta move somewhere else.
We're full. Dont come. Tired of my state being overun by outsiders who are trashing the place. Sincerely, 3rd generation Floridian.
Time to move
So many immigrants making parks look like a 3 worlds country now, I’m Hispanic myself but these immigrants make everything look like garbage now, my view in the causeway bridge in Sarasota use to be awesome, now it’s full of Hispanics that love free crap and none of them bother to learn English, honestly makes cities look like crap
The insane heat, humidity & overly aggressive cops trashed the place a long time ago.
This is the direction the whole country is heading. Right now it’s just the popular destinations being effected
Can puerto rico have a pass? Pr its just a younger cousin of florida

@@Priceyyyyywhat do you do?
Florida's climate is too humid to accommodate human life. You always need air conditioner, or perish!

People have adapted to live in FL prior to HVAC.

@@BrianK-zz4fk that was before massive amounts of trees were cut down. Florida used to have a lot more shade from the sun.
Homewoners insurance must be nuts there. I guess Jack is saying just rent there.
Everyone is gonna move there and ruin Florida too 😂
Already there. Third world hell hole. Traffic nightmare and that will only get worse. Developers have always run the state.
@@Orlando_Steve Sounds about right. 😂 People yap online about how great somewhere is to move and then everyone moves there and it’s ruined in a few years. Same thing happened in Arizona.

Instead of moving to Florida and hating your life just move to LA and feel what real misery is. God I love LA!

I live in LA. LA is a filthy open air mental asylum.
So happy I don't live there anymore! Born and raised.

Because despite whatever excuse you have, the pay isn't enough to even afford rent.
pay is trash, glad I quit

I've always wanted to be involved for a long time but the volatility in the price has been very confusing to me. Although I have watched a lot of RUclips videos about it but I still find it hard to understand.
I just moved out of Florida. Ya'll can have it. There are so many people moving there it is unbearable over crowded. It sucks when a drive takes 20 minutes but if you miss the right time to get on the road it can take you 1 hour to take that drive! Forget about the Interstate! If there is a crash, you are stuck for hours. I lived 12 miles East of Tampa. Have fun! I am out!
I'm not a fan of hurricanes or humidity. I also like a feeling of 4 seasons so don't worry about me coming there.
Absolutely nobody cares and it’s sickening you think anyone would by posting your useless personal take.
Agree 💯
Yep. I just can’t deal with heat, humidity and palm trees pretending to be Christmas trees. That’s just all kinds of wrong.
Tell that to all the snowbirds I sold my rental properties to for double and triple 😂
Thank you one less to worry about
No one in FL is hiring, that’s one of the biggest problems. At least here in Central FL. Everyone had help wanted signs, but no business are actually hiring, especially if they think you’re overqualified because they dont want to pay you more. Since I moved here almost 5 years ago, the cost if houses doubled and tripled, even these little 2-3 room trailers. They used to be like 30-40k when I came down, was working to save for one, now they’re going for like 120k and thats not including the 50-60k you’d need to fix em up to make em livable. Im around the Ocala area.
i mean to be fair, houses everywhere have double and tripled lol
But we're talking mobile homes. The area he is describing is VERY low paying..@@HumanOptimization
@@HumanOptimization yeah, IK, but for what they are, they’re way overpriced in the condition a lot of em are in. Idk many people who would spend around 100k for a 4 room house with rotted floors, mold, no plumbing, caved in roof lmao i mean if a lot of em were actually livable, it would be in line with the rest of the country, but these things honestly should be condemned.
@-whiskey-4134 the sad part is that living in a friggin trailer is too expensive now 🤣
Florida is a nice place to visit but living there would not be for me.
Orlando is becoming Miami 2.0. If you “don speak ah Spanih” then don’t bother moving here at all unless you want to live in the hood.
Jack - I grew up in Fort Lauderdale, lived in Orlando and went to High school and college around UCF in 2008, moved to Fort Myers. There is no good jobs, I worked and have worked for Mom and pops only to be disatisfied. The only way to do it is have your own business or side hustle
The problem with Florida the heat the low pay the crime !!
And the New Yorkers
You may think it's awesome but I was born and raised in Florida. You're right about the nice beaches but that's it. People ruined the experience.
💯
Its true.. Florida officials would be smart to put a limit on how many residents they can house due to its geography and natural preservations.
The beaches aren't even nice anymore since all the Spanish come here and throw garbage all over. I went to the beach yesterday and for the first time in 24 years I cut my foot open on a glass Modelo bottle.

If you like looking at fake everything, walls/gates, and changing your clothes 3 times a day Florida is right for you. Oh and never ending maintenance on everything
I wouldn’t say Tennessee and North Carolina are places nobody wants to live. I moved to NC from FL and it’s booming up here. All I see is FL plates everywhere. Floridians are leaving in droves to get cooler weather, seasons and lower cost of living. In my opinion all FL has to offer is beaches and amusement parks. The state itself doesn’t have much natural beauty it’s just one large swamp.
Not to mention Florida metros has a smaller middle class than many other areas. The state is full of haves and have nots, even more so than a lot of other states.
Florida has a shit ton of natural beauty. It doesn't have mountains but mountains aren't all that's beautiful. I've spent many of nights in the swamps of Florida, the woods of Florida, Rivers, lakes, islands, etc. It has extremely beautiful places. There are places in Florida the majority of people don't know exist and I'm glad they don't. To each their own but I always say don't move to a place if your not going to get into what it has. If your in Colorado it's hiking camping, mountain biking, skiing ect. Here it's watersports. If you don't have a boat, or jetskis your doing it wrong.
@@adamtedder1012 Everyone is subject to their own opinions. I know FL has natural beauty I lived there for 26 years. In my personal opinion mountains are way more beautiful than swamps and beaches. I live in NC now we have beaches, swamps, rolling hills, mountains, lakes, rivers etc. FL is not an ugly state by any stretch of the imagination but North Carolina is far superior in terms of natural beauty and climate over Florida. But that’s my opinion of course.
@@dapperdino1996 I lived in NC briefly and love it up there. I just don't like that kind of Winter, and it's not located in a good location for my year round boating lifestyle. Florida is only cool when it was cheap. Now its california prices with EXTREME HEAT and crazy bugs.
As a person who grew up wanting to live in FL, as an adult I’m able to realize that FL has many negatives that many transients seem to shrug off. Some things to consider low wages, over development, high rents, high vehicular/home insurance, bugs, wait times for services can take a long time and so much more. I’m from Virginia originally while I did live in FL off and on one thing is for sure either you can tolerate/afford FL or not. Lastly if you do move to FL or anywhere for that matter make sure that your finances are solid.
I would never move to Florida. High insurance, high property tax, crime, hurricanes, humidity, alligators, no thanks.

I know someone who moved below Sarasota from NC a few weeks ago and I think the hurricane flooded him out. I bet he wished he had never moved.
Man I know so many people who fled to Sarasota during Covid and are now getting out because their retirement isn't going with the HOAs, Insurance and taxes. All have tripled in less than 3 years! Also most are flooded out and insurance is not paying. That means they have nothing but demolish the houses and sell the land for cheap because it is now considered a flood zone.

I live in Tampa and work in the construction industry. I will tell you with extreme certainty that multi-family units and luxury high rise condos will be popping up everywhere. Especially in South Florida.
New York is the top state of origin for people moving to Tampa, Miami, and Orlando. 58.49% of Florida residents were born in New York.

No wonder Florida is going downhill
And Massachusetts! I live in Volusia County, Daytona Beach area and it seems like every other person is from Mass. no matter where I go.
We lived in south Florida for a few years. We left for a different state, also on the coast. I hesitate to name it, for fear others will come here. It's paradise right now. Just know. There are better places than Florida for that lifestyle.

I like Florida. Im used to the heat having lived in a state with hot summers. If you can’t handle hot summers with the miracle of air conditioning then I don’t know what to tell you. Stay where you are.
What you need to know is you’re moving to The South. The Southeast in general are low wage states. If you can manage to square that with the rapidly increasing cost of living and HIGH insurance costs, you’ll be ok. If not you’ll regret living here because you won’t be able to afford anything.
Bringing your money here from other states helps. Having in demand skills helps. If you lack either advantage then you’re just getting by…at best. You won’t be living the lifestyle you see others living.
Gee whiz. I've been hearing on YT that many can't afford living in Florida because of property taxes, condo fees, insurance, etc., and they're moving away.
Florida 20-30 years ago was a great place that live. Now, it’s infested and expensive.
Lived in Tampa most of my adult life. Had a solid childhood. I prefer never to return. It's just too crowded. The growth began in the 80's. I didn't leave until 2011. Saw a lot of changes and didn't like what I was seeing happen to the city of my birth.

Sarasota has been the same way. Moved here about 7 years ago. The developers are relentless and I get it now as years go by as places get over ran by overdevelopment which does not keep up with the demand on water shed needs. We had a tropical storm go through here a month ago and the water literally came up to my garage door. Year ago it was hurricane Ian which dumped even more rain and had 140 mph winds. The streets never flooded. Sweep it under the rug and call it a 100 year storm. Watch it repeat in 2-3 years if not 2-3 months. After an area flooded from overdevelopment which hasn’t happened in the 30 years of its existence the county passed a 6500 home development. And it’s literally 2 miles away. The state of Florida will most definitely eventually go the California way i see it before my own eyes. I’ll kick back and watch the next dream chaser buy my home for 5x the price in 4-5 years and heading back north. It’s getting old wondering if you’ll lose everything this year or not.
