@@FlippingdrawersJust imagine all the stories this dresser could tell! Maybe it once spent 17 years in a warehouse, used by a clerk for papers and hiding liquor bottles for on the job sips or a housewife in a 9th floor apartment between 1926-1951...

@@Flippingdrawers If U have same issue again, try applying the stripper (generous layer over the surface) then cover tightly with cellophane/plastic kitchen wrap. Let sit one hour and test. Covering the stripper allows it to bake thru thick veneer and saves loads of sanding on old pieces. Hope this helps ;) cheers !

I’m also quite impressed that you did the inside. Of all the furniture artists that I’ve watch - you are the ONLY one that refinished the inside. Clever use of slats from the blinds. The before and after photos show your attention to detail in recreating a wonderful piece of furniture.

My mother had one like this in early 1970s. I love the restyling and updating without compromising all it's curves. It is my new favourite 😍

I don't know how I missed this one, Jay. Thank goodness it showed up in my feed today. This is beautiful! The use of the blinds and your choice of aging them is a mind blown moment. Thanks for always sharing your talent. 💕
