Are you friggin kidding me??! How are you such an amazing designer & visionary & craftsman as a hobbyist??? Mind blown 🤯 and impressed is an understatement! Bravo!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Ha ha thank you 🙏
Imagination, creativity, audacity merci
Wow! Your level of patience is amazing!
Unbelievable, Jay!
You took quite an unremarkable piece of furniture and turned it into a very distinctive MCM desk. I love the black alligator texture against the brushed brass (chef's kiss 💋)!
Well done!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Wow, very mid century modern! Turned out well!
This is freaking awesome! also, for someone that's never worked with resin before you did a fantastic job. I really like how you challenge yourself to try and learn new things with each project!
PS: good luck house moving!
Thank you so much! Will post some RUclips stories of the move
You have taken a very ordinary desk and made it extraordinary. Wow ❤
hi my name is JOSE and i live in us just letting you know i refinish furniture i wash your videos in the morning and you motivate me so thank you and GODBLESS
You get an A+ for creativity!
You can read my mind. Seriously, you answered every question I had in my head as the video progressed. I love the top, I'd like it on a big coffee or dining table top. Thanks for sharing. As always, you've done a great job. Stay well.
Glad it was helpful!
ONE word for this piece, ok. 'STUNNING'. Thanks for the privilege of watching a 'Master' at work. Cheers, Don from South Australia.
Your desk turned out pretty awesome, you do have a great imagination. And I'm glad that you are moving a place that has a proper workshop for you😍🙋🏼🇺🇸
Thank you ☺️
This was an amazing transformation, great job!
You're at the TOP of this game...outrageous talent! God Bless!
You are very kind
What a great transition!!! Glad to hear you’ll be having a workshop.
Stunning...so unique with great finishing touches...what really good design idea for a piece that was knackered...wow! I think the desk is totally new now...it has a whole new era of design...go, busy man!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️😍😍😍😍😇😇😇😇
Thank you Juanita 🥰
Congratulations on your move. Your hard work is paying off. So pleased for you that you'll have a workshop.
Thank you Diane. ❤️
What a impeccable job you created. You are not only a Master Carpenter but you are also a Master Artist! Not many people can get a grand applause, but two Masters into a treasure for everybody to enjoy!!
thank you ;-)
Jay, this turned out A M A Z I N G!!! I’m so excited you did the Shou Sugi Ban!! My husband has made several pieces (keepsake gift boxes for our daughter’s bridesmaids and a few desks). He likes it so much (he’s the woodworking hobbyist) that I bought him a flame thrower (it’s a gun that you connect to a propane tank) for doing big desks and doors (like sliding barn doors for bedrooms). I’ll have to send you a couple of pics of the boxes and the best desk he’s done yet, it’s a wall mounted one in our son’s room. But this technique is a lot of fun, especially with different woods and how little or much burn you put on them.
And then the epoxy pour was awesome!! It turned out so cool!! I also like that you did a clean pour over the entire top, it’s much more durable than pine for a desk top.
Congrats on 30k subscribers and getting a new place!! So glad you’re going to have a proper wood shop (vs out in the elements and your living/dining room). Stay safe and look forward to new projects in your new shop!💜🇺🇦
Thank you so much Ashley ❤️ that’s super cool that you have a creative husband. I think that people don’t appreciate Shou Sugi Ban enough. Have a great week!
I'm normally not a fan of the burnt wood finish but this one works. Again a good job.
A real change! A work of art. Epoxy isn't easy to use at first, but you did a great job with it! 👏👏👏👏👏
Oh this was fantastic to watch! I'm a huge fan of that Japanese burning technique... love this!! The stitching was next level. Brilliant
Thank you ☺️
That is super cool! The brass stitches really add a lot of interest to the top. I'm wildly impressed that you poured the resin into the crack without getting any on the desktop! 😀
Ha ha thank you
What??? Fantastic outcome, that is a perfect desk for me here in Las Vegas ♥️
🥰🤗
trippy ~ the courage to create is strong within you ~ inspiring & encouraging example ~ thanks for sharing
How wonderfully creative! Very nice!
The light was a real surprise! I like the effects you added very much. Personally I do not care for rounded edges but that’s just me-I think a flush edge is more modern looking. Congratulations and best wishes on your upcoming move.
Congrats on getting a larger workspace, and on reaching 30K subs! I hope we continue to keep an eye on Mr. Warrior in the background. Cheers from Oklahoma!
🥰🙏❤️
OMG or should I say OMJay! So love that youtube somehow dropped you on my virtual doorstep. Watched your more recent work before this Gem caught my eye. The video editing might have changed overtime but the heart of the artist... that burns in you my friend and keeps us all coming for more.
It's beautiful--and I love how much you enjoy your work and have fun with it.
I couldn't imagine what you were doing to the top...it's quite brilliant.
I love that you did something a bit different and had fun with it. I really like it
Thank you 🙏
This was experiment really paid off. Unique. And you learned so much.
Set my Reminder! Can't wait to see this my friend! Barry
Always great to chat with everyone. Jay FANTASTIC job Bud👍🙏
Thanks Barry😉 it was a journey 😂 I learned a lot
That is really cool. Like I said before you are not afraid to try new things. Keep it up.😊
I like that burned wood structure. Looks great.
The magician is at it again. That’s my name for you, the Magician. I can’t even fathom thinking this stuff up, let alone doing it. I couldn’t figure out where you were going with this, the holes around the crack had me intrigued the entire time. The light is amazing. Didn’t see that coming. Best of luck on your move. I’m sure working in an alley, wasn’t ideal.
It wasn’t lol I’m super excited and thank you 🙏
Wow! Thanks for sharing your experimentation. It really helps your viewers!
You’re very welcome 😉
This was a great teaching exercise. I want to purchase such a desk and shorten it for a sewing machine.
OMG The finish on the top/ the light is just so amazing.
Thank you
That is crazy cool! I really like the way you burnt it. And I’m very glad that you replaced the legs it gives at such a personality! Take care!
Thank you 🙏
The light was the icing on the cake!! Sneaky, like you trying new things makes us wait for what you will try next.
Thanks Glenda 🥰 this was a great learning experience for me. Have a few ideas for future projects
Another amazing piece! I love your creativity! Congratulations on your new home and work space. I am trying to have a workshop built in my yard. Lesson learned never buy a house without a workshop or garage.😊
Thank you. I guess building a shop is a good DiY project lol
Interesting. I like that you challenge yourself with unfamiliar styles.
Glad you're back 👍
When designers say make your home reflect you...master furniture rehab

I just saw this, beautiful! Please don't stop experimenting, it's what I love to do and it's a lot more fun!! Love your videos!
Fabulous. Utterly magnificent.
That is absolutely stunning! What a wild transformation.
Thanks 😊
Sooooo cool! I love the stitch effect in particular but it's all gorgeous. Changing the legs was a brilliant decision, it changed the whole vibe of the piece. Delighted you will have a proper workshop, your skills will grow even faster!
Thank you ☺️
Absolutely brilliant man! You're so gifted!
The desk looks amazing.
You did a beautiful job with this being your first time playing with resin, 👍🙃😏👍 I'd be proud to own that desk❣
Patty, that’s very kind of you. Thank you
Extraordinary and brilliant. I’m still catching up with your videos and keep finding new ones - new to me anyway. What a treat, lots more to find I hope.
Awesome 🤩 thanks
Congrats on moving! This is gorgeous!! Absolutely love resin fills. You’re so creative!
Thank you 🙏
I always love it when you pick up the blowtorch! This is an amazing transformation. I have to agree with the alligator skin, especially with the epoxy and brass element on the top. I wouldn’t have been able to tell that this was a first attempt with either the brass wire or the epoxy if you hadn’t mentioned it in the narration.
Thanks so much!
What an incredible transformation. Love the gold wire over epoxy! lights are very cool. The burning technique is sure easier than stripping and scraping.
Thanks Mary 🥰🤗
Well jay, you’ve done it again. Beautiful work and I am more then impressed with the epoxy and brass stitching. Your skills are only getting better and better. Awesome job on this one.
Thanks mate. It wasn’t perfect but for my first time I’m happy with the result ✌️
@@Flippingdrawers I think it looks amazing. I want to try epoxy resin. I love the brass stitching.
OMG it's stunning. well done. I think from all the tubers I watch you finish everything properly. It's a real joy to watch. Thank you for amazing ideas. 😍
Much appreciated
Great idea. Thank you for using different techniques. It was interesting to see how you applied them. This is a project win!
Thank you 😊
What an imagination you have Jay 😮 now that’s unique. I love the lighting effect too, fabulous!
Thank you ;-)
WOW....just WOW!!!!!
Absolutely anything you do will come out perfect mr handsome!!!
Ha ha thanks
Wow that looks so modern!!
I love epoxy!!! I'm a poor mom. I went out and purchased furniture from garage sales and used epoxy. They came out beautiful ❤❤❤
Wow! That is so out there and beautiful. You are creative and talented.
Turned out fantastic! The resin on the top was pretty. Like a little pool of water. Great job!
🤗
A piece of art!
Congratulations on reaching 30,000 subs! What a cool piece. I love that you added a light. I’m looking forward to more videos in your new workshop.
❤️
I have a feeling were gonna see more of this in future pieces, just gorgeous 💐🇺🇦✌️
In some form , you’re probably right
You are so clean and meticulous,,,you are an artist,,,such work
You’re kind as always 🥰
Wow, love the look, Jay. Would really like to see and feel this desk in person.
Great transition, very impressive
Gotta admit I thought you'd lost your mind when you started cutting that giant hole in the top! But THEN...the epoxy was genius! Though I don't care for the wire stretched across it. That top is AMAZING! I wish you'd been able to do the same epoxy treatment to the rest of this piece. I believe it would have been exquisite! But all in all...for a first time you did a stellar job!
An interesting mix of textures, colours and styles. Congrats.
😊
congratulations on the 30K milestone. again Im impressed with your fearlessness for trying new ideas ,and stiching up the crack was brilliant
Thank you ☺️
Very creative! Love the burning effect
How absolutely stunning😻
Wasn't sure at first if I was going to like it but it came out damn good
That desk is amazing.
Thank you 😊
Congratulations on your move and especially getting a workshop!

That is so cool...very gothic!!!
I think deep down you really just like playing with fire 😉. Very handsome piece. Bravo.

Looks nice! Love the color of the blue/teal resin against the black of the wood! Congrats on the new place with a shop! Woohoo!
I know, how exciting 🤗 thank you
Well done thinking outside the box paid off
Thank you 😊
Excellent creation. I was worried when you cut the whole that you were making a big mistake but it turned out great. A big surprise for me.
Wow is all I can say. That turned out amazing.
Thanks ☺️
This is freakin awesome Carol Jay. You are a fantastic creator. Congratulations on your new place and your subscribers.
❤️ thank you
What a creative way to makeover a desk! Love this and the combination of the epoxy and the brass stitching is so cool. Great job!
