On this episode I'm making a third coffee table with melted Crayon inlay and epoxy over top for protection. I think this is the best version of a crayon table that I've made so far. Probably due to the fact that I've gotten better and more comfortable working with epoxy. Even though this is a fun, goofy project, there is still a lot of woodworking technique involved. Take away the crayon and this would just be a sort of Mid Century Modern inspired coffee table. Techniques include gluing up a wood top, working with complex angles, and more.

Love the table, and I have to add. . . that was the absolute smoothest, most natural transition into a sponsored ad I've ever seen. You deserve an award for that alone.
no smoother than my face, after shaving with my Dollar Shave Club Razors and a bottle of their Dr. Carver's Shave Butter ;)
John Lawson sorry but... I don”t think you got his attention. Everyone has a different sense of humor and I guess he didn’t have yours.
dollar shave club is garbage
Gillette and a dollar razor cuts better
Overpriced garbage and he knows it but it's ok to scam your viewers if you make money I guess.
I'm a filmmaker, and I have to say how beautifully edited and carefully crafted your videos are. The furniture is beautiful, as always, but I'm here for the videos themselves. You really have a great eye for timing, understand what content viewers need to see vs. what to explain more carefully. The animations are perfection, and I love that there's always a bit of humor tucked in. Altogether, this is something we don't normally see on RUclips, and raises the bar for all content creators. Thank you!
This is a valuable addition to my woodwork collection ruclips.net/user/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO I still will rate this woodwork plan as the best in my reference library. It always seem to stand out from the rest whenever you go through the library. This is a masterpiece.
1- table... love it
2 - video editing, content, music........love it
3 - I pay RUclips premium and still watch his commercial.... love it
Just luv this guy

The top looks great, with the color, geometric design, and high gloss finish. But I think my favorite part is the base with all the angles. Overall, great piece. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Seth...appreciate it! I kind of feel the same :)
The scrap bin tosses and faces are the most relatable thing I've seen in a long time
the Synergy between you an Shaun really adds to your channel.
Thanks Mark
This has given me some ideas for a project of my own ☺️
Also I'd like to say that one of the main reasons i chose to study carpentry was this channel and I'm not regretting the course i chose, so thanks, thanks for inspiring lil old me to become a carpenter 🤘
Making complicated projects (the legs) look so easy... man this stuff inspires.
I like how you are being you. Appreciate the humor. You’re the best at talking about sponsors, and your gratitude translates as authentic. Keep it up. Also, that animation and the ease ins and outs...
I love the table but mad respect on those basketball skills my guy. Drained every single one. ✊🏻
Hearing you wax-lyrical about a wax-rivertable has made my day.
You and Shaun working together was probably the best thing that happened to youtube woodworking videos this year.
11:12 at this point you see how good of a job you did, and so do we! the results before the final finishing is the tattle tale that whispers if u did good or not.
Love that Get Hands Dirty shirt shout out there...
He steady always have the sneaker game on lock when he recording these videos 😂😂
ObeyCity lmaoo i swear!
Lol. The critique at the end! 😂😂
Priceless ending. I learn so much from you guys, but the entertainment value is something I appreciate. Time to invest $ in your plans. You’ve earned it.
I love the angled base, I might use this idea in a future project. Thanks for the inspiration!
Recently discovered your channel over the last week and I have to say I really love the shots here where you're making shots of scrap wood into the waste bucket, there's just something so sincere, intimate, and human about it!
Love how you ended it. Two of my favorite guys to watch due to creativity in recording.
you too together will be a blast....even better...can't wait. Have fun and safe holidays...
Next- a table made of crayons with wood inlay.
Okay but when the piano started around 14:00 I legit got it confused with my sleeping playlist music I legit kept trying to pause it and figure it out 😂😂😂
What’s the song?
Hey Chris,
Awesome work as usual. Can't say how much I appreciate your videos. Artsy, smooth edits, quirky humor, good jams, and despite what Sean says, originality.
I can't remember exactly when the RUclips algorithm figured out I'd like your videos, but it did, and it was right. Nevertheless, I'm inspired by you to try my hand at making furniture. I have no idea how good, if at all, it'll turn out, but I figure why not. Seems like you and everyone else doing it is having a good time.
Thanks for answering my annoying questions on IG, I'm sure I'll have more in the future.
Merry Christmas to you and your family, and all the best in the New Year.
Eric
Hey Eric...thanks! Always happy to try to help. I can promise you'll have fun and feel rewarded, and as you go deeper, the outcomes will get better and better :)
Still great to fall asleep listening to, nearly everytime I do my sleep is quality, like these videos.
Thank you again Chris for the peaceful and relaxing videos 😊
Didn't even notice the sponsorship change till I rewarded it
Your best video just so happens to be the last of 2019.
Every video is the best
This is the first video of yours that I've seen and I'm absolutely blown away by the quality of editing, the finished product and even the ad. You have exactly the right amount of humor to keep it entertaining without venturing into comedy terrain. The Animation explaining the design was fantastic and the way you mention the tools you are using without interrupting the flow of the video or seeming like it's some kind of as was sooo smooth. I loved the video, great work!
It's so nice to see someone, making some very nice and exact pieces, that isn't sold out to festool!!!! Thank you Chris..... Thank you!
Haha... Shaun beating all the trolls to the comments! Great video as always. The table top was cool, but don’t sleep on the craftsmanship of that base! 63.4 degrees. Just like I planned it...
And how many will understand this.
Lol, I remember the rant about this on the podcast.
First video of 2019: crayon table
Last video of 2019: crayon table

Chris thank for all the great projects. You help keep it easy for those that are just starting off or still can't afford all those tools. Many blessings to you, your family and all your subscribers.
Excellent work, Chris. The monologue with Shawn 👌. I love that you two create great stuff and make no apologies about how you’re choosing to run your channel and decide your projects. Super refreshing-keep it up.
I looked it up: the plural of thickness is indeed thicknesses, even though I do admit it sounds weird.
Awesome video. I love the idea of melting the crayons.
Het Chris
I love this coffee table. The way you continued the lines through to the base. The angles on the contrasting legs. Mmnnn brilliant.
Keep up the good work.
Regards
Bon 👣
You've done it again, my guy. Multiple verbal wow moments from me while watching. Thanks for a great year of vids!
Buddy you just blew my mind. I was trying to build interesting cradles for my painting panels, using exotic colored wood and brass inlays. Panuka, Purple Heart, African Blackwood, Pink Cherry, Walnut. But this, this is what I have been looking for all along. My clients, and prospects, are always peeking on the back of my paintings to see how well it was made before they buy. Now I pass the test with an A+.
Awesome design ! A tip i've learned by watching a lot of epoxy tables videos is that once it is hardened, you can soft the excess with a heat gun and remove it with An old chisel , that will avoid lots of unnecessary sanding 😊
Love the table Chris!!! Quick tip--Festool makes a P24 grit in their Saphir line. The stuff is amazing; it rips through epoxy like tissue paper. Makes sanding off the excess epoxy so fast and easy!
MORE CRAYONS... more experimenting with epoxy... keep testing your ideas and seeing where it takes you love these videos..thank you
One of the best RUclips recommendations I've got this year, definitely top 3. Loved the ending!
That base is FIRE! Nice work Chris
Love the transition from color to black and white
9:05 that was a smooth transition right there
Honestly.. Your lil sponsored section in this video legit had me wanting to buy this to shave my face with and I'm a woman!! 😂🤣😂👌
Nice try. Jim told me all about how you been saying you're tired of waxing your upper lip and sideburns. Might as well give the razor a try
@@user-dn6qy1ou1f Comment comedy gold lmao 🤣👌
@@user-dn6qy1ou1f Don't worry I'm not one of those overly sensitive, offended by everything kind of mf's that was good 😂😂
I'm on the floor laughing... the closing was awesome and the table is exquisite. You have a great combination of beautiful wood designs, creative and funny presentation and plenty of fun. Keep this up and you'll have several million subscribers before too long.
NEVER STOP KILLING IT CHRIS!!!
You’re such a big kid.
I love it!
Love the way you always give light to other woodworkers by wearing their shirts.
Beautiful table, great music. Go Cubs!
This table is awesome. I plan to make something like this for my sister soon. This is as cool as the back side of the pillow. Great job.
I love your videos.
But most importantly when doing advertisments, you keep the video going about the build. Smart!
This. Is. Immaculate!! Great job!
the rich roll of woodworking....big fan
God damn, some of those shots were straight up cinema.
Beautiful table....and encaustic table! color is fabulous as is the finish. great ending...meatloaf!...spaghetti and gumballs!
Awesome build. Love the angles of the legs and the banter between you and Shaun.
As always, easy to watch, all your videos have a nice calm/ relaxed feel to them. Keep up the good work.
I would make this as a door, good idea?
Amazing video production! Of course, amazing demo too!
Crushed it or should I say “melted” it!! The quality of the builds, editing and interaction with Shaun are the best. Can’t wait to see what 2020 brings for your channel.
Thanks JW...appreciate it :)
@@Foureyes.Furniture More mid century modern please :)
Nice to see you wearing Christina’s Get Hands Dirty shirt. 😊👍🏼
Thanks, Chris (and Sean), loved this video. You're one of two RUclips creators (?) I "thumbs up" before even viewing your offering. We all need a smart-ass friend, it keeps us honest. And, there is nothing wrong with repetition, if it is done well. Anyway, at least you're not Jimmy or a Jimmy wannabe.
This table is so awesome!
Excellent build and the comedy is entertaining..... The scrapskeetball misses I'm talking about 😄. Seriously well done on your videos, I'm always excited to see a new Foureyes video in my feed
LOVED it!!! and the twist in the end! you ROCKED IT!!!! amazing man! congrats and may this year bring u even better and more!!!
Hey! Just wanted to thank you for your work and dedication. I made my first ever woodworking project because of your crayon/epoxy table and now I'm hooked. Have a wonderful time with your loved ones and I don't doubt that 2020 will be a good year for you! Cheers!
Thanks man...appreciate the kind words. That's really cool. Hoping 2020 is great as well
Well, 2020 was… memorable, at least
Nice video. I love the skits. Happy Holidays!
Loved the build, thanks!
ok that was the best dollar shave club ad transition i’ve seen yet
The color is so vivid and glows against the wood!
"Similarly bearded brethren"
Great line lol.
Love how the table turned out, and also really really enjoy the subtle dry humor throughout. 😆
I LOVE that table!!! The math was frightening; I just don't use that much geometry anymore & accessing those files in my brain is painful!!
Also, your video is edited so well! I can't help but flashback to my 20 years of teaching middle school watching boys trying to "make a basket" with whatever was trash at that moment!🗑 You are an energetic man in a boy mindset who is really smart & has a great beard!! 📐🗜🤓🧔
Cool build, Chris~! Love the angled legs...very unique~! Also, hilarious with the back and forth between you & Shaun. Keep practicing those free throws~!
Hilarious ending! Very cool projects, thanks for sharing.....and better luck with the hoop shots! 😂
I'm working on it
Fantastic build, and excellent video production. I was expecting a basketball/scrap bin joke at the end, but...... You go and make the best ending ever! Lol! Looking forward to more 2020 teamwork with you and Shaun.
Hi Chris. I've watched most (if not all your videos). First off, great work! Your video editing is also great, making your videos really enjoyable to watch. Keep it up!
This was a really nice build - the gradient turned out great
This is the first video of yours I have seen. The table is gorgeous! And man you are smart! All those angles and figuring out degrees. Someone was paying attention in math class! 😳📐📏
Freakin Fantastic Chris!! I mean it. What a way to finish out the year!! You and Shaun kill me together man!! Hoping all is well guys, Dirty Jersey out!!!
The table is cool and all but your editing is exquisite.
I envy those who can make such beautiful things
I thought the music was going to kick into the Mario 2 theme song for a moment.
I also appreciate how you never give up and keep on tossing wood :)
Great video, the ending was just freaking hilarious :-)
Love your projects!
Amazing table, great video! I love the way you shoot. Subscribed!
Chris, great concept and always enjoy your creativity - keep dreaming and creating - Happy Holidays! (To you
and Shaun)
Love the video! Congrats on 500K!
Thanks
Love that base!
Man, this video is hilarious! And it's not just the way of proficiency your're working, but those missed shots on the bin :D clearly not feels like a home court advantage.
Keep up the great work!
Hilarious ending! Love you!
Right back at ya Juda
you guys are really skilled.. love your style too
I love this!!!!!! a real book ending to the year
As a tool and die machinist I have respect for your builds even if it is wood lol. Awesome build and love how you do it right too.
wow that ad segue was next level
Sorprendente, está muy linda la idea ahora manos a la obra, gracias brother
love that starting song! great video
Your editing is really pleasant to watch!!!
Thickni is now the meme of this channel. This is now the official way to refer to plural thickness
Going for that urban dictionary entry :P
