I got this old cheap MDF buffet for free and gave it a dramatic makeover using natural oak wood and floor panels. In this video I explain how to use multiple power tools and show many tips and tricks that make DIY easier and safer.

That was an amazing transformation. I have been wracking my brain trying to come up with a plan to cover the front of some dated, ornate doors on a buffet. Now you have given me a great idea. I am happy to see that you kept the bell!

When you were talking about your new table saw not being a toy, you are absolutely right! In the stone age of the 1990s I used to work in a cabinet shop building windows and doors we used large chop saws, table routers and drills along with other powerful tools. We had to be well trained and conscious all day. No going off into daydreams while you're using those tools! While working there I cut the tip of my index finger off with a router and I witnessed a guy cut off his own thumb with a chop saw. Scary stuff 😐

Looking at the transformed cabinet you could never guess it is cheap mdf sh**t before. You are very creative. Since I have been binge watching you I am running out of creative ways of telling how well made you make landfill rubbish into wonderful pieces of furniture.

That is quite a transformation!!! Well done.
Brilliant use of this flooring. For your consideration: We used silicone glue sealant (using a chaulk gun) to seal/stick together and to stick onto our surface. No staples. To remove, 20 years later, a saw was required.
That has me completely blown away! It’s gorgeous, but it looked like a lot of work. Might have been easier to build from scratch! 😁

W O W!! Absolutely gorgeous transformation!! I hate dealing w/ MDF, but this is not only stunning, it’s also genius. Way to think outside the box AND using the wood floor planks instead of buying expensive pieces of oak.
Love your new toys (yes, safety first). The belt sander is a beast. My husband has one that was handed down (it’s a stable one, not a hand one) that’s over 40yrs old and we actually call it “the beast” lol. It weighs like 100lbs and is huge/klunky, but still works great. He made a couple of Tantos for Christmas gifts last year out of rare species of wood and it was much easier to do than a hand sander.
