This Mango buffet was made from old railway sleepers. The metal inlays and the knobs were made from a rail and as cool as it sounds it was in need of a modern makeover. I removed the skirting and the back and used the wood to make new doors. I sanded the entire buffet and gave it a coat of orange scented wax plus new modern metal legs. Mew brass pulls finished it off and it looks better than ever. Incredible wood grain enhanced by the nursing bees wax.

I've never seen a furniture piece made from mango wood. Absolutely beautiful! Someone's very lucky to own this piece.

Thank you for participating in this challenge. As I mentioned on Barry's site, I'm a 12-year breast cancer survivor and I appreciate you raising awareness of this disease. I discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago and love your work. I've also been really enjoying all of the challenges.

I could watch the wax application on the mango wood on repeat. So satisfying 😌 It's beautiful Karol!

If you ever come across another piece like this you should do doors on both sides to access from either side, w/ a fully open set of shelves down the center so to access or display items on either side, add legs to raise it up to Counter height for a kitchen island

Holy smokes! That wood grain came alive the second the wax hit it! Absolutely stunning piece of history. Thank you so much for another great video!

I never get tired of watching these beautiful restorations. The piece looks flawless without losing its integrity. Just such an amazing job 👏🏻 as usual. They seem to be be getting more daunting with each project and yet the result is just as beautiful.

This is such an outstanding piece. It has come a long way from it's beginnings. You did a beautiful job! Thank you for supporting breast cancer awareness 💖. I lost my mother to breast cancer and her mother had it, too. It runs very high in our family. A cause near to my heart, also. ❤

Karyl, my great grandfathers and grandfathers were railway and furniture workers, one built the engines and the other made furniture for one of the 'big' houses in North Yorkshire. The sleeper cabinet in my favourite colour was a joy to watch. Thank you.

That may be the prettiest wood I've ever seen, and the top almost looked like a cedar chest. Beautifully done!
