Which is the HEAVENS. Genesis literally says, God called the "firmament" HEAVEN! So, NO, it's not a HARD dome.
Firmament is a word created specifically for that verse. Since it has ZERO definition outside of scripture, we are forced to rely on God's WORD to define it; and right in the VERY first chapter of the Bible, He does define it as HEAVEN.
What's interesting is that heavens are almost infinitely vast, with Galaxies Sextillions of miles apart from each other. Nebula TRILLIONS of miles across and Quintillions of miles away from us, yet you FLERFS want to reduce that incomprehensible glorious creation into nothing more than a snow globe with a 24000-mile base.

No I considered this my whole life. I ask my mother when I was young if it was ok not to agree with my teachers theories. I prayed to Jesus and I gave him the problem of getting me into a good college.
I didn’t know how he’d do it.
I went out for track with a friend not my idea. Even though it never really liked running I hardly lost a race. Jesus not only got me into many prestigious colleges but he got me a full ride. God is great..

Just read Genesis 1 with a clean slate wanting to trust in Gods word as truth.
we can easily verify that the earth is a sphere. so reading any scripture is irrelevant.
When we do, we see that it doesn't comment on the shape of the planet. And forbids some of the arguments Flat-Earthers use. (Example, requiring birds to be of the expanse in the same way fish are of the sea, so the expanse includes the atmosphere and can't be a depthless solid-surface sky.)
Yes the earth is flat with a dome over it like Genesis says but also in Genesis the snake tells the truth and 'God' is the liar. 'God' said Adam and Eve would die is they ate from the tree and they didn't.

And not one single one of those scriptures addresses the shape of the earth... But good try
@@christiroseify Over 100 verses describe the shape of the Earth, Genesis 1 and Revelation 20 make it explicitly clear that the Earth is a stationary plain enclosed by a dome that holds water above.

First of all the gospels of Jesus places righteous people on top of the firmament (sea of glass) rev 15:2. You have to know where to go and who calls you up during the time of revelation.

It says we can't move the earth. Doesn't say the earth doesn't move. Even if it did. We know it moves. It's measurable. Observable. And no fe theory actually holds up under scrutiny.

All i know is, God's creation is absolutely amazing. I will never be in a position where i will be able to see it for myself. But, when the Lord calls us into the clouds to ever be with Him, i will try to remember to look back and finally know for sure. The only important thing anyone needs to know, is that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sin, and rose again the third day to give us eternal life with Him.
The shape of the earth is not a mystery. You don't have to wait for God to fly up into the clouds, there are airplanes you can get in. Only toddlers and idiots don't understand that the Earth is round. They knew it in the medieval period, and earlier.

If you're saved and get taken up to "meet Yahshua in the air," you'll be coming straight back to the new earth and new heavens.

Every common sense emperical experice you personally have had has only shown you a flat and level horizon. The onus is on globers to give me one good and emperical invincible reason to think I live on a ball, a ball where objects that disappear over a "curve" can be brought back into focus with a zoom lenz, a ball but where all observable water is level, a ball that no-one has ever circumnavigated north to south, a ball where no one is allowed to get close to or travel past the ice wall that encircles us, a ball of which we have no actual, real, authentic, unmanipulated picture, a ball that is now quickly becoming "oblong" and a "closed system" and where we have never gone back to the moon because "we lost the data". You can figure this out. You can know. Be courageous today when you are still outnumbered in the nose count, but tomorrow (10 to 15 years) flat earth will be as mainstream as creation.
Lets not get caught up in distractions. I have seen info on both sides. Its interesting to think about different things. BUT make no mistake, our salvation is in Jesus alone. Lets keep our eyes on Him.
When it comes to the map of Earth both sides use, they are identical... Yes, salvation is in our Savior, but flatearth is satanic deception that separates believers from Him.

Firmament is a mistranslation. In the expanse wouldn't be a problem for us if space is included in expanse (I think it is, but "in" also might be like our modern "in the sky"). And in Einsteinian physics, which AiG accepts, everything is at rest in its own reference frame in a sense.
For Joshua, would God need to demand that he speak in literal modern terms and from the sun's reference frame? Why? He's on the Earth. God didn't need to teach him cosmology to do what he prayed for, however he did. Also Glenn Miller has shown that more likely doesn't mean the length of daylight was longer than normal, but not shorter, which they thought it would be due to the storm (remember the hail?). Even if wrong, phenomenal language is normal in the Bible, so to argue based on that is circular reasoning. Like if we say it's raining cats and dogs, you run to the window and scream "WHERE?! I DON'T SEE NO CATS OR DOGS FALLING FROM THE SKY! I JUST SEE RAIN!"

The suns light passing through the firmament causes the light to slow down and separate into its elemental colours, that spectrum is then displayed on the rain that acts like a canvas....works much like a projector & screen. This doesn't work in FE with the sun being inside the dome.

If you want the color spectrum like a rainbow you will need a curved mirror. Outdoors we have the curved FIRMAMENT for that.

What does Faulkner say about water always finding it’s level when undisturbed? You cannot get water to curve over any curved surface…no experiment has ever shown that it’s possible.
Begs the question of whether gravity is attraction to mass. Basically your argument circularly assumes Flat-Eartherism to argue for Flat-Eartherism. If gravity attracts mass, just as we see it doing everywhere we can look (like wrapping Jupiter into a sphere with moons spinning around it, like Earth sphere with its moon), then water finding a level HAS to be "curved" around the spherical planet.
@@logicianbones gravity is a theory and not a very good one either. Gravity is responsible for holding trillions of tons of water against a centrifugal force of a spinning ball, and yet allows bugs, birds and seeds to float in the air.
Density and buoyancy and the electrostatic energy answers the questions of up and down, not the science fiction of gravity. As far as Jupiter and moons, those are lights in the firmament. No one has been or can go there to view them.
You're confusing the term "level" with "flat."
Read the comment above and then google some pictures Lake Pontchartrain Bridge which was built to the Earth's curve (most are too short to take curvature into account) and is clearly visible.

We see that water finds its own level and is flat. With 70 % of this place, we call earth, being water, makes the nature of earth the same "flat and level" with on the land being above sea "level." All the seas/oceans are connected, making them all level and exact to each other.

Isaiah used the word "circle" in ch. 40:22, but used the word "ball" in ch. 22:18.
Why do people always skip over that fact.

So the point @11:00 mark is not a very good disproof.
Because the word circle in 40:22 is used in a phrase "circle OF Earth" which can mean a flat disk or anything circular including a ball shape. A sphere is a three dimensional circle.
In 22:18 it reads "..and toss thee like a ball .." "Ball" here is a direct simile. Yes, He knows the difference, but man doesn't always get grammar correct.

A throne is a symbol of a king's or queen's authority, power, and claim to rule, and can also represent both divine and secular rule. A foot stool is a physical object. Earth is a physical place those who do believe in the FE it would make sense for it to be discibed as God's foot stool and not a ball.

Actually, I have a book which is based on Flat Earth theory proposed by leading Scientists as far back as 1800s. One of these scientists was the British Astronomer Royal [the Head Man so to speak]. So your contention that this is a very recent "phenomenon" is incorrect. In addition the arguments put forth in this book are very compelling. Just saying that perhaps a more objective approach would be more helpful if we are to get the the truth?

Faulkner has much about this in his book. You're talking about atmospheric refraction (from temperature inversion) which is fully explained. But you seem to maybe imply that binoculars change it, no they don't. But even if it wasn't fully explained, that wouldn't prove a flat Earth, which is already disproven many other ways. In fact, if you check written accounts of ancient cultures doing their own stargazing, you'd learn that one of the stars in the Little Dipper's bowl, Kochab, was closer to the northern pole. But as our solar system drifts, so do the constellations from our perspective. Thus, the Little Dipper moved such that the tip of the handle, Polaris, was the new pole star.

And it isn't. God created the Universe over 4 days ... starting day 1 with an empty Universe & Earth .. and then a bright Light .. that completely surrounding the Earth. Over four days the bright light darkened and forced the stars in the space of the Universe ... and then God created the Sun, moon and rest of the Solar System ... and put Earth into its orbit ... producing a 24 hour day and a year.

Here's an easy way you can test the 'flatness' of water for yourself without anyone else's help (which will spare you the embarrassment of having someone else present when your folly is exposed). Simply go to any body of water that is at least 2mi (3.2km) wide anywhere on earth on a calm night and position a bright torch or laser 8in (20cm) above the waterline on one shore, pointed towards the opposite shore. Now, go to the opposite shore, to where the light is pointed. If the earth is flat, you should be able to see the light from your torch or laser right down to the waterline. If the earth is curved, you won't be able to see that same light from less than 8in (20cm) above the waterline at a 2mi (3.2km) distance. The latter is what you will find, because even the water level follows the curve of the earth - which works out to 8in (20cm) per 1mi (1.6km).

But then the sun is 400 times bigger than the moon, and 400 times further away than the moon and that's how we get an eclipse because they're both the perfect size. But if the path is an oval, the size of the sun in our sky would change throughout the year. Also, how could the sun be 400 times bigger than the moon, but millions of times the size of the earth at the same time? Isn't the moon smaller than the earth? That math ain't mathing
The distance throughout the orbit doesn't change to matter significantly. It's still enough to roughly cover the Sun.
No, the Earth can *fit* inside the Sun millions of times, that's a different measure to size. The size we are talking about in one case is 2 dimensions, and 3 dimensions in the other.

The variation in distance is not significant. It's close to a circle but certainly not a circle... sometimes the moon might not cover the whole sun. This is called an anular eclipse. The moon is slightly further from the earth and appears slightly smaller.

And we know that you can see Chicago 100 miles out from Lake Michigan from point A to point B. So when you stand on the Michigan side, it should be impossible to see the city of Chicago. Chicago at this point should be 65 miles down and you should not be able to see Chicago so proves your curvature of the earth wrong.

The story of Noah's ark proves the earth is a sphere. The earth was flooded till every mountain was covered with water. Given that the highest points of the earth were covered with water, the ark would have floated off the edge of the earth if it were flat. But the ark did not go off of any edge, therefore the earth has no edge. Therefore the earth is not flat.

I think this is part of a longer presentation by this gentleman. I have no idea how to deal with this though. we just had a couple selenelion eclipses this past decade where both the sun and moon are visible above the horizon during the lunar eclipse so we know for a 100% fact that the earths shadow does not cause a lunar eclipse.

Personally, I have no choice but to read God's word as is! The firmament was created to divide the waters above and the waters below. Day light is not the same as sunlight, just as Genesis stated. Light was created in Day 1 but the sun, moon, and stars in Day 4. Furthermore, plants were created in Day 3, BEFORE the sun!
I have nothing against people that hold on to the ideologies taught to us since birth, all I'm trying to do is to point people to the true God and what He has ACTUALLY created. AiG is a fantastic resource for so many topics, except Biblical cosmology. We really need to stand on the word of God to explain our earth. I am surprised since AiG is correct about so many things that this huge error would not be plainly obvious to them. You have to use the scriptures as the basis for Biblical cosmology, but AiG tries to piecemeal the parts of secular astronomy they are comfortable with into their worldview. God's word says the opposite of the heliocentric model. the sun moves. earth does not move. don't be afraid of those scriptures go back and read them again because they are there for a purpose. God didn't accidentally let them slip into the Bible. they are intentional. The reason this movement is growing is because the blinders are being lifted by the will of God. It is encouraging to see so many believers in the comment section who have had their eyes opened to Biblical cosmology. In fact from what I can see there are more for Biblical Cosmology than against it in the comments. Praise God!!! I pray the AiG team will have their eyes opened to the truth as well so they will stand boldly on God's word rather than trying to fit secular ideas into a Christian worldview. I also pray that Danny Faulkner would be humble to receive correction from The Almighty even though his entire career has been unintentionally chasing after a deception. Dear Flat Earthers:
Take a long exposure picture or a series of pictures of the night sky from both the north and south hemispheres. If you face the camera East both times, you'll have the stars appear to spiral around Polaris on your left when you're in the Northern Hemisphere and you'll have the stars appear to spiral around Sigma Octantis on your right in the Southern Hemisphere. If Earth is a globe spinning in space, this is how it will appear. If it is flat, you will not see any spiraling on your right in the Southern Hemisphere because the sky would appear to spin in the same direction relative to the ground as in the Northern Hemisphere. I have never been anywhere in the Southern Hemisphere, so I've never had the chance to do it, but I don't recall ever hearing about a Flat Earther from Australia or New Zealand.

I'm a "flat earther" from Australia, so I suppose there is a first for everything :) I don't understand why Australia and NZ can't exist on a FE, people that think like this haven't really looked into the cosmology behind the concept, FE is stationary as well, what's outside of the firmament is waters like it's described in Genesis.
What that shows is the firmament, if it was a ball spinning through space you would have streaks across the sky and not circles after the long exposure, it always points towards the cardinal north, and the stars are fixed in their positions, no amount of observation shows the stars moving unless it's the planets or "wandering stars" as they used to be called.
If astronomy is truly the world's oldest form of science, then why did it take Catholics so long to come up with the big bang theory for example? In the late 1800s no less, out of the thousands of years of observing the sky.. not one person ever postulated the idea of the big bang?
Are you saying stars on a level earth could not appear to spin two different directions? Did you know that if you have a Clock with a transparent face in front of you it will look like it’s going clockwise and if you move it straight behind you and look back at it it will look counterclockwise? The clock handles are still moving the same direction either way you look at it, while you stand on a level floor.

It can be done for the southern direction even in most latitudes of the north too. We'll still see the curves of the circles around an area below the horizon. In another thread here I include more detail of a way to do this without even the need for any camera or anything, just eyeballs. We just won't see the lower ends of that circle.
@@ceedee873 That's the OLD Flat-Earth model that even most modern Flat-Earthers have been forced to admit is debunked, that had a spherical solid sky around a flat circle with the sun going below the flat circle, and north was to be a point on one end of the flat circle and south the opposite end, with a stellar north and south too. New model has no stellar south and puts north in the middle of the flat circle. The latter is the model this video is addressing.

To perceive in the spirit is where we will see further. The Father will show us great and mighty things we do not know. You might come by a portion of these now and have to wait for your glorified body for others. Our 5 senses are attached to our carnal mind. We can see for but a short distance. The perception of space, planets and motion and calculations is still thought centered and man based, in that we form our ideas from the mind, will and emotions and conditionings of those who are against God ( some wittingly and others blinded ). Father will gift us accordingly as He sees fit. I think He is revealing this to more now, than before and is meant to refine us. When you see something Father has shown you and deal with the blinded by this world, how will we act? With Love? With scorn? The dividing of Truth and open warfare is here now. There are problems in both flat and round understandings that are centered around using the 5 senses to arrive at the best conclusion.
Father is saying "come up here..."
Perfection is found in heavenly places and in Spirit and Truth.
This debate is testing / refining / separating and those who say this is a secondary or non salvation issue are correct. Some people will not surrender to Father and His Word no matter what. In these instances, this debate uncovers a symptom of a larger issue and that may well be a salvation issue. Pride is separate and apart from God / YHWH.
In these final perilous moments with many deceptions and strong delusions, the mind of man is deadly. Serving men above God, caring more for man's ways than God, other idols may be life ending. Jesus is THE answer. Jesus is Reality.
Separation of church and state, works in reverse also. There is one authority whom you could ask in prayer.

Looking into flat earth allowed God to open my eyes to his creation. What I was taught was evolution from monkeys and we're just a random ball flying through space. But now I see and believe that makes no sense. It takes away from our special creation. The Bible is true. Is it flat? Is it a ball? Doesn't matter. What matters is God be glorified. So thank you Lord for showing me your creation and allowing me to give you praise while living in it. Please forgive me when I take it for granted. Love God and Love people.
