    I love your recipe. I'm getting ready to make some myself tonight as we speak. Quick question. What is the vinegar for if you don't mind me asking?

    • @ConniesCookingChannel
      @ConniesCookingChannel  Год назад +2

      Hello @ackingiiikids1582 Great question. It’s our tradition to use hot sauce & vinegar w/okra. Mama’s why…never asked why. We used vinegar with greens too. Thanks for watching the video & leaving a comment. Enjoy them!😋 and God bless you.❤️

    Can you boil okra cut up?

    • @ConniesCookingChannel
      @ConniesCookingChannel  2 года назад +1

      @Herman Anderson It may turn out very slimy. I rather eat fried - cut up okra - over boiling it. Thanks for the question & God bless you.❤️

    I don't understand why the videos keep coming up of ppl doing it without slicing them, but all the times i go to a deli in a grocery store during lunch, they have cut okra and tomatoes. Do i need to be searching for okra and tomatoes specifically? I'm just trying to find out the best way to boil okra, but I'm used to the sliced kind. Makes me wonder if they are using frozen cut okra, and rotel or something. Makes sense, that why they can cook it faster. I hate the way those local grocery store cut corners like that when they have a produce department, but i suppose a lot of them don't have the best selection of fresh vegetables. I see those you got are kinda dark looking. Most customers won't buy them like that.

      @Will Dorten Fresh okra may be seasonal; my local grocery store mainly stock frozen okra. When I saw these, my mouth watered. I couldn’t walk pass them. Each city varies, so you may want to ask your local produce manager.
