  • Well todays exploration trip got the whole family going, Trisha me and the bean all out to the river. The weather was great and the views were more than any camara show. We took a walk just over 2 miles in and had snacks and got to do a little fishing. This is just one of those days where i just about give up and Boom the fish hit. Thanks for watching liking and subscribing.

      just some jigs i tie myself, lots of variation in the weight all on jig hooks. I have some for fly fishing and spin fishing most of them are just marabou jigs no flash and olive or black are the best.

    what's the weight of the jig head do you use for fishing in rivers?

    • @outdoorswithjustin
      @outdoorswithjustin  10 месяцев назад +1

      1/8-1/4 -1/16-1/32oz jig heads depending on the current and depth also the size matters like they have to be around 1.25-1.5 inches long. i have had big fish take the smallest jigs i make.

      I was fishing yesterday in snake river with 1/8 oz jig head, but I felt like the current was a bit strong and the jig head could not reach to the bottom fast, I'm wondering if it matters the jig head is carried away by the current and doesn't touch the bottom? Cause I always hear people say you need to have bottom contact with jigs.@@outdoorswithjustin
