What a Big Beautiful Brown Trout, my Friend! Such FUN! I was blessed with a four pound Saltwater Rainbow Trout that I struggled with using 2-pound test, while Free-ling a FAT Shrimp, on some Grass-Flats...No leader, line was very tired from a full day of catching. She was so FAT there was no chance she'd give me a Dance , but by Grannies, she danced like a Pretty little Show girl seeking big Tips. She was, of course also trying to earn her Freedom. She took the #4 position in a contest we didn't even know was being held and got her picture in the paper just for being so Pretty. She ate well too. Thank you for bringing a smile to this Ol' Man's face, Brother~~~
@@hardmanfishing alright , go back in the spring and film this same video then catching those fish there. when you hook the big one around 5 minutes in you can see another large fish swim off right next to it, those fish are there spawning , leave them alone
I like fishing for brown trout Hardman, north east colors are nice in those browns , you can till they been in the water along time, in the back streams where nobody goes..
Pretty sure I know EXACTLY where you were. ;) It's just north of me and I've seen a LOT of big fish in there over the years. Our local TU chapter has done a lot of restoration work on that section. :)
Absolutely awesome video! Congratulations, Andrew, on catching that fat big male brown trout! ❤ Love watching you catch them, and yes, it's awesome when you follow through on your decision and your decision n efforts pay off! Keep up the excellent work and always, tight lines.
Sick video Hardman just posted a video of mine right as you did haha and just started streamer fishing too just like you I just dont know where to go in Colorado👍
Where was this? Looks absolutely beautiful with the snow capped mountains in the background. Your casting always amazes me. So effortless and smooth. Thanks for taking us on these adventures with you. -Ben from Maryland
What a fabulous fish. As I've previously said here in the UK we always go by weight and never measure our fish so 24 inches dosent really convey much to me, it looked big, though! What a beautiful little river in such wonderful scenery. Where in the USA were you fishing?
Do you have a reason to fish downstream? Is it better?I always try to fish upstream for better streamer flow in water, should i try it more downstream? Can you explain it?
@@benrudman3917yes I've seen it. I have no problem with people fishing during the spawn, I bought some great rainbows below the redds, but it's not cool to fish on the gravel while they're actively spawning. You can see the rubbed gravel on the bank. Yes if you are trying to eradicate browns in a certain stream for natives, have at it but most large eastern rivers rely on wild.spawing for the betterment of.thr resource. Yes you are releasing them but those poor old hens are tired and week. It takes no skill to take a large brown off the gravel, anyone can be a hero. That's just my thought.
Please don’t say the name of this area! Lotsa people don’t think there’s big fish there! Spent my life fishing the streams of a land from a Comedy Central cartoon show! 😂
@@Drew99GT that's hilarious! There are a lot of good areas to fish around there, regardless of what drainage you're in! But we don't say where we're fishing ever, if you recognize it then more power to you lol
Beautiful brown! Brown trout!
I will dream tonight that I was there too!

Thank you!!
Nice! he took you down the river.
Congrats,awesome brown man
Beautiful trout
catch them when theyre not on spawning beds lol
No fish were on redds relax 😂 believe it or not we do know what redds are and do avoid fishing when the fish are actively on them.

great scenery! I would be hard pressed to consentrate on fishing!
Wow! What a beautiful fish! I have been fishing in Estonia almost 4 years now and my record so far is 19 inch brown trout.
19 inches isn't bad at all!

How often do you use floating line vs sink tips?
Wish I could go there
I'd like to be a fly on a bush twig so I could learn what you know. Where were you at this time? You have the best vids
I was in Colorado!
@@hardmanfishing thanks
Hi friend, maybe i missed it in the video... What is the location
Owens River?
Do you have a reason to fish downstream? Is it better?I always try to fish upstream for better streamer flow in water, should i try it more downstream? Can you explain it?
I was fishing upstream? Maybe occasionally I was fishing directly across from me but I rarely fish downstream.
What rod size are you using?
He said it in the video, an 8 wt , he explained that he used that rod just in case he hook a 30 incher , he want to be prepared.
What state/part of the state was this filmed in?
(Just the state or region not the stream), I’m trying to find the best region to go to college in for fishing
What State or Province is this?
Colorado
🫡🫡🤩🤩👌👌
I'm dying to know where this is. Can you say what state you're in?
An 8wt seems excessive fishing for browns not tuna
You must not catch very big browns then!
Hi KAREN🤫
@@hardmanfishing my biggest is 36.5 from Connecticut on a 4wt
Looks like you are dragging a steamer through the gravel in fall. Not cool..leave alone.

I feel sorry for them as many anglers back east do fish the gravel.

I love how he calls them wise fish eating a fly . Keep off the gravel low lifes.
