I really appreciate the effort you put into these videos, you inspire me and motivate me to keep fishing. Keep up the good work, I hope to catch some trout like that someday.
man you are very inspiring. Every time when I don't feel like going out and fish/film or don't feel like editing, all I gotta do is watch your videos and it gives me an extra fuel. Would it be possible making a few more instructional videos? maybe shopping your set up, explaining the flies you are using for certain species, etc? thank you for what you do. Cheers!
The reason you couldn't see her at first was that she was and is used to hiding well from large predators using the shadows and being able to blend in her surroundings. She could be laying beside the shore but if you can't see her you'll walk right by her and then she'll subtly dive where she know she can't be caught by the coon, bear, or eagle. She's been caught once before and her taking you to that rock where you thought you were stuck, she was waiting for you to get impatient and make a mistake where she could break free from a more inexperienced fisherman. Fish know just like other game when they're being hunted. Know your gear, know your waters, know your fish and respect for all. Very proud of you Jon and the Fisherman you've become. Enjoyed this video thoroughly. And always tight lines.
Wow! I am speechless, that's what I call a day and a fish of a lifetime. That's what dreams are made of for us flyfisherman. Enjoyed watching. Tight lines. 👍
Anybody notice the muskrat swim by with a clump of grass during the fight with the mega monster? 13:54……lol. Congratulations on a spectacular couple weeks of fishing.
@@hardmanfishing If I’d had a fish like that on the line I wouldn’t have ever noticed anything that didn’t have to do with the task at hand…….land that fish. Well done!!!
Greetings from Australia, great vids bro. I’ve only ever seen one very dedicated guy casually catch fish this size, he’s spent countless years chasing trout, he easily sees fish in a stream without Polaroids.. I really enjoy watching your vids, the respect you have for the sport, the magical scenery, makes me wonder why I’m not out there right now! Thank you for sharing.
I really enjoy your videos. I wish you would share your setup with us, such as line weight, tippet size, rod weight/length,, and the flies/nymphs you use. You mention people should be using the right gear for these big fish, so it would be helpful to know what you're using. Thanks!!
What a marvellous fight with that beautiful monster! You played it masterfully. And finally that giant trout was properly treated by a thoughtful gentleman of a fisherman. Congratulations!
Wow! Just Wow! That was an epic episode! Congratulations on the extraordinary fish - and thank you for the sound conservation counsel you shared about using the right gear for larger fish. I’ve been enjoying your videos for some time now, and it has been so interesting to watch both your production skills and angling talents grow. You are one of the very best and getting even better!
Great video my friend as always. Over a year ago I purchased a rubber net after watching your videos . Never thought it mad difference but it does . Been trout fishing for a long time and never used a net until now . Thank you for spreading your knowledge.
In future videos can you introduce us to the gear you are using at the beginning + any fly changes throughout? Would be great to see what you are throwing and why choose certain patterns over others in different situations! Keep up the good work!
I would’ve in this video but when I’m fishing for so long I never exactly know what will work. So for me it feels weird to mention it everytime I change flies 😂 and because of that these type of videos rarely show what I’m using
Absolutely awesome. It doesn't matter whether you are catching six-inch brook trout or these giant browns and rainbows, your filming is unrivalled. Greetings again from Prague, Czech Republic.
I've been watching your videos since you were casting spinners upstream . Your progress in a relatively short time is amazing . Great videos Amazing beautiful browns .Tight lines
I'm in my mid sixth , know your water . Nice watching you on a cold snowy evening. Early spring in NE thanks for the video. Keep your line tight. GB ✌️👍🎣
Tight lines from Florida! Just got into fly fishing and looking to plan some trips to North Georgia North Carolina and try some small stream fishing. You are THE GOAT my friend. Keep pushing and sharing as you inspire us!
Love your channel! Just caught my first wild brown yesterday. They are one of the most beautiful fish you can catch. Keep them lines tight brother! Love from Western Maryland.
Great video!! Brings back fond memories of battling trophy browns in small creeks. I used to refer to them as "trolls", for their affinity for hiding under bridges.
Another fantastic video ! Beautiful stretch of water with different size and species of fish. Heck, I even heard the sound of the rare "Dog Fish". You wantta have a tough battle hook onto one of them just be very, very careful when trying to land it ! The Native Browns were beauties especially that 26"er. Thank you for your time and effort put into your videos but also your fishing skills and dedication. 👍😊
I enjoyed watching you fight that big brown. Some fish are harder fighters than others regardless of size. Kinda like people, I guess some are more high-strung and energetic than others!
Jon that was an awesome day, from the time you hooked that monster until you landed her I was on the edge of my seat and my heart was in my mouth the whole time. Felt like I was there experiencing it myself. Amazing!! Congratz!!
It's gonna take a lifetime of fishing to try to beat the Rainbow I caught when I was 10. 7 pounder in NC, our guide was losing his mind. Fish had 5 other flies in its mouth where it had broken off other fishermen.
Beautiful fish there. Loved the back and forth with that last one. I would have suspected a foul hook as well, before seeing it. Really appreciate the handling tips as well. I've seen way to many people release fish after improper handling through the years. I'm quite certain many of them never survived. Take care and God bless! 👍👊🏼🇺🇸
Love the videos! Today I got my first trout on my gear I just bought last Wednesday and I’m for sure hooked. These videos just feed my urge to keep going, keep making vids!
Well DONE my friend! 🤯👍 That last one was BEEEEEEEEAFY!😲 Great vid, beautiful scenery, and the CATCHES were gorgeous man. Plz keep em comin bro. Peace ✌😎
