    Love listening to the work on Harley’s. Not morbid but I had a childhood friend move from the east coast and shortly thereafter pass of leukemia and he had the same exact accent and speech mannerisms. Helps bring back memories of childhood friends. 👍

      Question? I cleaned my carbs on an 05 sportster roadster, after putting back together the bike revs way to high , and with the choke in it died out real quick , it does have a after market air filter , any ideas of what could have happened?

    • @TwoWheelRocco
      @TwoWheelRocco  Месяц назад

      Happy to help when you put your choke in and she wants to stall out that's an indication of a bad idle jet. It's dirty and clogged so when the choke is out, the idle is high because it's running off that circuit for fuel when you shut the choke down, the bike gets starved the fuel and dies clean the carburetor and go over that idle jet again. You should be all right. Thank you for watching and all your support Callemout. Ride safe and have a great day. Take a look at this Carburator cleaning video any questions just ask. ruclips.net/video/Pp4l-zbQcy0/видео.htmlsi=rrAuqKKrHhwzWPGv

    Great tutorial. I've owned a lot of bikes over the years and I have to say removing the carb on my sportster was by far the easiest one. Usually step one was pull the tank which I would have likely done out of habit.

    Update #1, pulled the carb off the bike, hooked up a hand brake bleeder pump to the vacuum hose that connects to the back of the carb. With petcock closed, no fuel flow, opened petcock and put a vacuum on the line, fuel flowed with a good full flow. the petcock seems to be working properly. The fuel bowel on the carb was full when I removed it. I am going to disassemble the carb and inspect all jets.

I got a 1996 Harley sportster long story short It cranks but won’t turnover tried bump starting but that doesn’t work, replaced the battery, checked the spark plugs, put starter fluid in the carburetor an it almost catches, replaced the starter relay. But it still will not turnover and I’m out of ideas Any feedback would be much appreciated. Have a blessed day 👏

      Happy to help what year bike? front or rear brake. test each one and see what you got. I will send a video, most times with your front break pin that hooks up to you master cylinder in the front. You could test the rear by jumping the wire that's a connected to the rear brake solenoid. It's a switch follow the brake line. You'll see a solenoid with two wires plugged into it. I'll send a video. ruclips.net/video/xuYA4Qyo_0g/видео.htmlsi=VI6IjwRvsH6NY2wx

      You will need to test and take things out of the equation until you figure out what is broken. It sounds like I would start with the rear brake and see if that solenoid. you could jump that. if you get a light that's working your front is off your master cylinder, and the pin in the handle as I sent you that video. Let us know how it works out.

    Help, your opinion is needed. 2006 Sporty 1200C, I removed the carb and replaced the following, new choke cable assembly, new rubber manifold gasket, new washer kit for air mixture screw, new main needle, new main jet 180 to 190, new pilot jet 45 to 48. cleaned all parts and reassembled and reinstalled on the bike. It will not idle, at start up, blip the throttle, a shot of gas sprays into the throat, hit the starter, it fires and runs for 4 to 5 seconds and dies. If I keep bliping the throttle, it will stay running. If I pull the choke out just slightly, it will keep running. The air mixture screw seems to do nothing. ???

    • @TwoWheelRocco
      @TwoWheelRocco  29 дней назад

      When you say you pull the choke out lightly and it will stay running indicates to me that your idol circuit is dirty. How did the bike run prior to you doing all this work? Let us know. I would take it apart and go through it one more time. Let us know how it works out.

    I'm trying to figure out my rear brake light in a 2007 harley sportster xl883. Someone put a softtail rear fender and a stupid skull brake light on it! I bought a cheap led light for the rear. And it's only 3 wires. I have a running light working. But no brake light when i hit either brake..

    • @TwoWheelRocco
      @TwoWheelRocco  Месяц назад +1

      Happy to help. You will need a test light and you will have to go and test the wires to see which ones the break the directional or whatever you need but under the seat is the harness that brings that wires back to the fender so that's where I would start, Thank you for watching and all your support Josh. ride safe and have a great day.

    • @pd8559
      @pd8559 Месяц назад +1

      Three wires? Ground (neg), Running (pos) and Brake (pos). There you go. If running works switch to other wire. Light should come on again but either brighter or dimmer than before. If brighter that other wire is definitely brake. If dimmer the new wire is running. Now you mapped the light connector. Time to map out the bike side and make sure the brake wire on bike side has electricity when brake is applied. If not then bike wiring and bike switches on brake pedal and lever need test/replacement.
