I can leave home feeling horrible on some days and after my swim, I feel like I'm on top of the world...Nothing beats swimming...It's the BEST KEPT SECRET of all time...
I turned 91 years old last Oct. 2019. I swim 1/2 mile 4-5 x week in our large pool and have been swimming most of my life wherever I could find a pool. Life's care are wiped away with every stroke. While I'm counting laps, my mind is busy planning the day. I'm so refreshed after swimming.
Could not agree more with you. I am a French transplant in the US Midwest and I always made sure that my daughter who has ADHD and Asperger's Syndrome, attend swimming lessons since she was a baby. At almost11, she has been swimming faithfully on every week and we both enjoy swimming, side by side, in the Mediterranean sea for hours.
Wonderful!! Why is swimming classed as th overall best sport for fitness n metal well being?.From a Christian point if view, Jesus Christ is classesd as The Water of Life. When we drink from that Spiritual Well of Life we will never thirst again. Water revives, 💧 water refreshes, water energises, water quenches. Natural water typifies th spiritual. The look , th movement, th intensity, th calmness, th stillness. A spiritual being is clear, glides, is effortless. God is a spirit. How water makes me feel when I swim is how I feel spiritually. The two are entwined. As natural bread is to Jesus Christ being that spiritual bread of life that sustains us. 🏊♂️🏊♀️🏊🏾
I feel great after swimming. I’m 67 and swim 2200-2500 4 days a week winter, 6 days summer. a day in the pool is always a good day. Just wish I was as fast as I was at 15!
I just learned to swim this year at the age of 43! I finally found an exercise I love! The thing about swimming is it’s ALWAYS a new skill to improve on especially new swimmers like me. You begin to drop weight easily. After swimming I’m hungry but I’ve noticed I don’t want heavy food. I usually want a salad and LOTS of water. I also sleep better. Once you start loving to swim you don’t realize how much time you’ve been doing it lol. Once I got over my fear of deep water, my excitement increased because I’m no longer stuck in the shallow end like a kid 😂!
Congratulations that’s an awesome thing to do I’m so glad you’re enjoying swimming. I learnt when I was 32 but then life took over and I didn’t go back in the water for more years than I can remember, I’ve gone back to swimming this year and I’m so glad I decided to just go for it. I’m 62 now so had to start from the beginning again but its so worth it. Wishing you years of happiness in the water.
My great grandfather swam everyday and was fit even into his nineties. He died at the age of 94. Great to hear there is science backing my believe that swimming was an important ingredient for his health.
My grandad was an alcoholic with one kidney that was also failing him and cancer and died at 81. He also swam everyday made us sad because if he never drank we know we would have had him so much longer.
What he says is true. I do serious road cycling, jogging, hiking, weight training, calisthenics. Out of all of this, swimming feels the most rewarding. I am not a good swimmer, but the feeling of being in the water is the most refreshing out of everything I do and keeps me the happiest.
For me - In swimming - I find the benefits of meditation, brainstorming, prayer, problem solving, autonomy, collaboration, connection, aerobics, muscle building, stretching, balance, deep breathing, goal setting, asthma prevention and so much more!
I feel amazingly exhilarate! Ready for the world. I always offer lessons to people who look like are interested. I love teaching or help improve one's ability so that they too choose swimming as a safer alternative. I love to swim!
I started swimming at age 67 and I can attest to the extreme changes in my body, my energy level and my mental outlook. When I say I started at age 67 I mean I started to actually learn HOW to swim. Working on proper form has me paying attention to every part of my body and what I’m doing with it at all times. It’s a full physical AND mental workout. My psychologist daughter tells me there is scientific evidence swimming builds new neural pathways and therefore improves memory. I believe it. At 6 months I am swimming 45-60 minutes every day and I can’t wait until tomorrow when I can get back in the pool again. .
At 56 I swim as much as I can for physical but mostly for my mental health. Sometimes it's a hurdle to get to the pool, but when I'm in the water I feel like a kid again. The memories of family and friends over the years come rushing back, and I can't help but smile. It is always worth the effort.
I feel euphoric every time I swim. Since making swimming a daily routine my sense of well being has increased tremendously especially after the shutdown during pandemic.
Same here, I have to admit that I love it and I'm not a big swimmer. I swim laps but I was never on a swim team growing up....I just loved the water and the beach so I learned how to swim from swimmers.🥰🥰🥰
I have never felt so great until I began swimming three weeks ago. I had aches, soreness and pain throughout my body and they are all gone. I feel 30 years younger. I am 74 years old. My stamina has increased and my energy level is soaring. My focus now is developing the correct techniques. I truly feel a connection to the ocean!
I started swimming to cope with anxiety was the best decision ever I will not give up swimming till the day I die I go there feeling stressed and low once in the water everything stops it is like meditation but way better
After leading a sedentary life for the last 15 years, I've started swimming daily for the last seven months. My BMI dropped from 41 to 30. I've lost 36Kg (5.67 stones). I'm 41 yrs old and I have again the weight from when I was 25. My resting heart rate improved. I stopped snoring and improved my sleep (I get more rest from 5 hours of sleep than before from 7-8 hours). I wake up very early in the morning at 05:00 am and don't struggle going to sleep in the evening. I get on time to work and I'm more energetic. I'm a better husband and father. Also, I'm an inspiration to my colleagues and my patients. And, most important, I've managed to avoid any more suicidal thoughts. When I feel really low, I spend more time in the swimming pool and put more energy into it. Ending with a very sore whole body is a more acceptable way of self harm, it's not permanent and it has benefits in the long run. It definitely helped me in my grieving process following a painful separation 💔
I had started to swim at 52and i am 54 now, and done my competiton last year, life is good, even at this age still have the fire to learn to swim, swimming is like something very personal, when you swim, whole body are pamper by water, is like the water embrace you. The feeling is so wonderful.
I just started swimming. As someone who’s never been physically active I finally found something I LOVE to do! It’s such a blast, the time flies, and I’m hungrier than ever (which signals to me that I worked hard!). I only crave good healthy foods and I found myself jumping out of bed in the mornings to go swim. Best thing ever
After swimming intensely I feel sick, everything hurts, I swallowed too much chlorine, I get home, get some rest. The next day: I want "mooore". I love it!
Please don’t swallow chlorine water. Aside from the chemicals harming your stomach, chlorine doesn’t automatically purify all bacteria that get in there. You could give yourself strep.
Swimming daily helped me recover from a stroke and now it keeps me strong, alert, healthy and energized. I can’t do anything else except swimming and walking because of the weakness… but I’m so excited to see the HUGE difference it makes in my life. I follow it up with a sauna, healthy food and lots of water and have been able to drop half my weight. 🥰
I swim 3 times a week for 42 minutes, I feel like on vacations, no worries and this time is for my self. I feel so good after swimming, feel alive and strong.
I just turned 70 in May and I have started swimming regularly since the start of this year. I am now doing 70 - 80 laps of 25 metres every day. I feel great and definitely healthier after each swim. I also started to take lessons with a private coach once a week, however, your videos really helped a lot for me to improve and to train for a more enjoyable and effortless swim. Thanks !
I just turned 70, have been swimming (off and on) since childhood. How do I feel after a swim? Stretched out, mentally very mellow, energized, smiling, ready to take on ANYTHING. Thanks for an awesome video, man! I'm a big believer in intervals, and, yes, I like your ATP molecular diagram.
I feel SO pumped after a session! It's surprising how it changes your mentality. At times it is so tough to get started. And then you think; "even if I just do a certain number of lengths today, then that is ok". What happens though is that you always end up doing more. Then I also believe that one of the great benefits is the brain engagement. You are continually analyzing your form while you swim. Completely focused on every part of your stroke, as you seek to improve.
So true, thats me exactly, sometimes I get in the pool and feel Im just not on form and am struggling but once I do a few laps Im back on form again and before I know it, Ive done my 40 lengths. I feel amazing after a swim!
I have a pool and each September I get a bit depressed cause I can't swim anymore. But I just found a gym near me that has a pool. Swimming again and it is really my lifeline. I feel so good after swimming actually everything to do with swimming, even just getting ready to swim.
There. Is. Nothing. Like. Swimming. I always feel amazing when I am done. I get out of the pool, get in my car, and my body says, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
And then you realize that your lung capacity sucks ass and you're half chocking underwater 💀 Or you're 'swimming in your sleep' as your parent informs you
After swimming I feel positively tired and deeply relaxed. While I swim I can easily focus and my mind gets clear in the sense of getting rid of unnecessary thoughts. This is the best. Have a great time during your workouts guys :)
The comments here are so inspirational. I know exactly where everyone is coming from with how swimming makes them feel. Keep up the excellent work Fares - you are my go to guy for advice. I’m 60 now and had a heart issue last month that the consultant said could have been much worse if I hadn’t been so fit. I swam 3 times a week clocking up about 2K of moderate to fast swimming and it’s saved my life. Back in the pool this Monday after 5 weeks out and I can’t wait. You’ve no idea how important your videos are to me Fares. Thanks.
I started swimming again about two months ago and boy did I miss it!! I love being in the water where I weigh nothing and I have no phone, no one bugging me -- just the water all around me!! I could seriously live in the pool. I feel more energy when I get out. It is wonderful.
I pushed my daughter to swim on swim team so as a young adult she now avoids it. Someday she will rediscover the joy she had when she swam as a child whom couldn't stay away from the water. Maybe you will too.
It improves breathing out of water and keeps me calm and less stressed for the day. Muscels gets a good wake up / greetings in the morning. Friendship and peace with other swimmers adds a positive motive. Thanks for the video. It is great to understand and appreciate more what we all like.👌🏊👏
Since I started swimming, I sleep more soundly, my balance and strength are better and I have more energy. Best of all, for someone that doesn't like to exercise I find that I actually enjoy and look forward to swimming. I'll turn 70 soon and am so glad that I discovered all the benefits of a regular pool workout.
Since I took up swimming I have seen tremendous physical and mental wellness along with a significant decrease in my blood sugar and cholesterol levels. But above all, I have noticed a tremendous feeling of euphoria, invigoration and vitality in my body throughout. Amazingly the feeling of hunger has diminished considerably as a result of eating less and losing weight fast...
I almost always feel better than before I got into the pool. Especially at the end of a day after work. I am 63 and have been loving the water since I was 7. Actually swimming in it seriously like in doing laps regularly with the standard strokes for only about the last 35 maybe 40 years. This was a really good teaching about how our bodies work.
im a learner swimmer going through the most difficult time in my life, ifs been a life saver. you cant worry about your problems whisle swimming. its increased my fittness and i look forward to my next session in the pool.🏊♀
After swimming and while I am swimming, I feel like in heaven. Only I and the water exist. Away with things that make slightly anxious because I tend to take things too serious. It sets this right. Makes me feel harmonius and meditative. If the zen state actually exists, it is located in a pool for me. And after a ambitious training I can sleep like stone up to 12 hours straight (If I really pushed my boundaries.) Nothing else has this effect on me.
I am a 78 yo grandmother. I have been doing a variety of Olympic pool laps for several years now. Started at 2 laps, now up to 11 laps. I went from hardly being able to walk and having to crawl out of the pool up the ladder to walking briskly again, doing pull up squats on the ladder and over the diving board chin pull ups. I appreciate your videos and will continue to watch them. Oh btw so glad you talked about swim equipment (mine is a snorkel mask) and I did feel like I was cheating 🥰. Thanks
Thanks so much for your video. In the situation of the corona virus I have been able to swim in a private out door pool in NJ. I am so glad to be able to have the benefits of the swim. I am almost 70 years old and started surfing when I was 56. In my family every sibling has serious back problems and one sister who is 78 is literally in a hospital bed in her living room and has been bedridden for 2 years thus she has extreme muscle dystrophy. My other sisters are couch potatoes. I have been swimming all of my life and I have certainly reaped the benefits of health, good posture, no weight gain or weight loss. My muscles are very toned and I attribute that to swimming and yoga. Glad see your video and I am stoked to get in the water tomorrow, rain or shine!
My parents made me join a swim club at 5yrs old- remember the first day- I didn’t want to do it, my coach finally just pushed me into the pool. Decades later I’m so glad I was pushed into the pool- been swimming ever since.
I've been swimming since I was a child, and I do so every opportunity I get. There is a great deal of not only mental clarity, but peacefulness in the water which helps with anxiety. There is, for me, at least- no greater relaxing or physical exercise that even compares. Or, perhaps I've met my ShangriLa in swimming.
I really love reading everyone's comments here. I moved to a beach town recently. I was never serious about swimming, but I have been wanting to get my technique down. I started watching lots of videos and trying out what I saw. I am seeing the results including better swimming, improvement of mood, improved muscle tone and I am getting over my fear of deep water. Keep it up everyone in here, and thank you Fares!
Learnt to swim 10 years ago and it's been my favourite off the couch sport. 3/4 times a week, 40 minutes each session. Am an endurance swimmer and I pray for family and friends at each lane(s). Felt amazing after a swim, natural happy pill and sweeter than honey.
I swim Monday to Friday I swim 2k a day, I absolutely love it, it makes me feel so good and I will swim Monday to Friday till I die. The best feeling ever
With this past year packed with extensive travel, swimming has "sunk" to the bottom of my list. I've now resumed gym workouts but this is an excellent reminder to return to this, my lifetime pleasure
I‘m a medstudent from vienna (20yrs) old and after starting medical school I was in the worst shape ever bc I stopped working out and was depressed for a year.. now I just fulfilled a huge dream of mine bc I always wanted to learn different swimming styles and now I go swimming 2-3x every week. Beats every workout at home or running. I feel so refreshed, relaxed, happy and motivated after. Studying is much easier after and all in all I can say swimming keeps me going in life!
After my morning swim, I feel set for the day. I feel alive, invigorated, optimistic, challenged, confident, healthy, sexy and strong. Like really, I really do.
Great Video !! I am a geek - love the Science. I work in Dentistry - very stressful. I have jogged / spun / swam. For many reasons Swimming 1 -11/2 miles first thing in the morning makes me feel absolutely wonderful ! Keep up the Great Videos
I started swimming a month ago after not swimming for 18 years, and it's really incredible that my muscles remember the feel of the water. Swimming is the only sport where u feel grateful when u get to breathe 🤣🤣🤣. That first breath after a flip turn is life. How do I feel after a swim? I feel like jumping back in the water.
I also had 18 years of breaktime in swimming. I have started again and that is so exciting experience how my body increase speed, resistance with every session. My technique remained. Now I know what the muscles memory is :)
Just started swimming 5 years ago when I turned 50. It has helped me reduce weight, lower my BP (off my medication now for a year) as well as strengthen me to where I have taken up cycling for the last two years. Every time I finish swimming I feel like I can conquer the world!
After I swim, all my negative thoughts seem to float away. Work-related stress can put my mind at an all-time low, feeling despair, loss of motivation, and loss of creativity. One swimming session helps reset my mind and remind me of that wonderful sense of discovery that makes life beautiful. No other sport seems to help relax my mind the way swimming does.
I am 51 years old and started when I was 47. I was high blood pressure and only one year after, no more . I swim 1,5 km 3 times a week in 50 minutes and feel so relax and energized when my class end. Love it . Sorry my English , ok?
I feel like my body is humming.. a satisfying releave.. a feeling of accomplished goodness to yourself. Im training for triathlon and swimming was my weakest. But the more i swim..the more i love it :)
I am 59 and started swimming 18 mos ago. I usually swim 2x per week around 1200 yds.....after my workout I am fatigued and hungry but also feel good. Love the scientific presentation.....brought back memories of schooling and learning the kreb cycle!
Swimming helps clear up my head and it gives me energy for hours after my laps. I don't recall any regret of going to the pool. It makes me feel strong.
I am 62 year old and learning how to swim on your own was the best time of my life. It has been six years that I have been swimming at least 3-6 days per week. My techniques had been improving because I listen to your advices. Now I swim 2,000 yards for 53 minutes and I feel tired every time I finished swimming. It was a good tired that converts to more energy afterwlards. I know I have improved my strokes from butterfly to breaststrokes to backstrokes and free style because coaches from my pool tells me and from people I do not know thinks I am a good swimmer. All because of your youtube channel. I wamt to join your team someday.
swimming for me from the emotional point of view is, showing kindness to your body. From a mental point of view is an act of self-preservation and awareness. And the lost but not the list from the fiscal boy swimming is permanent regeneration. I hope this video will encrce awareness and strength of many types, and people will be more in tune with themselves. I like your video and the effort that you put in doing this, it shows attention and courage. So thank you for sharing this with us RUclipsrs.
After I swim my 1 km routine I feel that I did something good to my all faithful body. My torax and arms muscles are noticeably inflated. Also, it seems to me that my body got more "compact" all around. I mean, I haven't checked my weight yet, and I don't think I shed weight so far, but it does look like there is less "space" or "jello" between the skin and the muscles. A personal benefit is helping me to get more conscious about my posture strengthening my neck's muscles and helping to straighten my cervical spine. This is very important to me. I started swimming two months ago or so. I'm 62 now. Last time I did it regularly I was 29. I took me long to return, but I'm glad I did. Thank you for your channel. It's really inspiring, enlightening and motivational. All the best!
You shouldn't. It means you need to work on your breathing system. Try to keep your breathing as slow/fast as when you're walking outside normally. Reza 2005 Persian Gulf Long Distance Gold Medalist
Hi!! I'm 53 and I learnt to swim a year ago. I feel fantastic, my health is improving day by day. At present I can swim 2500m and really I'm over the moon!! Greetings from Uruguay🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇾. Congratulations your videos are great!!👏👏
I was working and studying for last 3 years and I was depressed , overwhelmed and stressed about my life, but i started swimming for last 3 months 5 hours for every weekends, i feel great, peaceful, swimming does wonders in my brain
I am starting to swim again after not swimming for a long time... I get stressed out easily, but it is the one thing I can look forward to doing every day, even though I feel like a whale. I go at my own pace and get to fly through the water in my own little silent world. It is magical and uplifting.
I remember finding this out when I was younger, sometimes I totally forgot why I did it, but then I always remember or come back after a while. Whenever you feel like you are just really unhealthy or terrible for any reason, you can literally just swim, and suddenly you are like an elite athlete. It's like it rejuvenates and also cleanses you in ways that literally nothing else can. I think swimming is underrated. The 'best eyesight' is attributed to a tribe that regularly swims and uses their eyes under water to swim and catch fish, makes sense. Especially once you are used to the cold, it's like this feeling of being a reptilian.
Swimming reminds me of when I was in my mother's womb for 9 months, comfortable, warm, safe and care-free. I can't consciously remember that time but when I swim my subconscious tells me I was born of water.
I love the stats. I feel good after swim practice. It’s a good tired. Also, for 5 years before I joined USMS, I suffered with silent reflux. Within 2 months of starting with the team, my reflux had pretty much gone away. Now I did take steps with my diet and supplements for digestion but I truly believe swimming had a big impact. When swimming, the entire body is functioning at optimal levels. It’s a beautiful thing.
I feel great, I am 68 and swim for at least 45 mins a day and with the lockdowns I have really noticed the difference in concentration and general happiness 😊
I started wild swimming last year. Even on the lazy days when I just kick back and float while starting up at the treetops I still come out feeling refreshed and energised. As an added bonus I don't have any eye irritation or chlorine stink like in a regular pool.
I literally feel and look years younger after swimming...It keeps my skin tight, my mind crisp, sharp and active, and my physique fit...I LOVE SWIMMING!!! 😍😍😍
One interesting observation. After a good hard swim I'm much more resistant to the cold. I can run around in my shorts, t-shirt and flip-flops in 50° or less and not be cold. I feel invincible, I love that. Anyone else feel that way?
I swim thrice a week for about 35mins. I started swimming as cross training for my running. But, now, I have fallen in love with swimming. Anti gravity is the trick - brain just loves it. A bad run hurts. But there is nothing like a bad swim. 😊Happy place
I'am 62 male. I swim 3 to 4 times a week anywhere from 2000 to 5000 yards depending on how I feel and what my body tells me I can do. I started in March of 2021 and only could do 400 yards .Every time I swim I feel so good mentally and physically, many of my friends keep asking if I'm lifting weights. I lost 20 pounds and I also had a heart attack in 2015. I will say that I love to eat and this has given me the ability to eat when ever I want. I'm at the point that now training to do a triathlon because I'm in such good shape. The myswimpro videos also have helped me so much with technique. I'm doing 500 yards at 10 minutes don't know if this is good, this is at a relaxed pace.

Very informative. Thanks so much for this. I swim freestyle a mile a day, nonstop (25m pool). It is energizing, not tiring at all. I have more energy after that 1 mile; I always feel great after swimming (physically and mentally). The body loves it, and the aesthetic benefit is the cherry on top. I'm 4'11", 98 lbs. I will swim every day till I'm 90... if I get there. 😊
First lessons at 54 - just to do a few lengths I thought. Now at 73 doing 5k UK charity swimathon. Swimming leaves me feeling loose-limbed and light, and even cures a headache or hangover. However rough I felt before swimming, I always felt good afterwards.

At 56 I swim as much as I can for physical but mostly for my mental health. Sometimes it's a hurdle to get to the pool, but when I'm in the water I feel like a kid again. The memories of family and friends over the years come rushing back, and I can't help but smile. It is always worth the effort.
After swimming, I have good appetite 😆😆😆
Me too!
namui Same
I know! I hate that!!!
Me too
YOG
After I swim, not hungry for several hours but drink about 1 liter of water afterwards.
I feel euphoric every time I swim. Since making swimming a daily routine my sense of well being has increased tremendously especially after the shutdown during pandemic.
Totally agree! Happy swimming!
I'm always happier after I swim :)
jeah!
Same here, I have to admit that I love it and I'm not a big swimmer. I swim laps but I was never on a swim team growing up....I just loved the water and the beach so I learned how to swim from swimmers.🥰🥰🥰
There is something about Swimming that can leave you feeling incredible inside your physical vessel, and so it is!
Me too. Touching the water is an extraordinary feeling
I wish I can feel like that 💀
I have never felt so great until I began swimming three weeks ago. I had aches, soreness and pain throughout my body and they are all gone. I feel 30 years younger. I am 74 years old. My stamina has increased and my energy level is soaring. My focus now is developing the correct techniques. I truly feel a connection to the ocean!
Do u have a higher sex drive?
@brick tea....I will keep the response between me and my mate.
I started swimming to cope with anxiety was the best decision ever I will not give up swimming till the day I die I go there feeling stressed and low once in the water everything stops it is like meditation but way better
Happy swimming :)
So true !
Same :)
Same , i just started learning but i am an amateur hope to learn soon
So glad to hear that your life has changed for the better. Keep it up and happy swimming!
This is amazing, so proud of you!
I am so happy for your improvement and progress!
You can die while swimming and enter into extra dimension
Thank you for sharing. I need to hear this today. ❤️
Actually, I really admire swimming in open water. I cannot Express my feeling once I'm in the water. Swimming is the best sport ever
Open water swimming is great! Happy swimming!
I had started to swim at 52and i am 54 now, and done my competiton last year, life is good, even at this age still have the fire to learn to swim, swimming is like something very personal, when you swim, whole body are pamper by water, is like the water embrace you. The feeling is so wonderful.
Awesome! Happy Swimming :)
That's so cool to hear! Happy swimming!
After swimming intensely I feel sick, everything hurts, I swallowed too much chlorine, I get home, get some rest.
The next day: I want "mooore".
I love it!
doesn't sound good to me
More chlorine?
Why would you swallow the chlorine water
Sounds like you haven't learned to swim properly. You need to keep your mouth firmly shut lol you should not be drinking the communal water.... no.
Thanks !
I started swimming when I was 55, and now at 61 ,after every 75 minutes session, I feel so good. and above all I've suspended my hypertension drugs!
That's amazing! Keep it up.
So cool Anne! Thanks for joining us here on RUclips and happy swimming!
Swimming is the only sport that lets you feel reinvigorated and actually better after you have completed your exercise.
I have a pool and each September I get a bit depressed cause I can't swim anymore. But I just found a gym near me that has a pool. Swimming again and it is really my lifeline. I feel so good after swimming actually everything to do with swimming, even just getting ready to swim.
Can you enclose it for winter?
There. Is. Nothing. Like. Swimming. I always feel amazing when I am done. I get out of the pool, get in my car, and my body says, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
Completely refreshed
Swimming under water kinda feels like flying
You know it - zero gravity!
It really does feel like those dreams where you flap your arms and realize you can fly!
And then you realize that your lung capacity sucks ass and you're half chocking underwater 💀
Or you're 'swimming in your sleep' as your parent informs you
That’s my next goal… to swim under water…
Swimming does wonders for the mind, body, and soul! 💯
How
Swimming has really helped me. As someone who does dialysis 3hrs/3X’s per week, the water helps with strength, muscle… maintenance
After swimming I feel positively tired and deeply relaxed. While I swim I can easily focus and my mind gets clear in the sense of getting rid of unnecessary thoughts. This is the best. Have a great time during your workouts guys :)
So true! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks.
Man I feel like the world stops for me when I’m swimming
YES! 💯
Very well said!
Exactly
lIMZEY yes
Love it!
OH MY GOSH GUYS I JUST FOUND IT! I JUST FOUND THE EVIDENCE FOR MY NEW ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY ABOUT HOW SWIMMING IS THE BEST SPORT!
Excellent! Checkout the article and send us the report :)
This is not evidence
@@aestheticaudio6037 tell that to their essay !
I swim all my life...and I love how I feel when I sim, cleaner, more focused....and completly at ease with everything.
After swimming I feel exhausted and relaxed! Your problems are still the same but you have a better perspective on it😁
True
swimming has been my hobby for 50 years. I like it for my mind and body. There is no better way to "feel good" in all ways!
I started swimming again about two months ago and boy did I miss it!! I love being in the water where I weigh nothing and I have no phone, no one bugging me -- just the water all around me!! I could seriously live in the pool. I feel more energy when I get out. It is wonderful.
It’s cool to see all these people in their 60s and older who enjoy swimming. For us college kids it just leaves us depressed lol
Or high school kids
Benny Torres or preskol kids ! XD hahahahahahah
I can't relate. It's very fun
it's not the swimming, it's you. you are depressed.
I pushed my daughter to swim on swim team so as a young adult she now avoids it. Someday she will rediscover the joy she had when she swam as a child whom couldn't stay away from the water. Maybe you will too.
Just turning 70, feel good before swim, during swim and after swim.
Happy Swimming!
I bet you look younger than your age. 😊
im a learner swimmer going through the most difficult time in my life, ifs been a life saver. you cant worry about your problems whisle swimming. its increased my fittness and i look forward to my next session in the pool.🏊♀
I always go to the pool to make decision or decompress. If I undecided about something, I magically come out with a clear vision. It makes sense now
💯 great for the mind!
Love this! Thanks for sharing and happy swimming :)
I sleep marvelously well after training, especially after a competition. I'm 65.
Me as well. Happy Swimming!!
Amazing! Thanks so much for sharing, Terry. Happy swimming!
Glad to hear that Alice! Happy swimming!
I feel awesome after I swimm for at least 30 minutes, feel more relax, focus, distress, thin, etc.
For sure!
Giovanni Martinez yip. I can relate.
distress is bad I think you mean de-stressed
I swim Monday to Friday I swim 2k a day, I absolutely love it, it makes me feel so good and I will swim Monday to Friday till I die. The best feeling ever
swimming gives me peace, it makes me happy and i don't hv to compare with anyone.
Welcome back to the sport! Happy Swimming!
You inspired me to try and do the same
😂😂
I also had 18 years of breaktime in swimming. I have started again and that is so exciting experience how my body increase speed, resistance with every session. My technique remained. Now I know what the muscles memory is :)
Just started swimming 5 years ago when I turned 50. It has helped me reduce weight, lower my BP (off my medication now for a year) as well as strengthen me to where I have taken up cycling for the last two years. Every time I finish swimming I feel like I can conquer the world!
I forget about all my problems when I swim. All I focus on is what our sets are. I don’t think about all the things going wrong in life.
Isn’t that so peaceful? Happy swimming!
👍 same with running. Best part
My swim days within my current training cycle are my FAVORITE days. My brain loves everything and everyone on those days!
Nice!! Happy Swimming, Jill!!
Well said! It's amazing! Happy swimming!
I am 51 years old and started when I was 47. I was high blood pressure and only one year after, no more . I swim 1,5 km 3 times a week in 50 minutes and feel so relax and energized when my class end. Love it . Sorry my English , ok?
Happy Swimming!
Awesome! oh the krebs cycle! 💪
Swimming helps clear up my head and it gives me energy for hours after my laps. I don't recall any regret of going to the pool. It makes me feel strong.
That is great! Happy Swimming!
After swimming I feel tired af.. 😂
Yes!

Yes so tiired but I feel free too 😁
You shouldn't. It means you need to work on your breathing system. Try to keep your breathing as slow/fast as when you're walking outside normally.

I finally returned to swimming as an old man (
Swimming Makes me Stresses free cuz im always stressed but when swimming my body Just chills (I swim5 days a week and 1day of gym a week)
Hi!! I'm 53 and I learnt to swim a year ago. I feel fantastic, my health is improving day by day. At present I can swim 2500m and really I'm over the moon!! Greetings from Uruguay🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇾. Congratulations your videos are great!!👏👏
That is one main reason why I turned love into swimming, I feel just awesome fresh and clear mind after swim.
I was working and studying for last 3 years and I was depressed , overwhelmed and stressed about my life, but i started swimming for last 3 months 5 hours for every weekends, i feel great, peaceful, swimming does wonders in my brain
Amazing, thanks for sharing, Muna! Happy Swimming :)
I feel totally zen after swimming. You're a great teacher btw!
Total zen mode after a good swim! Thanks for watching!
The word rejuvenation is a great way to describe it! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing! Glad swimming has helped in so many ways!
Swimming is the best!!
I feel great, I am 68 and swim for at least 45 mins a day and with the lockdowns I have really noticed the difference in concentration and general happiness 😊
That’s awesome to hear! Happy swimming!
I started wild swimming last year.
Even on the lazy days when I just kick back and float while starting up at the treetops I still come out feeling refreshed and energised.
As an added bonus I don't have any eye irritation or chlorine stink like in a regular pool.
Swimming is my favorite part of my day. I’m part of my high school swim team and for nearly the entire day, I’m just waiting for practice to start.
Thank you for sharing! We hope you are able to return to practice soon!
When I started swimming I was completely wasted after workouts... 6 months later I feel really energized and satisfied
Yes!! It's the best
And healthier especially in the flu season when everyone gets sick.
@@mashapetrovic1466 the chlorine disinfects you !
And the opposite is true also. On a hot sticky day I feel cool and refreshed for hours after a swim.
I swim thrice a week for about 35mins. I started swimming as cross training for my running. But, now, I have fallen in love with swimming. Anti gravity is the trick - brain just loves it. A bad run hurts. But there is nothing like a bad swim. 😊Happy place
YES!! "Anti gravity is the trick - brain just loves it."
