When I cooked the tofu like that when u are seazoned the shreaded tofu I also use instead of salt a veggie cube broth and that gives and extra meaty punch flavour , I dont know if u ever tried before btu it is pretty good , I recommend u to try Sauce Stache, I love ur videos and I cant wait to see the new things that u want to bring to the channel , have a nice day
I have always loved tofu and cook with it often. I don’t really understand the hate that surrounds it; it’s just soybeans ffs. It has a delicate flavor, but it also absorbs whatever seasoning you add to it and becomes whatever you want to it be. If you don’t like soybeans or have a soy allergy, you can make tofu from other ingredients. I’ve made my own tofu from chickpeas, which is common in Burmese cuisine, and red lentils. I like them all.
Love this recipe; this is how I make cutlets, bacon, and ground! I cut my tofu into the shape that I want, add it to a pan with seasoning and then boil everything until the water evaporates. Afterwards, I bake it in the oven at 450 until the white parts are mostly gone and then pack it in the fridge/freezer. Me and my kids love it!
Mango salsa is the best. I add some chopped red onion and jalapeno pepper to taste. This recipe works with pineapple, too. Amazing with grilled seitan chicken in a tortilla.
It's amazing how different you look. I will always support you because you are clearly passionate and devoted and talented. My best thoughts to your family for encouragement and support during this shared journey.
I haven't been here in a minute and I can not believe how great you look! Congrats!! I am so proud of you and the plant-based diet looks great on you, handsome! Stay blessed and massive success to ya! BTW, I am going to try this dish Raw Vegan Style! lol 🙂
These look nice, especially all those flavours combined, might try it with soya mince! We often use the tofu in Korean food. This recently worked for me: tempeh "salmon" ~ I cut my tempeh block in half and cut deep grooves in, made a marinade with kombu stock (boiling some kombu in like a cup of water), wholegrain mustard, syrup, dill, smoked salt, lemon and odourless coconut oil. Fried until brown and basted them in the marinade, getting it in the grooves. Served over cooked spinach. It's not imitation fish as such but really tasty. My wife loved it but lamented there wasnt more.
I think if one is going to mix the mango into other ingredients leaving the skin on will include more nutritive elements without having too much bitterness.
thats wild!! Ive tried using a peeler so many times because thats what everyone says and it always comes out a mess!! I need to figure out this peeler method where im not holding a bare sticky mango haha
This is great! Your recipes are very interesting. Just one free advice for you… sorry😅😅 0:38 I would recommend not to pour hot water/hot food into a plastic cup. The plastic might seep into your food.
Thank you, these are soup containers which are meant for hot liquids. this is just me and im sure ill get some flack for it, but outa everything in the world hot water and plastic is the least of my concern.
I'll try this with pineapple juice since I can't have citrus due to GERD and try ginger instead of onion and garlic since I can't have those either and plum sauce instead of bbq sauce, I hope it'll still be good
I think I have never had actual tacos with the typical combo of "meat"+salsa+crema+veggies or even any other proper taco and honestly, every time you make a version over here I can feel I am missing out :D Do you have a favourite taco filling btw? What would be your no. 1?
Sup Stache?! What tofu do you buy? I mix some artisan some asian store, and some big store - always organic or non-gmo. Do you make your own tofu? Do you recommend that? Thanks. Nate
Totally!! homemade tofu is the best, Sometimes I get fresh from the local asian market which is even better. Commonly though I just get the basic nasoya brand tofu!
I cut my mango the same but scoop out with a spoon and then eat the whatever i couldn't scoop with the spoon with my teeth lol... its always a mess but a yummy one.
I wait for your postings faithfully, and make many of your recipes to my pleasure and profit! But please, please, please LOSE the la-la-la background music?
At 3 bux a pack i can get 4 days worth of healthier meals out of why would i not eat it everyday unless if i was a complete moron which i am not .......not completly anyway 😂😂😂😂
I cringe when you pour boiling water into a plastic cup to make the sauce... Not sure what's leaching out of there into your delicious food. Just saying. But yes, tofu is awesome. Already had my daily dose in my breakfast
Im not vegan, Not on ozempic and its not even close to a sudden weight loss change. I've lost 110 pounds over the course of 2 years around 1 pound a week. I made a video about it here on the main channel. I started running, doing yoga, going to the gym and Im on a calorie restricted diet and switched mainly to whole foods.
It has estrogen. You'll start to take on feminine behaviors and become weak mentally and physically over time. It's like kryptonite to men. Everything in moderation. But when you factor in all the things we're exposed to these days that have estrogen like compounds, and you start eating this everyday, it's not good.
I don't understand why you always compare real meat's nutrition values with tofu (or whatever you use). It won't sway any meat eaters to change their minds.
It totally has, Ive had people approach me in public and literally tell me it has. I dont think most people understand how protein rich a a lot of plant based foods are
Grab 2 2-packs of NotSteakSauce only at Http://NotSteakSauce.com YOU are going to LOVE IT!!

Mary thank you soo much!! You're going to love it!!
If you ever ship to Europe I'm game ;)
Tacos look great! I make tofu often but have not made as taco meat. Definitely going to try your version. Thanks!

TOFU IS THE BEST!!!!!!!
It REALLY is!!
I eat tofu everyday! It's such a great protein that, like you said, can be prepared in so many ways. Great recipe!
And it is really affordable
LETS HEAR IT FOR THE TOFU

Thanks for sharing. The tacos look delicious.
Thank you!!! They were sooooo good!! so good

Yum!
Holy cow. I have not watched this channel in probably a year and a half or more. You look so different. Still great content too!
hey mr Stache
maybe try adding a half teaspoon of cocoa powder to the tofu for a deeper flavor 🤠
I use a potato masher for tofu. I use one that has parallel metal lines, not one with small holes. It works far better than a cheese grater.
omg thank you i hate using the grater. I'll do that from now on
You had me at “mango salsa!” Also Ive yet to grate tofu like that. That’s an awesome idea!
Looks perfect!!!! Thanks for sharing the awesomeness 🎉🎉🎉
I made the tofu like this, but turned it into “ginger beef”tacos and used hoisin sauce with an avocado and mango mash. Topped with cilantro
It's amazing how different you look. I will always support you because you are clearly passionate and devoted and talented. My best thoughts to your family for encouragement and support during this shared journey.
What happened ? Cancer?
Thank you
Omg no. I’ve just been dieting and exercising for the last 2 years. It’s been a lot of work.
Wish my tummy was better; this looks so good 😭😋
Aww hope you get feeling better!

That green looks so good on Monica! Love the recipe as always!
Just got my two pack of not steak sauce, the whole house, including my 6 year old daughter loves it. Great job!

We’ve been eating loads of tofu instead of other 'meat' subs. It makes the best mince, by an absolute mile.
By a mile!!! It really does!
I use small knife with thin blade to remove the skin from mango slices.
Wow you look amazing I haven’t seen your video in a long time
I think if one is going to mix the mango into other ingredients leaving the skin on will include more nutritive elements without having too much bitterness.
I find peeling the mango thinly with a knife or a peeler, before cutting the same way you do, is a bit faster.
The recipe looks yum!!
thats wild!! Ive tried using a peeler so many times because thats what everyone says and it always comes out a mess!!
I need to figure out this peeler method where im not holding a bare sticky mango haha
@SauceStache Honestly I have the same problem 😂 You aren't alone!
@@SauceStache haha yes, it can be a bit messy but as long as you peel over the bowl you will use later, nothing is going to waste 👌
Tofu is so good seasoning it up 😮

ive only been following you since you lost the weight, seeing clips from before is insane, youre a different person! 👏👏
"Soapy lettuce" is the best description of cilantro.
I love cilantro, but chipotle tastes awful to me.
Looks delicious and very easy.
Thank you!!!
❤❤Hey Mark!!❤❤ Another wonderful episode! Hey, just curious if you guys ship (sauce) to canada?🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
I love tofu! I have a whole block of cooked tofu and a fruit salad every day for lunch. 😊
I'll try this with pineapple juice since I can't have citrus due to GERD and try ginger instead of onion and garlic since I can't have those either and plum sauce instead of bbq sauce, I hope it'll still be good
I had red curry Thai and tofu and it was yummy

I love that “soapy lettuce” too!! 😅😅
Soapy lettuce!
Lol, that comment got me 😂

MY MAAAAAN!
MYYYYYY MAAANNNN!!!
Awesome!
Watching ur videos after a long time. You have lost soo much weight! I hope all ok with you 🙏🏻
Make Zatarains gumbo but with vegan chicken and shrimp
Did you go straight from the package to the grater? When I try to shred tofu, it just crumbles apart.
super firm tofu should grate pretty easily!
I will keep an eye out for the super firm! Thanks so much!
That's what I call "Killer Tofu". I swore I wouldn't do that.
Aw-wee-oo
Killer Tofu
Eee-aw-wee Iee-oo
Killer Tofu
Is it free shipping to Canada ?
I’m not vegan.(OMG) I really ❤tofu though. I have never even thought about shredding it on a cheese grater. 😂
Yummy!
Yummmmmm!!!
why cant NotSteakSauce have stevia instead of raw sugar?
Is noted 😋
Suggestions besides cilantro because it tastes like soap to me?
You could try parsley.
I always substitute it with parsley
Note to everyone here! Make sure you don't eat these ultra processed foods often, keep them as a treat or mix them with veggies!
Alright lil bro i just purchased your not steak sauce.
Top 🎉
Fish know be to filet the mango? Also, why no jalapeño in salsa?
that's like "al pastor tacos" with mango instead of pineapple
I hate tofu, but I love tacos. I might try it out. I already did the carrot tacos, and the chickpea tacos and they were great!
I cut my mango the same but scoop out with a spoon and then eat the whatever i couldn't scoop with the spoon with my teeth lol... its always a mess but a yummy one.
save the cows!!!

hahah ill start the search for new background music! I've been trying, but I really like the song hahaha
@@SauceStache I really like this one.
Personally I’d lose the feeling that every video is now just an advert for Not Steak Sauce.
@@SauceStache OK, now it's been brought up, what is that track? I like it. It's strange, and kind of reminds me of something I can't quite place...
It reminds me of some music of the sims 1 soundtrack :o @@docAvid314
I would buy your sauce if I could afford it 😶. Too $$!

Um hasn’t he been a vegan for years? What’s with the sudden weight change? Is it ozempic?

Eww
Phytoestrogens will give you

Thats estrogen, which is more highly found in dairy and meat. :) Try again.
I read some years ago that too much tofu cools a man's ardor. Women can eat as much as they want.
