My husband and I both enjoyed this video. We’ve been to many restaurants on Disney Property, but oddly, only one of the ones you mentioned on this list (I guess good for us)! We made a reservation for Be Our Guest months in advance and barely squeezed it in. I had to call guest services to basically plead for a reservation. I was thrilled to have gotten one. Cue our most recent Disney trip in March and the “big day” finally arrived. As soon as I got in line my excitement quickly starting fading. The herd you are shuffled through ruined the atmosphere. The ordering system was dismal. We finally went to the dining rooms and decided on the ballroom. If I had any hope of a good meal it ended here. The floors were sticky and it was SO noisy. It was at best a themed cafeteria. The food was so bland we barely ate any of it. It was expensive for what it was and was so completely forgettable... except the literal bad taste will hang around for awhile. I have zero interest in returning.

I wholehearted agree with BOG. I was completely underwhelmed. The large dining room is like eating in a school cafeteria. It is so loud. I expected more ambiance. I had a decent meal at lunch, but a disappointing meal at dinner. And I completely agree with Sprinkles cupcakes. The first time I ate one I thought, this is it? I guess I was expecting the angels to sing from all the hype. I don't know about Casey's Corner, but I will agree that the set up and seating is horrible. They could easily expand the restaurant if they removed some of the emporium space, but God forbid that Disney would do that to make it easier on the guests. Why sell $10 hot dogs when they can sell $30 t-shirts.

I kinda get what Ryno is saying about Sprinkles, some of their flavors aren't as good as others so I can understand someone having an underwhelming experience. But their red velvet is one of the greatest food items I've ever had.

I completely agree regarding Le Cellier and I am so glad someone said it! So over-rated tables too close together, bathroom was atrocious, dessert was inedible, service took so long. I also agree about Kona Cafe - we didn't care for it. I would add 'Ohana as well to the over-rated list (so many service failures our last visit and it used to be a favorite). I am so sorry to hear about JIKO - I did not go on my last trip but it is my favorite signature.

Ryno, I totally agree with your observation about Sprinkles! My mom loves to bake and she's amazing at it, so when I try any cupcake that isn't hers, it's just underwhelming. I have only tried the mini cupcakes they handed out when Sprinkles opened up in Downtown Disney, not any full-sized ones, but I can just tell it won't be worth my money because I can get them at home for free.

  • @sokiecribbs5881
    @sokiecribbs5881 6 лет назад +2

I’m in 100% agreement with Ryno about Sprinkles. It’s way overrated, overhyped and just not good. Although most are hits and misses (mostly misses), the cupcakes are just plain dry and the frosting is overly sweet and dense. I do understand the appeal and why it’s popular though: cute/minimalist packaging, great marketing and the fact that it’s trendy. It’s trendy saying you went to Sprinkles and people go “oooh” and “aaah”. Frankly, I don’t get it but I will give them credit and say that most of their seasonal flavors are quite good and moist. Their rotating lineup though could use some work. There’s one down here at Downtown Disney but I’d rather have one from the Parks or elsewhere. Also, I don’t what it is but the staff at Sprinkles, or the ones I’ve been too are just downright rude if not snobby (there’s 3 locales around me)...doesn’t make for the greatest guest experience. I think it’s the fact that they’re like “hey, we work at trendy Sprinkles...blah, blah, blah). Honestly, better off getting your cupcake fix in the Parks or even going to Costco.

I have to say that Casey's has been a Family Tradition in my family for close to 40 years. It use to be we go in and get ourselves a hot dog and hit the rides. It's was special because it's something I did with my Grandpa and my Dad. Now they've both passed and I share it with my 2 disabled boys and my school aged sisters. I will still continue that tradition and we have had a bad experience at Casey's but when it's hopping we take it outside and enjoy it with the view of Cinderella Castle as a family. Disney has been a huge part of my family since my childhood and still is in my near retirement years. I'm proud to say we are a hardcore Disney Family.

Via Napoli was highly recommended to us when we visited this March 2018. My boys recieved 2 burnt pizzas, my husband ordered a white pizza and asked for no argula added and was told they couldn't do that. When it came his crust was perfect (unlike the pepperoni pizzas my boys ordered) but you could tell the argula was added at the end and could very well of been excluded. The waiter was condescending when we asked for it to be excluded , explaining that the bitterness of the argula offsets the sweetness of the cantolope. I GET THAT but my husband hates greens. My chicken parmesan was dry along with the pasta. My husband has dietary concerns and we were informed it would be AWHILE for him to be able to talk to someone before we ordered. The whole experience was so lengthly that ...NO we didn't complain (thank you for this opportunity on your page)and yes we still tipped 20%

Loving Ryno on this episode. "Back in the day" I used to love Casey's, I went to Casey's last week near the time for the fireworks it was crazy and it was 10.69 for a hot dog and gross fries. The lines were crazy and people were getting angry. I love Ryno's throw down the challenge to Pete. Jiko - Never Been there. Be Our Guest - Never been there ( When I watch the video's of the place it always seems to loud) I Love Charles description of the grey stuff. Le Cellier - I haven't been in a very long time after the prices got to high. Sprinkles - the cupcakes were dry. I now want to try the Captain Crunch Ice Cream Kona Kafe - I have only done breakfast.

I have to say I am on the fence about Jiko. I ate there just the other night and my food and experience was stellar. The servers and hostess were warm and knowledgeable, and even let me check in early for my reservation.
Yet I can see where there is inconsistency because at the cooking place seating area, literally just a few stools down, there was a couple where the gentleman was not having a good experience with his food and seemed to be waiting for it twice from what I overheard/observed.

I’ll also add that I’ve wanted to go to Le Cellier for awhile. My interest is piqued but with the amazing California Grill (which is decidedly expensive and worth every penny) available without a $70 filet, I’d be hard pressed to choose that over CG. CG is our favorite restaurant on property and it’s a must do every time we are there. I’m a little bummed the bone marrow was gone on our last visit. Here’s hoping they bring it back again!

Hey guys great show! Completely agree about Be Our Guest. Very upset about Jiko since I was planning on going there this summer because Pete raved about it so much. But I guess I need to pick a different place to eat haha. So i just looked it up. A filet a Le Cellier is $54 not $70. I do think that $54 is still expensive but I also looked up a filet at Yachtsman Steakhouse and that is $50. So there's not much of a difference in pricing. So are both of these places overrated? I do not know since I have not eaten at either of these locations and I am very serious about my steak haha.

We so AGREE with Le Cellier!! Different reasons, maybe. We went on New Year's Eve, waited 40 minutes beyond our reservations. That was a WASTE of our time. The experience was awful. Due to the holiday, the menu was limited... NO RIBEYE on the menu for my husband... I had to listen to him WHINE. They replaced it with prime rib. Desserts kind of sucked, and the bathroom was way too small for the crowds in the restaurant during the holiday time. It was an uncomfortable experience. The other high end restaurants we went to on that vacation were ALL so much better: Artist Point, Cinderella's Royal Table (had an EXCELLENT catch of the Day), Yachtsman, and California Grill!!!

Also agree with Be Our Guest being on this list. It was a zoo there and the food was awful.

I hate to say it, but I strongly disliked my experience at Be Our Guest. I was somehow lucky enough to find a reservation for it a day ahead and was SO EXCITED. Even if it was just for lunch. However it was extremely disappointing.. food was bland, the prime rib sandwich didn't even have cheese, and it was dry. Not to mention they came around with food carts trying to find out if they had your meal... had at least 5 or 6 come to us looking at our receipts just to tell us is wasn't our food. The only positive was how beautiful the theming was and that we managed to get a seat in the room with the rose.

It must be hit or miss because when I went my prime rib had cheese and was passable. (I’d rather just go to Casey’s) but I’m curious as to why everyone hates it because when I went it wasn’t the best but it certainly wasn’t awful

I love Casey’s Corner but I can agree it’s crazy no matter what time of year you go. The one restaurant that really disappointed me was Cinderella’s royal table my server was awful. He was cold and not friendly, he treated us like we were just children. The worst part is that it was for my 21st birthday and the server totally ruined it :(

Hearing what you said about Kona makes me sad. I have heard you guys rave about it and I didn't get to make it the last time I went, so I made it a point to this time, but now hearing this makes me scared.

We ate Breakfast and Supper at Be Our Guest on our last trip on January 9. The breakfast food was bad, flavourless and overpriced. We paid out of pocket. As a Quick Service credit it was reasonable. Our supper food and service were great. For some reason we waited 1 hour for our table. Reservations were made 190 ahead. When we got into the room "The gallery" most tables were empty.

The corndog nuggets are so good, do a grab and go and walk down Mainstreet. Be Our Guest is just OK many times for food and breakfast is not worth the price at all even for yummy pastries, although always an A for atmosphere. Unfortunately, only find seats in the "library" when I have been there.

We ate at Le Cellier twice and it was amazing. We went again last Christmas and it was definitely the WORST dining experience I ever had. I don’t even know where to start. Service was bad, food wasn’t cooked right, our dishes were missing items, and when I got my dessert I noticed more was missing and I had to show them a picture from my phone what it was supposed to look like!😮 It was like they didn’t care. We were on the deluxe dining plan, and I felt like because it was credits and not cash they thought it was ok to give us horrible service. It was just awful and I won’t go back. It’s sad, because it’s so good.

I agree on Be Our Guest. We were soooo excited to eat lunch there. The restaurant is beautiful (except for that room with pictures) but the food was so bad. We HAD to try the grey stuff, and while the frosting was good but the actual cakey part tasted like dollar store cake mix. Yuck.
Only have been once in Casey's. What drew me in was the mac and cheese hot dog. Terrible. They should be embarrassed to call that sewer concoction mac n cheese. Then actually trying to find somewhere to eat was a nightmare. Don't get me started.

ohheypaula We went to Be Our Guest for breakfast and it was awful. The whole breakfast were just pastries you could buy at a grocery store for cheaper.

Sitting Duck we had breakfast there. We had the Gastons feast, and was quite good. They were very willing to help with my pork sensitivity, and cooked chicken sausage for me. Although, it was very crowded, and such a pain to get into. I would avoid it, and do Cinderellas royal table instead. It would be more fun, especially if you have young daughters who love the princesses. It is more expensive though. Maybe when they make Be Our Guest a signature it will be worth it.

I’ve always hated Cassie’s Corner because there are always super long lines and hotdog are super terrible compared to Saline’s hotdogs that I always eat at home. I often always feel sick after I eat there.
I went to Jiko last Christmas so I’m not sure if the new chef was there at that time but I loved everything I ate there. The flatbread appetizer was super awesome and I also loved the steak. Once again I’m not sure if the new chef was there at this time.
I did not have a great experience when I went to Be Our Guest around when it opened. I loved the theming but I hated the food. I don’t remember what I had but I only liked the grey stuff.
I went to Le Celie two christmas’ ago. I loved the food but it was a bit expensive. The pretzel bread was a must have. Sadly I was a bit Ill that day.
I just went sprinkle’s cupcakes the past spring break. It used to be my favorite cupcake place ever but now I understand why it’s overrated because the Quality is dropping.
Note: I was not impressed with Voodoo Doughnut’s. It was like Tim Horton’s quality doughnuts which is not saying much.
I’ve never been to Kona Cafe. I’ve ate at Ohana’s, the dinner show, Pineapple Laui and there quick service. I have loved all of it. I’ve always scene the Kona Cafe as seafood so I’ve never tried it. Maybe some day I will but basing it of other restaurant at the Polynesian I believed it must be good but I guess not.

Love y’alls show! Totally agree with the Be Our Guest restaurant review. My husband and I went there with our girls for lunch and the wait time even though you have a reservation is the first major turn off. The lunch was in my opinion overpriced and not very flavorful. Spent $60 dollars and went immediately to purchase a mickey pretzel and cheese dip.
FYI....the sprinkles cupcakes do look like 👀 😂

When there in Jan, we did Be Our Guest for dinner - our service was mediocre at best, and the food was just okay. My sides were great and my main dish was meh. I have always wished the 3rd room was the library. I agree that the grey stuff is only okay. All other times I have really enjoyed dinner there. Did breakfast at Kona on that trip as well, and my Eggs Benedict was good, but my plate was dripping with hot water. They hadn't properly strained the eggs. Apparently they weren't using a slotted spoon. It made my plate look not great and everything else a little soggy.
