Have been to Il Mulino at Hard Rock Casino & Hotel in Atlantic City and it is was very good, the Chicken Parm was excellent. Happy Birthday!

the cold eggplant looks like a caponata its meant to be cold and usually spread on bread which makes sense why they brought it out first, maybe meant to eat on bread with the salami

Looks great guys. Italian food is the best on the planet. Always nice to see a place that nice. The family time is awesome... Be there in Oct for the Food and Wine Fest as we do each year since it started in 1995...

II Mulino, I eaten at two locations, including this one and my overall food experience is that same as yours.
Happy Birthday! We went there, too. Back in Sept. I was not impressed by my meal either. My son also said the pizza was just ok. And, it does get super loud. It was the night we went. Love your honest reviews.

Had a great appetizer there but the veal saltimbucca entree came out and was overcooked and nearly inedible. The waiter even comped the entree after seeing it looked like jerky. You had an unfortunate table, I had a 2 head near the center it was nice.

Happy birthday. I was here in January for my 1st time. We were sat in the corner. Waiter was good, but forgot us at 1 point. I found the menu limited for me. Would go back if someone really wanted to, but not by my choice.

Happy Birthday Leslie! As to "Theming and Ambience", I never found the design of the restaurant to match the price and upscale vibe that it wants to portray. As you no doubt know, Il Mulino is a small-ish chain that started in Manhattan, expanded to a couple more locations (including WDW), and then really branched out to the point where they have around 20 locations open, (or at least they did before Covid. Not sure if they all survived.) At the original location and the first expansions, they portrayed a high-end, white tablecloth vibe with bow-tied waiters who walked around with kitchen towels over their forearms. You get the picture. The location at the Swan was the first one that I went to that was more "bistro" in design. A bit too hip and casual for what I was expecting. The result was a loud (and I mean LOUD) space filled with corporate and convention types who tend to stay at the S&D, and who visit the bar for an hour or so before they sit down to dinner. The open space with no soft textures coupled with larger groups of "three-drinks-in" diners made for very loud evenings. And while you mentioned in your video that you didn't experience excessive noise, the clamor that was picked up on your microphone tells a different story. Wow! That was the loudest in-person visit that you have ever filmed. Not your fault and I am very glad that your ears did not pick up what the microphone did. But the sound on the video definitely brought me back to my prior visits in terms of noise. Loved the review. I haven't been in over 5 years and am making up my shortlist for my upcoming visit. I will leave this on for now, (as we are staying at the Dolphin), but I think it will slip toward the bottom of the short list. Cheers!

@@AddictedtotheMouse I went to a location a 5* Ocean Front Resort on Sunny Isles Beach, which had II Mulino overlooking the ocean: the food was fair at best, just like the one at Disney. For a top NYC $$$$+, I was expecting more!
I feel like your ratings were a bit more generous than other restaurants, maybe because it was a celebration meal. Some more deserving restaurants have had savage standards for ratings. Also, that old fashioned was clearly shaken and that’s a no no. I feel like if it hadn’t been for a birthday dinner you would have dragged this place.
