    That book and all of the series are outstanding resources for model builders. When the gun was beginning used in Italy, it was kept in a cave when not firing. Trumpeter makes a switcher engine that would be perfect to move it and a simple 3D cave entrance would keep down the size. If you want to just have it at the siding end, I'd recommend the resin kit from CMK of one. They make some railway lamps and a few other things as well. I've never gotten a bad cast from them and I've got a bunch of their kits, figures and detailing kits.

    Wow you have a big un there matey !!! Those squadron books are excellent too for reference material !! You're going need alot of glue and paint here mate

      Its on the large side but it will build up to an impressive looking model when finished well i hope it will.The book is full of great information and some nice pictures as well
