    thanks for reviewing this and providing people with a direct comparison of the two kits! i have to say that i like the trumpeter kit more. better detail in most spots, although the multi part main frame would annoy me a bit and the flash on some parts will require some extra work. it is amazing how different the two kits are. mine has just a bit over 700 parts, yours over 1000! holy cow!

      Thank you Michael :) They are indeed different, though looking at the sprues and identifying the same very parts feels pretty dejavú. I can't decide whether I prefer Dragon or Trumpeter. I think that for 2003 both kits have a pretty high standard. Though if price is an issue, I'd go for the one they offered me at a lower price. Tonnes of fun ahead buddy ;)

    It was interesting watching the kit review by both you and Hammilkar of the same cannon by two different manufactures. One thing about the axles. I believe it was Andy's Hobby Headquarters who did a kit review of one of Trumpeters railroad cars which used the hex ended axles and when he tried to line up both ends, it would tweak one side or the other up. Definitely looking forward to the build videos and final reveal of both of these kits. I just need to get my Atomic Annie off of the shelf of doom and finish it.

      There is a in box kit review on my old pir8hntr channel that I can't get control back from RUclips. It is on my build list to continue this year. Right after Welcome To Potsdorf.

    Damn, that's a huge box of goodness! 1140 parts...wow!! Looks like a great kit, although I;m not turned on by armor, but, I know those grey pieces are going to be put together and made to look alive by their master! Enjoy the build and I look forward to seeing it all come together during 2018! Cheers : )

    Okay, you're nuts!!! And so is Michael! But you are more nuts! This kit is crazy! You two make a great couple, the Leopold and you! ROFL!!! I guess you'll have a lot of fun for many months with it. Will you add a BR 52 engine and a couple of gondolas for the ammunition? Oh, wait, that could cause problems with the space in your house! Well, I must agree that these 100 € are well spent. Maybe apart from the running gear. That didn't look as good as the rest. Very nice review, Daniel! It'll be one of the most interesting buddy builds I've heard of so far. :)

      I felt compelled to get the Trumpeter Leopold after seeing Michael's. Tactical jackalope called it "Barrel envy"

    Now those are both really nice reviews yours and Michaels. You guys really help me a lot so i thank you both a lot.
    I was thinking to build a dio about Leopold many years now. The trumpeter one looks amazing but the multi part main frame would drive me mad so i think i might go with Dragons. Another difference i like to point out is that the Dragons comes with a crew and for Trumpeters you have to buy extra the figure kit....
    Now i want to ask something really important and i hope someone might have an answer. I am thinking to combine Dragons Leopold with Trumpeters WR 360 C12 Locomotive so i am wondering can the railroad lines of the different companies fit together?

    • @Felisbarcinonensis
      @Felisbarcinonensis  7 лет назад

      Bill Koutroulis Thank you for your nice comments Bill. Yes. Dragon's frame looks better and confortable. About the tracks; They say they fit alright, but I don't have first hand experience with Dragon railway tracks
