Andy, it would be a nice reminder of history if the railway car that the WWI German surrender and the WW2 French surrender occurred in could be done in 1/35 scale.
Mind you that those railway cars were luxuries versions so it might be a hell of work to do but yes I agree with you that it would be very interesting....
Hi @andy, If you go to nuremberg toy fair and have some spare time, you should visit the Bahn Museum (german railway museum). They have a huge collection of fantastic models in all kinds of scales. The 1:10 models are super impressive. Incredible detail. You can skip the model railway show. They also have a big collection of full scale locos and passenger railway cars.
Actually Four-wheeled, standard, open coach, Donnerbüchse "Thunderbox" from wikipedia and from deep translate, also because I used to travel on them back in the mid 50s
Being pedantic,(as a German speaker). In German it says "Person wagon". Passenger Wagon would be "Passagierwagon". But great kit thanks for previewing.
I recently punchased the Das Werk (ex Dragon) Sd Kfz 7, witch you also feature here on the channel. Before buying, I noticed some strange black "band" between the engine cowling and the body of the truck. Didn't think twice about it but still noticed. You didn't mention it either. So I bought the kit and upon opening it, I was confused. There is parts for both an early and a late version, aswell as the artillery as the pioneers version but not all parts are included for any of the options. Upon building I discoverred the hull to be warped and bent and if I hadn't watched your video, I would have had the same (awefull) gap. So why does Das Work sell this (very flawed) kit? Why did you not mention it to be flawed? And why would I buy another Das Werk kit if they sell flawed (yours has the same problems as mine) modelkits? Please explain Ps: the kit also comes pre bent in a too small box..
Same question. Would love to have it in 1/48 that would go nicely with O Gauge trains. With MTH Trains curtailing their product lines, European style trains are hard to come by, unless you import Dapol, etc. I think there would be a market for those O Gaugers trying to build a consist of WW2 trains.
@Bilbirk62 just your opinion. Even if it's wrong. You must not have a large collection as many of us do. Especially unbuilt kits. Question, what model railroad scale does the 1/35 model trains kits fall under to be able to run on the train tracks, with regards to the train scale such as HO gauge trains. Which I proudly found the kit in 1/72, ordered it and will arrive next week. 1/76 and 1/72 are quite similar and with a little skill. Then blend in greatly together. 1/35 scale is nice. I've built many in my 54+ years of building. But they take up to much space. Especially when you have a collection as large as many of us do
Does anybody? Know where I could get a 135th scale locomotive engine that was used to pull the door a railcar.I can use these pastor cars for part of that diarrhea as well. But I've been trying to find a local motive. That would pull the dora rail car
Oh Andy! It would be great if you could make that excellent model into a video. I would really like something like that. Greetings from the History channel "HIJOS DE CRONOS"⏳🪐.
Sabre Models make great rail cars. And this is a Sabre Models kit. I ordered from Andy and my kit will arrive this week.
'Passenger Car' would be what I would call this.
I will grab one of these to hook up behind my Trumpeter BR52......when I get around to building that.

This is a Sabre kit. These kits are beautifully detailed and take no prisoners. I have their 80 ton flatcar and I'd buy this one with confidence.
Great subject and good one for you to build up
I sat on wooden benches like tgat on British buses in the late 60s and early 70s. You accept it.
I think Von Ryan's Express instantly when I look at that box art. Imagine a 1/35 scale train from that movie. That would be awesome & possible now.
Very nice model
Andy you gotta build this one. Such a unique kit.
I agree. A 1/35th scale model of the Orient Express Car would be a great collector item.
Cool as always.
Great for conversion to a Hospital Car.
Let's we all hope there will be 1/35 scale BR-41 and BR-01 locomotives in the future 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
awesome Andy can't wait to build one I've just built trumpeter's gondola 135 scale Railcar is going to go well with my diorama

Donnerbüchse is "Thunder Can".
Another possible interpretation could be a „thundering gun“.
It’s a nickname because it was very loud inside the wagon , like a thunder in a can
Actually Four-wheeled, standard, open coach, Donnerbüchse "Thunderbox" from wikipedia and from deep translate, also because I used to travel on them back in the mid 50s
Use grain of wheat bulbs and fibre optics for illumination just like a model railway

Nice 😎😁
So when will we see how that big factory diorama is coming cause this coach could be a good addition
Von Ryans Express
Maybe we'll see some passengers for this other than those from Miniart.
Andy do you know when your store will have the BORDER MODELS 1/35 M4A1 MID SHERMAN

Build it…
What would be the make up of a German train?
Is this kit made in smaller scales, 148 & 1/72

No because then it would be a huge waste of plastic. Anything below 1/35 is wrong

@@Bilbirk62 Well it would seem that Tamiya 1/48 armor does just fine. I plan in fact use some of their kits as flatcar loads for O gauge.
build it please !!
Does it come with surrender figures from France 😂
Does anybody?

This would be a kit I would buy but never build , its too tedious for my liking the most fun for me would be building the toilets
Shame it doesn't come with any passengers or rail workers
In this economy? They've all been fired.
@@scottmccloud9029 😂
@@EverettGajerski 😁😁
They are manning AA guns.
You never know. Das Werk had some figure sets done for their incredible U-9 so if the demand is there... still we have MiniArt
Hobbyzone; very expensive!!
Being more pedantic a Person Wagon in German would be called a Coach in English.
Pair so nen vaw ghen
You pronounce "Werk" like you say "scared", with the same "a"-sound.
