    100% worth the wait! This is an absolute unit of a kit, I can see why it took a while to build, it looks great. This would turn into a monster of a diorama, can’t wait!

    That's a shame your Dragon version of this vehicle got thrown away. It would probably be worth money now as it would be seen as a "vintage" kit as they say.

      Only if he weathers it like he does tank models. Mud caked around the wheels, copious amounts of Grease, and tons of weathering.

      There is a wartime photo of a Mosquito that had flown through a fireball burning off most of the paint to reveal the wood underneath. Now that would look awesome

      Honestly, I build more planes than anything, though I obviously love vehicles, figures, and ships. A Night Shift aircraft would be brilliant!

    You've probably been asked to do this a bajillion times already, but I'd *love* to see you tackle a Warhammer tank kit, while applying all the cool superdetailed modelling tricks and such! I think it'd turn out beautifully. Love your work!

      @@Pint-Painters The BIS lunar lander, a space ship designed for a lunar stay of 2 weeks for 3 men. It wouldn’t be dainty or flimsy like the actual lunar module, it’d be the sort of thing you can bang your fist on. Plenty of rivets to pin wash, plenty of interior detail to add.

    When you mentioned something big in the last video, I was betting it'll be propably 1:16 model. But this, this is way more impressive even. I'm super curious how you balance painting such huge model with your attention to detail.

    I've just started working on a 1/43.5 scale model of one of the few guns even bigger than this - Schwerer Gustav. It is only after I finished 3D printing all the parts for the gun did I realise the completed model won't fit on my current workbench - the construction could be interesting!

    Would your trick gluing the metal punched rivets w/ Mr Cement S onto plastic also work attaching small PE to plastic?

    Thay did a version of this with the rail road cradles for each end so think that is where that ‘travel mode’ comes on. As that would raise the tracks once connected up to a train.

    It's probably not a research error, someone mixed up the Chinese definitions and as a result of that, probably also the translations. It's likely that whoever put the English and Chinese on the page together didn't understand English and/or the subject matter in Chinese well enough to spot what was going on:
    The top one says "Travel mode" in English and says 运输状态 - YunShuZhuangTai - literally: "Transport condition" in Chinese - Both Chinese and English are wrong.
    The bottom one says "Firing mode" in English but actually says 行驶状态 - XingShiZhuangTai - literally: Traveling condition in Chinese. English wrong, Chinese correct.
    Whatever caused it, it's a mess :)

    You can use "diluant cellulosique" instead of Tamiya cement , it makes the same job with the putty for 20time or 30time less expansive . Onyx 7,55€ le litre sur Amazon

    I've found Eduard photo etch to be way too fiddly. I just picked up the 1/700 Flyhawk DKM Scharnhorst 1943 Deluxe kit and I am looking forward to seeing how the Flyhawk photo etch is to work with. That is a monster of a kit! The biggest model I have worked on is the Trumpeter 1/350 HMS Hood. The photo etch killed the kit for me and zapped all my enjoyment from it.

    Hey Nightshift! I love your videos. I have a modelling question for you. Whenever I paint models, usually with a brush, I get little particles of dust or parts of bristles or other crud stuck underneath the paint. Any tips on how to prevent this?

    Pretty sure they mean the wheels are up during rail transport when it's on those cars that hold it. firing mode the tracks are used to aim (traverse). So I hate to be the bearer of bad news. But you glued your suspension on in the wrong position. Look up the rail transport system.

    Nice. That's definitely a big boy. Currently building a T'au Storm Surge for my 40k army. My sons were all griping at me because they thought it wasn't fair for them to field their knights when they played me because they generally won. Personally it's a cool model with a LOT of room for personalizing.
    And I was out of WW2 models for my Bolt Action armies. Yay shipping delays or outright lost/stolen in transit.

    I feel this at 14:50. I fill gaps and paint little details only to cover them up completely. Nobody will ever look or if they did, notice, but *I* would know and every time I looked at the model, it would eat at me, that gaping line swallowing my attention, destroying everything the model could have been….so I cover them up.

    I had seen this kit on the shelf's and pondered weather to grab one . I figured it would not be too big for the model shelf. After seeing your build I think I will pass on it ! I'll stick with the Hobbyboss 1/72 Dora ( yeh ,right ). Your builds are perfect as always my friend ! Cheers.

    Very nice work! I'm currently building the early Karl mortar with the rail transport carriages. It's a huge beast of a thing and nearly 90cm long all up. I'm a glutton for punishment as I am also building a BR-52 steam locomotive to go with it!
