I had a company come out for my E7 fault. They've quoted Fan plus main board plus filter board plus labor.. 1500 bucks! plus the troubleshooting call out fee. I just did the tests from your video and the fan control voltages look good but the fan motor resistance seems awry. So, step 1.. I'll start by just replacing the fan motor.

Yeah definitely, if the voltages out of the board look good, I’d just be ordering the fan motors which by the sounds of it, you could change over yourself 👍🏻

Looks like we got ripped off. Ours was $4,500 and it cuts out in heating mode if the temperature is below 15 degrees. The service guy reckons we need a new system. Won't say exactly what's wrong, just it's an old system.

Good video as always mate, I bet you was thinking the worst when you turned back on and the same fault was flashing? Lol
Love the work wear, never get away with that hear in the UK.

There was definitely a moment of panic haha. I’m just happy the fuse was replaceable. Some boards they are soldered in lol.

How often does it happen? I have E7 and the cost of repair look very high

Iv come across E7 once in 15 years at the time of this comment. I think it’s definitely worth repairing. I doubt it will happen again. Definitely check the outdoor fan motor though.

Is Daikin a good reliable product? I have seen a couple of your videos with the boards gone. Do they have a weak spot? Are they Old units?

My honest opinion is that inverter Air Conditioners in general (all brands) are less reliable then older Air Conditioners. They are less reliable because they have more technology in them and are more temperamental. With that being said, most units I install last a long time. I think it’s got a lot to do with where the units are manufactured and also if it was installed right by the installer. In conclusion, I personally think Daikin are one of the best brands. I have one in my house if that says anything.
