      This wasy biggest issue with Bales batman, he was basically a glorified boxer that bad guys ran towards here we see batman remove their rifles then we see he has a lot of bullet proof armour and lastly they all attack at once. He gets stabbed in the back of the head immediately but you see his cowl is solid and it gets deflected.
      Realistically a real life batman wouldn't work or last so why not make him as bad ass as possible like here

    • @tillscheller
      @tillscheller Год назад +15

      Well Arkham was inspired by a ton of comics and the animated series before it. The games weren't really original at all. Affleck played a very old version of Batman, most inspiration they obviously took from the "Dark Knight Returns" - comics of the late 1980s. It was the first widely popular instance in which he actually acted harsh, violent and really hurt bad guys, mostly for the thrill of it. You can see that when he tries to overpower Superman and acts like a maniac in this movie. Sadly, none of this inner conflict is shown during BvS, neither is the arc he wents through that original comic piece. Snyder imho tries too hard to incorporate too many things in too little time. Not everything is bad, but story and character development still falls short. The new Batman might be boring for most audiences, but for comic enthusiasts it captures the spirit quite well (at least for me).

      It makes me sad that WB studio interference fucked up what he intended both this movie and Dawn of Justice was supposed to be. I mean just about everyone was impressed with the Snyder Cut of Justice (even those who trash everything DC does), and with this movie if they hadn't forced cuts for time it would have been able to better show why Batman was just trying to straight up murder Superman and why Lex Luthor wasn't acting like a slick business criminal but a genuine lunatic, the effect that Darkseid was having on both of them in their sleep to drive them both nuts towards his aim of getting rid of Superman before his forces move on the Earth, and would even make that weird "Martha" sequence make more sense cause it wasn't them going from fighting to bonding over shared mothers' names but it was about snapping Batman out of that subconscious drive to kill "the other" that had been put in his head. And now it seems we'll never get the parts 2 and 3 that the Justice League storyline was to have, including evil superman and bringing martian manhunter and green lantern into play and all of that.

      The Bale movies are great but some of the fight scenes are terrible. The rooftop fight scene where he fight guys with Catwoman for example. One of the thug gets hit by no one and falls on his back. Bale's Batman look like he is an expert at martial art as long as the fight is done standing up and none of the hits really look like they would do that much damage. This Batfleck scene reminds me of the Dark knight Returns quote "This isn't a mudhole, it's an operating table and I am the surgeon". He doesn't just punch and kick the guys around. What changed this movie from poor to pretty good is the ultimate edition which adds close to an hour to it's runtime and adds many scenes that pace the entire movie much better and give better background to stuff happening in the movie. When they have him down on the ground and he keeps blocking their slices with his wrist guards is sick as well. Love this scene. His fight with superman in the alley is fantastic too. The lead smoke grenades and kryptonite gas... man this movie has some seriously good scenes. MoS > BvS any day, but it's still a good movie.

      - the one who got first hit by a heavy crate and then hit the wall, his head sandwiched between crate and wall.
