1) ഡോക്ടർ പറഞ്ഞ പോലെ plunger അമർത്തിയ ശേഷം ഒരു മിനിറ്റ് മുതൽ 2 മിനിറ്റ് വരെ retain ചെയ്തിട്ടുപോലും ചെറിയൊരു droplet ബാക്കി നിൽക്കുന്നു (Not always, but at times only). എന്തു ചെയ്യണം
2) ഒരു cartridge Last dose എടുക്കാനായി ഡോസ് ഡയൽ പരമാവധി തിരിച്ച് (No further turning is possible) injections എടുത്ത് നോക്കുമ്പോഴും ഏതാണ്ട് അര സെമീ കനത്തിലുള്ള ഇൻസുലിൻ unused ആയി waste ആവുന്നു. How can I fully use it?
3) മുൻ episode ൽ കാണിച്ച injection pattern template എവിടെ കിട്ടും?

Thanks for your query. Insulins are very temperature sensitive. In general, Insulins can tolerate temperatures of upto 25 degree celsius. Hence, the Insulin that u r using can be kept in ur bag as long as u don't leave ur bag in the hot sun or exposed to direct heat. However, to be on the safer side, I recommend my patients to store Insulin in the fridge (NOT the freezer), take it out about 15 minutes before the injection, use it and keep it back in the fridge. Insulin that u buy in bulk for long term use MUST be stored in the fridge. Hope it's clear. Thanks once again...

When traveling how do we manage the insulin pen, particularly when refrigeration is not easily available. I want to know if not kept in refrigerator the insulin will lose it's potency? ie while traveling long distance by train etc...

Thanks for ur question. I have already answered this for another person. Please go thru it. I will add here that nowadays, travel packs for insulin r available. It consists of a pouch with a gel that can be frozen and retains its temperature for over 24 hours. Very useful for non AC train journeys.
