@@julieeverett7442 They already made one for each Doctor, the Pyramids of Mars episode is the 7th episode.
Three of them are even episodes you suggested: The Mind Robber is Tales of the TARDIS episode 2, The Three Doctors is TotT #4, and The Curse of Fenric is TotT #6.
However for the First Doctor (TotT #5) they did The Time Meddler, for the Fifth Doctor (TotT #1) they did Earthshock, and for the Sixth Doctor (TotT #3) they did Vengeance on Varos.
There really isn't a reason to do the 8th Doctor, aside from the movie other stuff like Night of the Doctor was already made in the modern era and is already the length of the new scenes in Tales of the TARDIS already.
Also technically - episode 7 is a prequel to episodes 1 to 6. Episode 7 takes places in the middle of Empire of Death right after the Remembered TARDIS is created.

Just a couple of things to add:
    - Yeah, that scene of The Doctor pushing the corpse away like it's nothing is very, well, alien. It's the kind of thing that NewWho doesn't do much, show the more alien side of The Doctor that sees things from the wider perspective. It's, y'know, cool.
    - The respiratory bypass system is something that NewWho has actually used, they just never name it. It's basically a little thing of Gallifreyan biology that allows them to go without breathing for a lot longer than, for example, humans. It's how The Doctor did that space walk in "Oxygen" or stayed awake in a hospital that was losing oxygen in "Smith and Jones".

I'm not sure if US fans and other non UK fans of Dr. who know but we have something called BBC IPlayer which is all BBC shows on demand and it has every single episode of classic who from from William Hartnell's Era to Sylvester McCoy's Era. I believe some of the lost episodes have been Animated as the audio from the episodes are still around. So it's so cool to be able to watch all of classic who on demand. I'm currently going thru all of it and only on Jon Pertwee 3rd doctor Era:) (if you wanna use it a VPN should do the job if you're not from the UK)

      Shame on you, promoting piracy.
If folk don't have a subscription service or a local public broadcaster showing these episodes then folk can support the creators by buying or renting them.

@Tao_Tology not everyone can afford to buy over 30 seasons of a tv show, not everyone is as privileged as you. So if a vpn makes it easier and more affordable for some to enjoy a show or movie. So get over yourself lol

They are simply new edits of classic stories, made into a feature length story. Bookended with new scenes. Usually with a former doctor and companion from those stories reminiscing about that story and their time together. They are great. That new TARDIS, the remembered TARDIS. Will have its origins explained in this seasons finale.

I'm glad you were able to get to experience the pyramid of Mars it is a shame you don't have the time to watch all the classic era but perhaps you could do recommendations for the classic era for example you could do three episodes of each of the classic doctors that way you don't have to go through all the classic era but you're able to enjoy the best of it😊

This was actually 4 episodes. They cut some of the story to fit it in an hour time slot (mostly in part 4 where the Doctor and Sarah Jane had to solve a series of puzzles). FYI, the respiratory bypass has been mentioned a few times in the modern show. Most notably in the Christopher Eccleston episode “Dalek when the Doctor is being examined.

In the beginning of the story when the Tardis gets fubared and Sarah sees Sue Tech😊 in the TARDIS, they are traveling back in time crossing when the Doctor shoves him up the time tunnel at the end and that's when he latches on to the Tardis as mentioned in Empire of Death. It is not explicitly stated in the story but that's the implication. Someone already made a video on RUclips merging the two events. I believe it's titled something like "Sutekh latches onto the Tardis" or something like that. It makes perfect sense and explains the beginning of the story. Wibbly wobbly timey whimey...

That was awesome! Goin' Old Skool YESS! So many memories, late 70s on PBS at 3PM on a Saturday. Yes, the tunnel corridor effect leading to Sutekh's prison was updated I see. I remember my dad laughing when he saw those two mummies squishing that hunter between them. That turn on the heels that Tom Baker and Elizabeth Sladen did was taken from old movies with Buster Keaton or someone in that era. About a hundred years ago someone did it first.

29:07 You guys should’ve continued making reaction videos to The Sarah Jane Adventures, it’s a great watch/show that featured 2️⃣ Doctors (10 & 11) as guest appearances, plus it’s a perfect spin off (which is rare) 🤣. Afterwards more reaction videos to Tales Of The Tardis cause one episode will make sense after watching all episodes of The Sarah Jane Adventures 😉🤓

On thinking about it I am dissapointed in the special effects they used for the Sarcophogous travel method. I'd have preferred the original multi-coloured lines effect had just been updated to look better rather than being completely changed to this new one.

  • @dangerman5617

Tom Baker is the best incarnation of the Doctor because he makes you believe he is otherworldly. Baker has the best horror stories, the best companions and best final season. The scarf is also iconic. Mediocre Tennant portrays the same character as a space playboy picking up Earth girls every week. Baker plays him like an intergalactic tour guide taking us through the dangerous minefield that is the universe.
