  • Video showing you the underside of the switch chassis and explaining how to remove it. Volkswagen CC Passat 2010 2009 2011 2012 2013 2014. I'm guessing the design is the same for all years of the CC and probably the Passat as well but all I have personal experience with was the 2010 model I have which is a lux but I think they all probably have the same power window controller.

Thank you for the only video I was really looking for. Although 7 years later still a good video, once again thank you very much

Thank you, Aaron. Just replaced my switch. Thanks to you/your video, I saved $$$ and the hassle of leaving my car at the shop for 1 day. You rock.

Thanks for the video. Was concerned I would need to take the door apart. Once I watched your video I ordered the part from Amazon and just installed it 5 minutes ago. The OEM window switches were trashed. There was so much plastic hitting the ground when I removed it I have no idea how they were still functional. The auto up/down function on the new switches are less sensitive and will require getting used to but overall the new chassis seems much better built. A heads-up to anyone ordering the unit from Amazon: you won't find a better price @ $8 + $3 shipping but it took about 3 weeks to make the journey from China to Texas.

I'm having a problem where my battery drains on my 09 VW cc. The windows seem to act up. The driver rear window works when it wants to and all the windows lower 2 inches everytime I try to start it. switches maybe? I'm tired of jump starting it every day.

Anyway you could share that link if it’s still available. Can’t seem to find one on amazon

Thanks. This was a big help. Saved me real $ and time. Got my switch from eEuroparts.

Just installed a replacement master power window switch, myself, in my 09 CC. Something broke on my front driver window and my auto up wouldn't work.
    Quick and easy fix.

Thanks - doesn't look difficult at all. All passenger switches work, but the front passenger switch on the driver's master control doesn't work indicating the front passenger switch is "broken". Wonder if I can take it apart and fix it or do you have to go and buy a new master control panel?

Aaron Roush can you change one of the 4 switches if only one is broken??

I have a 2012 vw cc and water literally fell all over my driver side window switch and I can still open the rear windows with it but I can't open the driver or front passenger with it. Should I replace the whole unit? Also how did you pop that switch up? I'm trying but it seems like it wants to break and I don't want to break the damn thing...

Thanks for the pop-out explanation. Did you just replace the one tab? Does it come out easily or is there a trick to that 🤔

I replaced all four I think, it was years ago. Think they may have come as a four switch package. They do come off easily it’s just one of those plugs with a tab so as long as you take a look at it to see how it works it’s easy to remove.

1:15 how did you replace the switches individually?

If I remember right the four switches were one piece and just plugged in the backside. I don’t think I replaced them individually.

Did the replacement have the same silver tips as the factory or was it all black plastic ? Insignificant detail I know, just curious.

Yes the replacements had the chrome tips. They actually felt a little more like metal than the Factory switches I took out. The switches are still working fine.
