Super-presentation...step by step, I love it !
Just bought a 2013 limited. I’m doing this. All I need. Thank you!!!
Did you end up putting these on? If so how do you like it?
Wow this is amazing with basically just bolt ons that even a DIYer can do. Damn 400+ HP that is sports truck range. Biggest thing that amazed me are how vital the coils are in HP and torque. I'll probably just change the coils myself for the crazy jump in HP and torque with those coils. 25+ hp increase is no joke for just a 15 min job.
You can swap those parts but don't forget to get a proper tune. It's not going to do anything if the computer thinks you're still stock.
Nice to see the difference each mod made. Next tests should be turbo adapters and thermostat.
turbo adapter did not help so they left them out of the story
Turbo adaptor did not help 😂😂😂 fake news
Just bought these plugs for a stock 14 f150 ecoboost and they work!. I only push the pedal 25% now and 1st gear is breaking tires! Noticeable gain. B4, pedal 50% or more for same scenario. Can't wait to get a tune next!
Plugs?
Bought coils 3 weeks ago and I added the intercooler!! Fast!! Gotta get the tune now!!
Love the product, but I wish your coils would be available for the 2.7 EB, which is %60 of the F150 sales. The first and second 2nd Gen. Plus other SUV's and the FFS.
Those hp and torq number are extremely impressive.
So the most bang for the buck appears to be coils, tune and exhaust. I know the air intake and tune were done at the same time, but from my research, aftermarket air intakes don't seem to offer much improvement over stock air intake on the EcoBoost engine.
@Granatellimtrsprts Joe this is a great vid. You really showed how you do the baseline runs, add products, do more runs. You showed where some mod's actually lost power. This really is a great vid. Thanks.
Thank you my brother you truly saved me 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Can’t wait to upgrade mine.
Now you need super powerful brake! Awesome video, thank you!
Wow! Pretty amazing gains. What does all of this mean for life expectancy of the engine and transmission. And what does it do for fuel economy? Can you also please link to the parts and pieces needed to do these mods?
Great video, but know, for the love of God, please offer the extreme coils for the first 2.7 Ecoboost. It's about time to make them .
Just want to point out that a 365 hp motor, that dyno's 279 hp has a drivetrain loss of roughly 24% not 18%.. Cause you know.. Math.
Lol
A lot comes into play, operating temps have a big impact, if it was cold it would be much higher, I had a old supercoupe that was super charged, it would have another 60 hp in the wintertime
It was a 6 year old truck at the time, it likely didn't make the advertised number at the crank with 6 years of wear and tear.
Not necessarily... every dyno is different and is only good for comparing before and after results. That’s it. Some dynos show this engine stock upwards 330 hp.
Who the fuck cares!!
Trey K something is definitely wrong here. 2019s 2.7l seems like on average make 315
Joey !!! You helped me with my 88 IROC !
Now for the $50,000 question. How much?
well we don't sell the whole package we old sell the Coils
These motors really move with 20psi minimum
How much are the coils for the 3.5 ecoboost?
@@paulhood7373 517$
Great video. Great information. I'm ready to kick up my 2015 3.5 eb
I have a 2013 F-150 limited Ecoboost I would like to upgrade. Do you have a package you would recommend?
You probably already figured it out, but I would do CAI + tune first
Love my 2011 f150 ecoboost 3.5 bad to bone
I'm making 740 to all 4 wheels with all my upgrades
Insane i got a 2011 3.5 i want to do this 💯
I clicked on this video not knowing anything about it other than it was about a Ford EcoBoost. I’m an old guy from Indianapolis and my first thought was, “Wow, this guy looks like ‘Mister 500’ Andy Granatelli.” Two seconds later, I realized why...
I’d like to see these same progression of mods done to a 17+ f150 with the 2nd gen 3.5 eco boost. These numbers are impressive. One thing I’m curious is, what octane did they use? I also am curious how it affects the longevity of the transmission and the engine.
91 octane
I did all that to my Subaru wrx and I got 303 whp but for f150 that’s insane
Its crazy to me now days how little people know about engine's and how to make power. By reading these commits. Boost , timing and fuel just a tune alone you can get crazy numbers the problem is running out of fuel so for big boost and timing on the stock high pressure fuel pump you need to run methanol. Or pay 1500 for a more psi mechanical fuel pump.
As a former EcoBoost F150 owner I wouldn't go any higher than 17 psi. I was running 22 peak and completely destroyed the engine at 48k miles. I had a CAI, Tune, catless down pipe and straight pipe from there. The thing was mustang GT fast for about 6 months before it blew. Luckily it was covered under warranty but I'll never mess with the EcoBoosts again! A ford 5.0 can handle a few hundred extra HP with no issues the ecoboost can't.
Michael Hill who did your tuning?
@@1tylerproud More power Tuning. I used them on several occasions but never had anyone else validate that they were safe
Michael Hill I had a diesel one time that had a dark night tune. It was fun until one day it wasn’t. Now I’m not so keen to tune.
I need those coil packs, amazing!!
You should build my truck next😋 2012 EcoBoost as well
Incredible 😍
Great video! I didnt really think that a performance exhaust could give you a 23 to 24 hp improvement. Also, is he saying twerk or torque?
How will the transmission hold up with these upgrades? Great video!
This truck now has over 100k miles and the truck is running strong
Amazing video! ! I’m thinking of purchasing these coil packs for my 14 Ford Tremor FX2, just waiting on my corsa exhaust I just order and my high flow cats with turbo adapters! I currently have Wagner Inter cooler with a dual intake upgrade! I’m located in Los Ángeles and will love for you guys to Tune my truck! How much will it cost for a dyno and tune ? I’m highly interested! I would like to know if I can also just buy the coil packs right there and then ?
???
Were all tests performed using 87 octane gasoline? Is there more power available by switching to 91 octane?
Hey, I have a 2021 F150 XLT Supercab with a 400 hp 3.5 eco boost. The new 3.5 Eco boast is 400 horse at the crank. Can you guys make the same kind of improvements to my truck and would that void my warranty?
These engine make a lot of power with just small amount of bolt on stuff looking at getting a down pipe for mine. Looks like I will have to get a set of the coils to
Nice video, When are you going to offer coils for 2018 and newer 3.5's?
Do you have anything for the 2.7 liter ecoboost?
I never understood loss of HP from crank to wheel and why it’s calculated in percentage. If an engine has 100 hp at the crank and only registers 82 hp at the wheel, then it’s an 18 hp loss m (18%). However, if you that that engine up to 1000 hp without changing the transmission, drive shaft, or wheel/tire, why is the loss all of a sudden 180 hp? Why wouldn’t the loss still be 18 hp?
You can just change the formula with new numbers?
Edit: I just got to the part where he says that and I hope he just misspoke because that wouldn't work like that.
Can you get power gains with a air intake and exhaust no tune so warranty stays good
Maybe you will feel a bit more in the upper rpms
Would this be the same principle on a 3.5 EcoBoost Taurus?
Cory Brown yes
The dyno tie down chains are are about to break, stressed to the limit, get bigger ones!! Get the alloy chains. Go Ford Go!
Hello I have a 2013 f150 ecoboost. I have added amber 4" fatback are stage 2 dry filter kishimoto intercooler granatelli coils and fords colder plugs also sct x4 tuner truck needs a dyno tune to truly feel it. Ive probably got roughly 2500 into it. That will give you a rough range of price
Get the mpt prx tune for your tuner and you won't be disappointed. Gave me about 105hp. Ridiculously fast..
Hi, looking to get your coilpacks for my 2013 ecoboost. It has 200k miles and runs smooth, still recommend? Also, on your site i see item but is it a pack of 6 or do i need to order 6 of them? Thank you!
they come in packs of 6
please call in and we can help you out 805-486-6644
Anyone know what you can “safely” push out of these trucks? Boost wise? On stock everything just with a tune
Also how reliable is this truck to try to get 500whp? To keep as a daily driver
Nice work!
Hey love the video can you send me a link of all the parts you got for the truck I just bought a 2012 f-150 EcoBoost lariat and want!! Thanks
I'm retired don't put much mileage on my 2013 3.5 I drlled a hole on the bottom of intercooler catch can is next I just want long gravity suggestions
How would boosting the boost numbers on stock internal engine components speak to engine longevity?
From Ford they build the Eco Boost to be bullet proof. With the upgrades we did the engine is still in the SAFE zone and we are not pushing this truck to its breaking point
Pop a timing chain and a lot of parts turn to dust.
Where can I get it? I want to buy it the package
I have a 2016 4x4 4 door 3.5 , I'd like to do all those mod's you've mentioned in your great video, how much should I be paying for those thru you.
How would this compare to a 2014 Explorer Sport? I know they don’t make an Intercooler upgrade. What coils would you recommend? Also you didn’t mention changing the map sensor did this have a 3 bar map or changed thermostat?
Coils that are 600 bones? With installation this must have costed 5,000 or more total that's big money for bolt on's,
He probably gained from properly gapped new spark plugs, but pushing to sell coils.
Most bang for the buck will be intercooler, new higher heat plugs, custom tune - total of $1,000 - install it your self ...be a man. Gain within 30 hp of what he has.
Having loads more power at low rpms then 6.2l Chevy (even if its fully modified NA), priceless.
600 dollar coils. They better give 60hp at least. We know they won't though.
Is there a kit to buy all the thing in this video
Hello
How can upgrade the part for my transit 250 encoboot thx
Hii what year is the best truck f150 ecoboost ❓❓
I drive a 2018 Ford Raptor do the EcoBoost in the F-150 and the Raptor put the same output do you know I'm fixing to get it tuned and I'm buying both on for it
i have a question if you lean it out a little and then hot coils will that burn holes in the top of pistons after a while ?? just thinking of the longevity of the engine dont want to spend that kinda money if i got to put new pistons in it year down the road???
Do the new coils have a higher primary amp draw that the stock coils?
He literally explained it… wtf
What you recommend me for my 2020 f150 3.5 ecoboost stock
Is there anyway i can get a direct link to all the mods so i can purchase
We just did the install on this one - we dont sell all the various manufactures parts - perhaps we should
@@vincenzogranatelli1622 UM...yeah you should. Put them in a package deals of various stages. I have a 2011, I like the numbers I saw on the dyno in each step of modification. You know, each piece individually sells at x price. but if you buy piece 1 and 2 you get -10%. pieces 3 and 4 -10% if you buy the entire kit you get -20% on the entire build, theyd sell like hotcakes!!!
I wish you would have left part numbers or links
I just bought a 2012 f150 ecoboost twin turbo. Love it. Wish I had the funds to do a makeover. Had 147,000 klm.
A question: the previous owner did a cold air intake, but did the vent to atmosphere. Is there any downfalls to having this done? I noticed oil spray where they vent.
c barteaux
buy a catch can, and a metanol kit.
Chances are that your intake valves have some coking on them.
Newer ecoboost engines have a secondary throttle body injection to work in conjunction with the direct injection to clean the valves up.
The methanol kit should clean it up while increasing your pre-ignition threshold.
grab you one of the 140 dollar catch can kits and roll with it.
@@drunkinmaster1 throttle body injection? I believe you meant port injection!
Did you stop making / selling these coils? I only see coil kits for the 5.0 on your website now.

Oil Pump and Turbo blow offs keep up with these upgrades?
Please do a new one with the gen 2 motor!!!
How reliable is this??
Car is still running strong with over 100 k miles
What's the final cost for all of the parts in the video as a package?
RyanBellMusic they mention about $4 K
We just did the install on this one - we dont sell all the various manufactures parts - perhaps we should
One question, the cost of all upgrades?
You said you fattend it up compared to Livernois AFR correct?
Good Video.....
There are many Poor Mans way to bring Performance to your Personal Vehicle without harm, if ya know how to read furl trim?
These numbers seem unimpressive considering the base 3.5 L has 365 hp and 420 ftlb torque. Why are these values so much lower? Is this the 2.7 L v6?
These are rear wheel HP not crank HP. The factory only tells you the crank Hp. Where the dyno gives you the real numbers
@@GranatelliMotorSports ah thanks. I didn't know that!
it would be nice if you sold this stuff for the ecoboost
Do you have ignition packs for 2016 ford edge sport with 2.7 twin turbo?
How much heat was added to the engine and cooling system after the added turbo boost?
No Boost was added.
As seen @11:27 in the video
We just allowed the truck to breath better
Would you add a catch-can ?
Why nothing for the Fiesta St?
Do you have any coil pack for the 2017 Ford Raptor
We do. Our 3.5L EcoBoost Ignition Coils can be found at the link below (P/N: 26-0646CP):

I would like to no what mpg is on it after maybe intake and intercooler
With know tune
We did not test the MPG with only the intake and intercooler
YES = please call in 805-486-6644
Have you guys done any work on the 2.7 or 3.5 with the 10 speed?
i had a 2.7 10 speed ecoboost, and they fly when stock, literally
it was the 2018... got repo'd lmfao
whats the gas mileage after these mods?
Lower 13 to 16 mpg
What did the sum total of the mods do for MPG?
Will this work for a 2018?
Are the coiles legal in California? Will they pass the smog inspection?
Yes
Can you expect the same gains with the new gen-2 3.5eb, 10 speed
Yes
With this increase of power how does the engine internals and axles/differentials handle the increased power
Ford from factory builds the ecoboost very strong. The engine should be able to handle the extra HP no problem
Granatellimtrsprts thanks for the response. How would the axles and differentials handle? Have u seen or heard of any issues
The owner of the truck has had no problems. He uses his truck to tow his toys around at lease once month.
No Problem so far
The coil only boost is very fishy to me. I would like a better explanation please.
Granatelli coils put out almost DOUBLE the output of stock coils.
Cleaner spark= More HP, TQ and best of all MPG
Granatellimtrsprts very respectfully... the coil and the spark plug basically represent a circuit.. lower cylinder pressures don’t require as much voltage to “ complete “ the circuit. In fact the potential to go higher can’t be utilized.. this can be proven on an old time Sun scope. With that said the higher the cylinder pressures are the more voltage is required... true enough.. but the stock coils should be good to 50 k or so. So my point is if your stock coils are meeting the requirements, I.e. not causing a miss... then the higher potential is just not utilized... also higher primary currents can be detrimental to the PCM drivers.. I appreciate any other thoughts.
Did you tune between each one?
No just that one time in the video
I asked the dealership about after market tuners voiding the warranty.. They said any after market tuners or performance parts would void it.. Do your parts and tuners pick up the warranty??
Granatelli Coils will not void warranty
I know for fact the coils are 50 state legal and dont void the warranty. All tuners do for sure - however, Ford sells their own and it does not void it - naturally they want to push you directly to their shi-zzle
This wont void it...
JMS BX600035 BOOSTMAX 3.5L Ford www.amazon.com/dp/B00L94NFDU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_bBiADbSYFG8VY
I have still never seen an intake ONLY dyno for the f150 Ecoboost. Aka WITHOUT the tuner. I want to know if the gains are just purely the tune with the intake making zero difference.
its in the tune
Wouldn't it be both... you're tuning a motor that can breathe... it's like taking steroids and not working out or working out without steroids... you don't get the massive gains you want without both...lol
An intake will add zero power. When you need an intake is when you probably upgrade turbos in these trucks. 450 HP is no problem with the stock box and a better filter.
Where are you guys located?😮
Oxnard CA
Reliability?
What is the setup up for this f150?
And the MPG just dropped to about the same as a 5.4l triton...12.8mpg all around.
MPG on this truck went up
