Can confirm. That's where theater workers come from. We were once abandoned by our parents for throwing tantrums by a movie theater concessions stand. Our forebears raised us and we live at the mercy of the concession stand

Her using both of Trisha’s sets of pronouns made me so happy. It isn’t much, and I know praising people for the bare minimum is stupid. But it just gives me hope that more people can be accepting

Yeah its hard to find people that use they/them let alone switch between pronouns.
I really reallllllly dislike they/them as a singular third person pronoun. It's nothing to do with gender identity, I just find the additional grammatical ambiguity it introduces to the English language to be profoundly aggravating. Sure, we sometimes use they/them for single individuals of unknown identity (e.g. 'the plumber is coming around next week, they are going to fix the radiator'), but for known individuals it means that half the time when we use they/them in the plural, you _could_ be referring to a single individual. This isn't like redefining a word to be inclusive, it's core grammar that changes the potential meaning of most spoken English sentences.
It's only not an issue right now because so few people go by they/them, people essentially ignore the possibility most of the time unless they know the gender identity of the person/people in question.
You already see this with musicians - some bands are named after people. If you say 'Coming up next is Sam Smith, they have realised a new song' you could either mean 'a band called Sam Smith' or 'Sam Smith, a person'.
I'll still use they/them in person so as not to be an arse and avoid an argument, but, to be honest, if I meet someone who goes by they/them I'm going to avoid referring to them if possible. I don't like feeling a pinch of annoyance every time I have to speak about someone.
