*SPECIAL* NYCTA: 1999 Novabus T80206 RTS

In honor of the RTSs, I decided to do a compilation showcasing 1999 Novabus T80206 RTS #5249 which is one of the newest editions to the museum fleet!!
This bus looks and sounds AMAZING!!!!!! I'm soooooo glad they preserved this gem as it is the LAST Novabus T80206 RTS ever manufactured!!
note: as of May 6th 2019 the RTSs are officially retired after 38 years of service!!!

Hi Kal-El, it's very sad to retire this beauties, in favor of electric buses, 40 years in continous service. That's a crazy idea of MTA to phase out diesel and CNG buses to electric, like Los Angeles, no way. But, the 5249 is now a museum fleet.

The twinvision signs are always glitching up and I think the fleet number plate looks fine the way it is. There's also another RTS going in the museum fleet and it's 8971

The rear destination sign never worked the entire time it was at Quill. The rear sign on 5249 has remain unchanged for over a decade.

There are some in the museum fleet and some kept for various purposes but there's no more RTSs in revenue service
