I was there!!! I’m the dude in the pink hoodie. I was riding the atv. These were the most amazing guys nicest people you ever met running on no sleep for over 24 hours after Florida and they still came to the rescue. I shook hands and bumped fists with everyone. Truly an awesome experience getting to meet so many of my hero’s. Broke the tie rod in half on the quad following them out after the red truck got free and got dragged behind Dave’s truck to the trail head and caught a ride down in the big green tow truck.
The trail is very deceiving the beginning is easy and open and it gets worse as it goes. I was on the 4x4 atv you see in the video I rode up and down the entire trail without a problem and ran into the guys in the white Tacoma who were buried then the other truck showed up and got stuck.
@@shadetreeshenanigans768 those guys that got stuck have no idea what they are doing. Had it in 2wd while they pulled him the first time, and had his wheel turned so they had to overcome that. Then he just whiskey throttles it back down the hill again??? Were they drunk?
@@Not_Tony The video doesn’t do the situation justice they had the red truck back up after the first pull to make space to turn around the machine to get the track back on. He was high centered and his wheels spun them caught and he slid down in a sketchy way he wasn’t really goosing it or anything extreme just a really shitty spot. Dave you looked tired from all the fun you had in Fl but being the nice guy you are you still went and helped to get them out and free again . And like all other times you did a great job of it .
We had a case here where two guys in 4x4 pickups when WAY up a logging road in the middle of winter in really deep snow. The only problem was that they made it, because the snow was really deep. The track they were following was packed enough to hold them, but when they reached the end, the first truck sank to the top of the hood as soon as he tried to turn. The other guy tried pulling him out, slid off the track, and also sank. They walked all the way back down (no cell phones and no service, anyway) and eventually called a towing company. He decided to go up with his 5 ton wrecker. He made it all the way, hooked onto both trucks, slid off the track, and sank to the top of HIS hood. I the end, they got hold of a local logging company, and they went up with a skidded with chains and a blade. He plowed the road going up, hooked onto all three vehicles, and yanked them down to the highway, where tow trucks took them home. All three trucks had to sit inside and wait for the snow packed all around their engines to melt. We got the story directly from the tow truck owner, because we got stuck with our custom 1-ton 4x4 wrecker pulling a sinking boat out on our trailer. The main ramp was covered in ice, so we had to use the old makeshift public ramp, which had a drop-off because of dredging. The boat was sinking, so we had to back out till the trailer tires went over the edge. The front end of our truck just came off the ground and the backs started digging when we tried to pull it. We called the towing company to have him bring his 5-ton tow truck, but it was sitting in his shop with the engine packed in snow, so he ended up having to bring both of his 1-tons to get us out. It was too bad we didn't have any way to record it (no cell phones cameras then), because it was quite a sight. All three tow trucks were doing wheel stands pulling that boat out until the tires came over the drop! But in the end, the rescue was a success all around, and the boat was back in service again shortly.
You guyz never cease to amaze me, even when your tired. Fantastic skills, massive team work, and still time for fun and laughter. Much respect and appreciation for your craft guyz....

You guys are a blessing in disguise - hope everyone out there appreciates you guys - Amazing job as always- Dave you need some rest buddy you look blown out
Glad to see you guy's getting these truck's out. I have seen truck's left on that trail for months until the snow melts. And thanks for removing that rock I have smashed up several rocker's on that bastard.
I have a question for you when backing that track thang up do you back it like a trailer or does it take over like the front and steer that way or Or does all the tracks on one side work when you're turning As if it was just one continuous piece I don't know I confused myself just asking the question
@@shadetreeshenanigans768 Cool, Thanks for the info. That is an awesome machine! I was wincing when it got stuck and thought it would break down because of that one rock hitting its track/wheels. Glad it didn't.
Another great job guys! if you're going to use surplus military stuff(in my opinion, the best), you should get a monster M88. The biggest, baddest tracked tow vehicle EVER! It was built to tow 60 ton tanks. that should give you a pretty good idea. you have the heavy haul trucks to move it. Why not? It's called a HURCULES:Heavy Equipment Recovery Combat Utility Lifting Extraction System. With an acronym like that, who wouldn't want one? I'll drive!
When I was an Army mechanic contractor I worked on tracked vehicles. Usually the reason a vehicle threw a track was because they weren't adjusted properly. Proper tension of the track is essential and I noticed that when you were loading it the tracks were loose. The second most reason is because something was misaligned either by wear or because something was bent. You might also look into whether track guards can be added to help keep the track in place like bulldozers have.
The guy in the Tacoma was my old tenant. He swung by the day after the recovery and told me the whole story and I’ve been waiting for this video to drop. It’s sweet seeing some people I know pop up on the channel
Absolutely nuts and love the fact of not stopping until you got the worst one unstuck and how hard was it to reverse it all the way down that trail pulling the second truck
Anyone from his crew could of come out and made it look easy. He's got an awesome crew and their all really well trained in the art of recovery. Definitely would of made this much easier I'm sure.
This is just pure awesome these guys can do anything they set there minds to even on no sleep. Keep the good work up man we need more people like you in this world.
Thanks for reminding us all, to always be prepared. So true. I am from Squaw Valley, CA and it can be 98 there in the summer, yet snowing in the national park. If you are not prepared, you could lose your life. There is no cell phone reception there.
Dave sounded so drained, more drained then his crew and yet his crew was trying to finish the rescue job the next day, but of course Dave told his crew that their gonna finish the job the same night. Hats off to you Dave you are the MAN 👊
honestly you guys need to invest in some rockbreaking equipment. use a hammer drill to drill into the rock, pour in rockbreaking concrete, come back the next day. if that takes too long, you can drill holes and pound in wedges. if that takes too long/too much effot, use a Micro Blaster or similar, basically .22 blanks dropped into drill holes and percussion triggered remotely
Good on you guys for going to help them after a long trip from FL then powering through the obstacles to ensure the random strangers made it home safely. Love the content and everything you guys do! If you need an extra engineer I could be convinced to move to UT haha
Your video editors leave out the most interesting parts of a recovery and leave in all the boring parts with people just walking or standing around. Quality editing right there

Looks like you have another wannabe, Dave! 👆

You guyz never cease to amaze me, even when your tired. Fantastic skills, massive team work, and still time for fun and laughter. Much respect and appreciation for your craft guyz....
I'm surprised every time you all get things out how good you all are. You don't lose your mind over little things and you keep plugging along. I raised my hat to all of you for all the hard work you do.

I was wondering why it was attached in the first place.
I have the same damn questions! So many questions..
Yeah, I was wondering that. From what I saw I don't think it can be detached easily. But looking at the back tracks they do seem to have power?
All the tracks have power there is a big coupling in the center with hydraulic rams that steer the 2 sections against each other.
I'll drive!
As always the filming, editing and soundtrack are perfect. Your team is legit.
Great video. Dave and his guys looks out of it! Totally exhausted! I personally work 6 days a week and know the look all to well! Take a few days!
Hey Dave! Just wanted to let you know I was just ordered one of the 126 remaining ropes! Cant wait to put it to the test!
What would it cost to get those trucks recovered? I can't imagine with the convoy Dave rolls with.
You guys risk your lives to safe people only Ángels do that God bless all of you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I love your recovery video especially when you have to recover yourselves too.
The guy in the Tacoma was my old tenant. He swung by the day after the recovery and told me the whole story and I’ve been waiting for this video to drop. It’s sweet seeing some people I know pop up on the channel
You guys never seize to amaze God bless you all ❤
Absolutely nuts and love the fact of not stopping until you got the worst one unstuck and how hard was it to reverse it all the way down that trail pulling the second truck
Seems like everyone you help or recover ends up being part of the team 🤔 I might have to go to Utah and get stuck 😂👍👍❤
Might have said it before, but your video editing is quite simply world class. Great show, guys.
I would love to work for Heavy D going on crazy recoveries and building sick recovery vehicle
You are earning your angel wings!! You're crew always seems to have such a good attitude even when your tired. Keep up the good work!!
You've got to love an extreme recovery, life never goes as planned 😂
Good recovery for them and yourselves. That was awesome. Glad no one got hurt or fell down the steep hill.
These guys were all running on no sleep for over 24 hours and still made it happen!!
Awsome vehicles. I drove a BV206 on the Somerset levels for the flood relief over here in the UK back in 2014.
Matt with Matt's off road recovery would have had it done in 2 hrs plus the weather report.
Haha 😂 trueee
Anyone from his crew could of come out and made it look easy. He's got an awesome crew and their all really well trained in the art of recovery. Definitely would of made this much easier I'm sure.
This is just pure awesome these guys can do anything they set there minds to even on no sleep. Keep the good work up man we need more people like you in this world.
Hey Dave, do you charge these clients or just do it. Love all of your content, please keep it coming and god bless!
Thanks for reminding us all, to always be prepared. So true. I am from Squaw Valley, CA and it can be 98 there in the summer, yet snowing in the national park. If you are not prepared, you could lose your life. There is no cell phone reception there.
You and Matt s recovery should do a huge job together that would be awesome🤙🤙🤙 totally wish I hade 400 to spend on the badass rope
Thanks for watching, 👆

you can get the yankum version for $270.
@@tron121 hell ya. Thanks man
Dave sounded so drained, more drained then his crew and yet his crew was trying to finish the rescue job the next day, but of course Dave told his crew that their gonna finish the job the same night. Hats off to you Dave you are the MAN 👊
Ok cool
I'm watching this from the comfort of my warm home in Trinidad and I was stressed and anxious watching this!! Good job fellas!!!
Real good backing skills Great job Crew real iffy on the side of the hill got the Rock out the way cool beans what a night
honestly you guys need to invest in some rockbreaking equipment. use a hammer drill to drill into the rock, pour in rockbreaking concrete, come back the next day. if that takes too long, you can drill holes and pound in wedges. if that takes too long/too much effot, use a Micro Blaster or similar, basically .22 blanks dropped into drill holes and percussion triggered remotely
Quality editing right there
Throwing track on a rocky hillside or mountain. Yuup, did that in Germany once. ONCE! Track tensioner is a must check everytime you stop.
Keep helping people guys, nowadays it's a lost art. I appreciate all you guys do!
Sincerely from Cooperstown ny
