@Jonny Sins how old are you lol
I wonder why the scammers won’t spam on your comment? They spam the life out of every other comment except yours. I bet he’s scared lol. I know I wouldn’t want to be on your bad side.
Would you be interested in supporting a new phenomenon where cattle are managed in a way that can green and regenerate degraded land?
I live in utah and I love your video
Yeah but it's expensive like $1200 a year $99 or what $79 on sale a month still a lot of cash if if your already struggling but I'm sure it works. It better for as much as it is. Sorry for the rant I'm just a broke ass l9l
Like he said in Matt's recovery video; when people need help they call him. When he need help he just buy more equipment.
This robot stupid
To be fair.. When HeavyD gets stuck no one has bigger equipment to help him out with... hence why he buys it!!
Lol, fax
@@Highlandwoodandmetal to be fair!!!... (letterkenny)
I don’t know of anyone that does recovery that has larger equipment. Js.
It’s really cool to see how well you guys are doing with RUclips.. Honestly during the years of the TV show, I was a massive hater.. but when you guys got out of that and picked up your RUclips channel, there was a notable shift in the quality of the content and in the overall vibe you guys had (for the better, in my opinion). Slowly became a fan, and now I am addicted to the videos. You’re doing great work, especially the way you’ve gone out of your way to find large scale projects that are great content and extremely charitable at the same time. People helping people is a beautiful thing!
I'm in that same camp. I always thought these guys were just D-bags with money and using that to do idiotic things.
It wasn't until the Susan Powell coverage that I really turned over a new leaf concerning them, and now I want to stop in at the shop the next time I'm in SLC.
I just started watching discovery episodes. Disappointing after watching the REAL GUYS on you tube! Keep on keeping on dudes!
Thanks for the support guys, we’re stoked to share these wild stories with you
For real dude. Diesel brothers highlighted the entire car enthusiast market and EPA went after everybody. I mean everybody.
@@HeavyDSparks Since I watched you for a first time, i watched all of your videos for until one month, But I ll watch them too soon! So I get back to the first video on the chanel and watched one by one! Love those videos, only i am sad that I can't play to win something because I am from EU, Croatia! Wish you guy's all the best! Greetings from Eastern part of Croatia, the green paradise Baranja! You should come for vacation sometimes to try our spicy meal Fisch paprikaš (soup), and to se beautiful nature!
The entire story behind how this happened and you getting all of these vehicles stuck is just classic and one of the best videos and stories I’ve ever seeN!
In my 22 years in the Army, I had some miserable recoveries (mostly Deep South Georgia swamp). Nothing I had compares to this, and I had some doozies. I can’t imagine the suck of this mission… love the channel!
I got one truck stuck in my field and I felt like a failure. Thanks for making me feel better about myself.

I remember watching every video on the recovery I was stuck in the hospital for a good 3+ weeks and to see the toll i knew it took on you guys helped me to change my attitude about getting out of that dam hospital bed and back to my regular life which did give me that motivation I needed to get out of there so thank you guys cuz even tho I got out of there I still had a good month of daily nurse visits and over a year of physical therapy im still not back to 100% but im fine with that
I was stuck in the hospital for 2 weeks and still going through the recovery. I did the same exact thing man. This group has done so much more then just provide entertainment, they’re changing our lives and I hope they know it!!

Yep in hospital and binging on Double D clips....wonder how he gets stuck when he's done so many by now...
Any of you taken a look on his OTHER channel? Heavy Checklist = Health Related
I just got out of the hospital as well, It’s hard to get going after being sick and cooped up for so long. Praying that you start feeling better and that your health is up to par! God bless
Jeez man I got anxiety just watching this video. Goes to show the loyalty and bond you have with your crew though. You have the guts man. And so does every one of your mates as well. I bet it was an amazing learning experience too.
This man and all of his brothers are true heroes. I love you all for being good people. Full of love and character. I wish I knew you all on a more personal level.❤
The story of how Hans became Hans, and why there is no other. This event shaped Diesel Brothers future in ways that no one could expect, and was the test of the groups mettle, a consolidating moment that's effects ripple through time to this day, and will continue to do so going forward. As bad as this recovery ended up being, so much more good came from it. Thank you for sharing the epic story, and what you've all learned from it about yourselves.
I think you are absolutely right about that.
One thing this proves is that you need a mobile WC and shower unit. A catering unit would also be great. You never know how much these units are needed until they are needed.

THANKS FOR WATCHING.
Only for the women
and a bunkhouse
He has a large motorhome now they'll take on extended trips
And a washer/dryer and bidet 😅
Just goes to show that we can never take anything for granted, you've got all these very capable vehicles that for one reason or another just didn't cut it. Congrats for the perseverance to finally get that beast out. And you certainly have a great bunch of people working for you. Don't quite understand why the state were giving you such a hard time, couldn't they see you were doing everything you possibly could to remedy the situation. Anyway kudos to you all.
If it's anything like the Arkansas river up in Tulsa Oklahoma area that much damage to it will permanently weaken it. Making it 100x easier for the next person to get stuck worse. The Arkansas river has claimed lives from this. One moment you're driving along on a sand bar next moment you are buried/eaten alive almost instantly. And damn near nothing will pull you out. It's illegal for that reason to ever go into that river when "dry"
Utah isn't run by the brightest of people.

How did you explain to Jim that the only reason you did not sink anymore vehicles was because you had no more vehicles left on the island to sink.
Wow. The story brought a tear to my eye. And by the way thank you for what you did out at lake Mead. I live in Las Vegas and I am proud of the fact that you did the work to help that gentleman. Thank you.

The best part of this story is the fact that y'all didn't give up! What a journey! Good job on all the hard work, y'all! Much love!
Just a testimony of you and your teams dedication. This is exactly why I enjoy watching Dave. Planning a trip to Utah in November and hoping I get the opportunity to me some of you. Keep up the awesome work.
This was quite a scene and must have been SO stressful. Way to go for everyone helping you out though that's sick you have such good friends!
As we say back in my home country (New Zealand) - you've 'ate your own dog food' - which means you leant from your mistakes.
Admitting your failures is just the key to moving forward, this was an amazing one guys - keep them all coming.
For sure bro ! 🇳🇿

Glad to finally get the whole story. I have had some horrible stuck events in my life. Some may have been as bad as 1% of this nightmare.
thank you for talking about the scammers and your experience.
Thanks for sharing this HeavyD. It's a life lesson to us all that if the best of us can come unstuck, then so can the rest of us - it's not just Karma and the Gods being mean to the little guys...and then the most important lesson - don't give up, just keep going and trying different angles until you get it right. I feel just a little inspired by this to go out and tackle a few issues I have - thank you again!
29:00 bro I can't even imagine... we have had some multi day recoveries where things have gone to crap but turned around and we were successful. I can't imagine the mental stamina to keep going for 2 weeks!! Hats off to your crew. One benefit is that your team grows incredibly strong sharing experiences like this. Kick ass video buddy!!
Crew turned into family in just two weeks. Huge group morale boost to say the least
I’m shocked to see you commending such incompetence. I’ll unsubscribe from your channel as well. There was no need to sink an excavator simply for content.

Never in my life have I seen tracked equipment that sunk and stuck! This includes 8 years in the Army and mud holes from hell it's self! I'm 56 and thought I'd seen every way and type of vehicle stuck that you could stick! I was wrong, this literally dropped my jaw! Loved this look back, always working, never quitting, getting it done. Great job, Team Sparks!!
I admire your grit and determination to keep going. It did sound like the island didn’t want you there. Sounds like a good story now, but I bet at the time, you were all cussing each other out. Love ya HeavyD! I have finally caught up!

Thank you Dave and friends that video describes how it's like to live with mental illness and depression , keep moving forward everyday
I'm glad you were able to get all of your equipment out and that everyone is safe and sound
That snow machine was a stroke of genius! Definitely needed to spread out the weight of the recovery vehicle (like a rescuer laying down on ice to reach someone who's fallen through)..
Wow that was a humdinger of a situation getting those vehicles stuck like that. There is one thing we can say about you, you don't give up. May God Bless and keep you and your crew Safe.

definitely relate to this one. had our 330 excavator stuck and used our 450 excavator and D8 dozer for an entire 12hr to get it done. and it was ROUGH. we had more solid ground surrounding thankfully. but it was a rough day
Dave that was pretty epic, you single-handedly created your hardest job. Well I am glad you survived and have been able to bring some really great content to us.
Biggest trouble maker you'll ever know is looking at you in the mirror 😅
This was a fun episode of story time with HeavyD.. amazing content and the backstory of that Island excavator recovery makes much more sense now..

Great video guys, love watching what you guys do!
I don’t know how y’all prevail every time but love this channel 😊
Wow! I commend you and your crew for staying on top of it even when it looked and felt hopeless. At the end, the island let you have your vehicles back and you left the island be. Mother Nature always wins, but she's open for negotiations. This felt like one of Mr. Ballen's videos!!!😮😮🤙
When we dug out the Sydney harbour tunnel area to form up the concrete structures the dozer got bogged and thats where it is today burried under lots of material at the fill site in Wollongong NSW
I wish you guys were from scotland when I live,I’m a 56 disabled truck and bus driver and had to give work up due to my disability and all I ever want is a motorhome with disabled access built for me and with not a lot of cash but I need away with my wife of 40 years and after watching you guys I’m impressed, you do everything so professionally
It sucks recovering equipment for people performing the work, and breakage involved is a heart breaker, and recovering your own equipment is done with all your own expense and its not just monetary loses you said it your self almost lost two employees, friendship with the local government, and the feeling of doubt. It sucks but you are one of the best at what you do, so you always get the job done pissed, sad, overworked, you and your crew always get the job done. Kudos for the great content to you and your crew. If what you do wasn't hard anyone could do it, and you would be just another run of the mill so called recovery experts like a lot of the other youtubers.
OMGosh, I am now completely exhausted! Stunning Nightmare … that tested everyone to the max! Maybe why you guys are so tight now? … Having made it thru together such a horrific mission impossible ordeal. Maybe why I love watching you all work on recoveries together. And what you all did for Alan 🥰 BTW, I have seen that scammer but he or she never dares try me! ⚡️💥🔥

The best mud mats are tree logs, I've done this a few times. The longer and wider the better. Also steel plates would've helped to keep the slop from coming back in when you were digging it out.

Great video dude and thank you for the mention about the scammer 👍
What a great and, to me, completely unknown story. Thanks for making this. While it wouldn’t help with any recovery I wonder if you’ve ever thought of hovercraft for moving people etc in these shallow-water / sandy / muddy condition. They certainly have their drawbacks but there isn’t another mode of transport that can beat an air-cushion vehicle where you can’t walk, drive yet the terrain is relatively flat and unobstructed. Thanks!
That would be awesome! Probably the one type of vehicle he doesn't have yet lol. I mean he's already sold the island, but that's a good idea.
Back in 1990, I got a massive tree hauling fork lift stuck in quicksand. I buried it so bad, it took a payloader, a road grader and two electric utility trucks all chained together to get it out. It sank so bad, all you could see was the cab. My boss said, it took 6 hours to get it out. A full day of powerwashing and a week for him to cool off. I am the champ of getting a fork lift stuck. I had to go job hunting too.
Well done 100% golden family team work that have ever heard and seen in my live WELL DONE and respect from Scotland 🎖🏅🥇🥈🥉😃
In the Netherlands we use "bronnering" to temporarily lower the groundwater level. Long pipes are injected into the ground and then a pump is connected to it to slowly dry the ground. No idea if it would have any effect in this situation.

My grandfather worked on cat equipment. When I was a kid he told me about job sites where pipes were pushed in the ground at angle around the stuck equipment to get air to break the suction in generally similar circumstances. He said in some cases dynamite from the job site was dropped down a pipe hoping it break the seal.

The Great Salt Lake always wins, always. I am writing a book about Saltair and the other bathing resorts that used to operate on the shores of the Great Salt Lake. There is a reason none of them are around anymore. I did enjoy your antics on the island but I knew that eventually the Lake would win. Thanks for the great entertainment. I did like your idea of starting cruises on the lake again. They used to be a popular past time, over 100 years ago. I'd love to see them come back.
