More like this please, like the short informative format. And even if topics seem too simple when you think of it, for those with no knowledge it helps just to have a basic reference! I know one year younger me would have loved this knowledge! Anyways keep up the good work!

Made that look easy! I did mine with a plumbers torch and scraper and was utterly miserable, especially the patch in the roof. If I ever do another one I’ll use your method for sure 👍🏻

How I’ve always done it and found it to be easy and cheap. Then wire wheel all the seam sealer away as there is always way to much used.
Can’t wait to see the rest of this build

Hey man, I know this is an old comment, but I’m wondering if wire wheeling the seam sealer away caused any issue. Did you go back over with any type of seam seal?

Did this yesterday with a heat gun, what I didn't know was tar remover though... was planning on sanding it back painfully this will save tons of time!

Spot on. Done several cars like this. The patch on the inside if the roof you have to be mega careful with to avoid damaging the paint on the outside but still possible 👍

Roof coming off all together to be replaced with carbon-Kevlar 😜

I used a heat gun and then petrol to remove the residue. Your tar remover looks much better.

Yeah petrol works but not as good as Tar removal.

I used a company called Dry Ice Makers to get my Dry Ice. Called, ordered and collected the same day. They were very helpful.

I used this method a few years ago when I stripped all of the sound deadening out of my Toyota Carina E (on my channel), the stuff was everywhere but well worth doing. I used AutoSmart Tardis to remove the left over stains, brilliant fun.

Brilliant video did something very similar when i did mine but used WD40 to get the residue off left it for 1- mins and wiped it off :) WD40 works on most sticky stuff just leave it so soak and it turns to jelly and scrapes off . Keep up the brilliant videos :)

I did a second pass with the heat gun on the residue and wiped it off with a rag

Brilliant! I much prefer this method ...Dry ice, aside from being expensive, seems to take a lot longer to implement. Thanks Ruski!
